Historical research about the so-called New Left was until the late 1990s an entirely newacademic field in Swedish academia. However, a large part of this research still deals withquestions concerning ?who did what? and perhaps more notably ?who was right?.This thesis is an attempt to move away from such inquiries and instead look towardshow one albeit small but very important part of this so-called New Left discussed andused the term America and things American. Formed largely around the Anti-WarMovement, the Marxist-Leninist ? or ?Maoist? ? Left naturally opposed US worldpolicies; but perhaps more interesting a significant part of the ideas about America andthe Vietnam War seemed to stem from USA itself ? such as naming your anti-war folkgroup ?Freedom Singers? after the US civil rights group ?The Freedom Singers?.Analyzing three Swedