Kombinationen arbete-familj : I en kvalitativ studie ger Luftfartsverkets anställda sin syn
The purpose of this study was to obtain an understanding of how the employees at LFV Group Swedish Airports and Air Navigation Services (Luftfartsverket) manage to combine work and family, and put this in relation to the concepts of employer of choice and socially sustainable development. Qualitative interviews were carried out with 23 randomly selected participants at the three largest places of work within the organisation. The results showed that the combination of work and family mostly could be managed but that factors like high workload and feelings of stress affected the participants in a negative way. The main measures facilitating the combination of work and family were shorter working hours and support with domestic chores. LFV can partly be considered an employer of choice when it comes to family friendly benefits but changes could be made for further improvement.
Attityder till alkohol- och spelmissbruk
Spel roar människor och ett glas vin till maten kan ses som harmlöst. Trots
detta hamnar en del människor i både spel- och alkoholmissbruk En aspekt som
kan ses som värdefull i detta sammanhang är vilka attityder människor har
gentemot alkohol- och/eller spelmissbruk, går det att urskilja en skillnad i
dessa attityder? Studiens syfte var att, utifrån hur attityder uppkommer,
attitydförändring, Eriksons utvecklingsteori samt andra psykologiska
förklaringsmodeller klargöra attityder till alkohol- och spelmissbruk. Dessutom
var syftet att förklara bakomliggande psykologiska faktorer till dessa
attityder. En enkätundersökning med 48 stycken deltagare har använts för att
uppnå detta.
Business Potential of Software Defined Radio Technology
The business potential of software defined radio (SDR) technology is studied by evaluating whether or not its characteristics correspond to those particular to a disruptive technology. The maturity of the SDR technology concept is illuminated by analyzing the opinions and perspectives of a selection of representatives for different stakeholders in the wireless communications market. Characteristics as, for example, the degree of consensus about the utility of SDR technology and the awareness of features and limitations are studied by application of the theory of technological frames. This theory helps us understand how and when technology evolution takes place. Finally we describe the value network structures of some potentially viable application areas for SDR and suggest some possible business opportunities based on SDR technology.This thesis is carried out as a case study and the research data is obtained from secondary sources, such as literature and Internet publications as well as interviews with people well experienced in the field of wireless communications.
Datoriseringen i samhället : Äldres upplevelser
As technology have continued to develop over the latest decades and become more advanced the pressure on the general citizens understanding of technology becomes a essential part to live in our society today. The transition have affected our society in great ways and have made a great impact on different groups, one of them being the elderly population in our society. The purpose of this study is to examine how the fast technological development in the latest decades have affected the elderly in our society. This from their perspective by gathering empirical data through semi-structured interviews with elderly people involved in the Agnes-project, a research project focused on improving the general quality of life for older people and increase their knowledge about technology. The study has shown that after the older peoples time involved in the Agnes-project their quality of life had improved in different areas. Areas such as increased cognitive activity, increased interest in new technology and an improvement in their communication with friends and family.

The purpose of this paper was that through discourse analysis look at how gender and the equality debate is created between two head debaters and commenter's on a forum. We have used Norbert Elias and John L. Scotson´s (1999) theory about Established and Outsiders to see power struggles between groups in the debate. With Jonathan Potters analysis tools in his book Representing Reality (1996) we were able to analyze the debate texts. Using discourse psychology, we were able to see how people use tactical discourse in their texts to represent themselves and the world in different ways.
Den fysiska arbetsmiljön ? Dess samband med arbetstillfredsställelse och hälsa
Vårt syfte med denna uppsats var att undersöka den fysiska arbetsmiljöns
relation till arbetstillfredsställelse samt självrapporterad hälsa. Fysisk
arbetsmiljö sammanställdes till följande tre variabler: estetik, symbolism och
ergonomi. En webbenkät med 35 frågor skickades ut till 162 anställda som var
utplacerade på olika kontor inom ett medelstort företag i Sverige. Pearson
korrelationstest utfördes för att se om det fanns något samband mellan
variablerna. Resultatet visade att det fanns signifikanta samband mellan
arbetstillfredsställelse och både estetik och symbolism.
Individens uppväxtort och karaktärsdrag i relation till att arbeta på annan ort
Tidigare forskning har visat att individers omgivning (klimat, natur) har relativt stor inverkan för hur pass stor vemodet blir vid byte till en ny omgivning. Omgivningen anses även påverka och forma individens personlighetsdrag. Studiens syfte var att undersöka vilka individtyper som är mest villiga till att byta ort för ett lämpligt arbete, i relation till deras huvudsakliga uppväxtort. Undersökningen bestod av 250 deltagare. Resultatet redovisade signifikanta samband mellan både uppväxtort och attityd till att arbeta i stora och mindre städer.
Mod, motivation och motgångar - vägen till framgång inom entreprenörskap En kvalitativ studie baserad på djupintervjuer med framgångsrika entreprenörer och intraprenörer
Successful companies are built upon successful individuals. It is these individuals that will create, developand grow the companies and organizations of tomorrow. The primary aim of this paper is to highlight someof the key characteristics of extraordinary entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs, as well as gain a deeper understandingof what motivates them, from a time and goal-oriented perspective. Despite the importance of theseindividuals and their massive impact on society's future, there is still a lot that hasn't been investigatedregarding their entrepreneurial drive, from an academic perspective. A comparison between two groups ofindividuals was made, with a total of twenty in-depth interviews.
Kritiska möten mellan lärare och elev: en kvalitativ studie av åtta elevers upplevelser av positivt respektive negativt bemötande
Denna studie undersöker lärare-elevrelationen utifrån elevens upplevelser. Syftet med studien var att få fördjupad kunskap om vad det är gymnasieelever upplever när de känner sig positivt respektive negativt bemötta av lärare, i skolsituationen och att pröva hypotesen att lärarens förmåga till, eller brist på, empati är ett nyckelelement i informanternas minnesbilder. Inledningsvis belyses relationen utifrån aktuell forskning. Åtta djupintervjuer genomfördes och analyserades enligt en fenomenologisk femstegsprocess. Resultatet av studien visar att empati är en viktig komponent i elevernas minnesbilder och fyra teman abstraherades ur intervjumaterialet: Förståelse, jämlikhet, engagemang och rättvisa.
RELATIONSMARKNADSFÖRING : Att skapa relationer över Internet
Schizophrenia can cause symptoms such as auditory hallucinations, delusions, emotional blunting, apathy and lack of motivation. These result in a diminished ability to participate in daily activities and bring the client group into the domain of occupational therapists. The purpose of this literature review is to compile the latest findings in occupational therapy interventions for individuals with schizophrenia. Furthermore guidance regarding the utility of the interventions will be given based on the author?s assessment of the evidence in the 22 articles included.

In Sweden we are spared from large natural disasters. However, in January 2005 part of Sweden was struck by a hurricane. It did not only leave a decimated landscape in its wake. It also left its mark on many people who lived in the south of Sweden. In this paper the reader will be presented six qualitative interviews that build on forestowners' experiences during and in the aftermath of the Storm of January 2005.

Det emotionella valet - ett alternativ och komplement till rationaliteten
The purpose of this thesis is to evaluate and develop a useful theory of human behavior that recognizes the importance of our emotions. The new framework, called the theory of emotional choice, is developed by a holistic method in which results from the fields of psychology, sociology and (neuro-) biology are used to mutually support the conclusions. The theory is distilled into six preliminary points, which are based on the finding that we are not thinking as logical, rational and longsighted as is often assumed. Instead the regular human thinking is suggested to be shortsighted, intuitive and ruled by our emotions and our needs for generality, causality and normality.To demonstrate the usefulness of the new framework, it is used in an analysis of financial bubbles. Additionally, the fields of negotiation, election and ethics are suggested as potentially interesting to analyze with the new theory..
Entrepreneurs subjective well-being and job satisfaction: does personality matter?
Previous research has suggested that there is a strong and positive relationship between being an entrepreneur and possessing a high degree of subjective well-being as well as job satisfaction. The big five personality traits have also been argued to be significantly related to both subjective well-being and job satisfaction. Little is however known if personality affects entrepreneurs and regular employees differently. In this paper the impact of personality traits on the cognitive part of subjective well-being as well as job satisfaction are investigated separately among entrepreneurs and regular employees. This is done through OLS-regressions using a Swedish nationally representative survey Employment, Material Resources, and Political Preferences (EMRAPP), where entrepreneurs were oversampled in order to be able to compare entrepreneurs (N = 2483) and regular employees (N = 2642).
Fördomar och skillnader på ledarskap sett ur ett genusperspektiv
Det finns fyra kvinnliga ordinarie VD i 300 börsnoterade företag och 85 % av alla styrelseuppdrag innehas av män. En anledning till att kvinnor är en minoritet bland diverse maktpositioner kan möjligen förklaras av att det kan finnas hinder och fördomar gentemot kvinnligt ledarskap. Det vi ämnar undersöka i denna artikel är vilka fördomar mot kvinnligt ledarskap som finns. Tre kategorier av deltagare, folket, medarbetare och ledare har deltagit i denna kvantitativa undersökning. Genom enkätfrågor har vi fastställt vilka egenskaper som generellt appliceras på kvinnligt respektive manligt ledarskap.Resultatet visar att det finns förutfattade meningar om både de kvinnliga och manliga ledaregenskaperna och att deras egenskaper skiljer sig åt.
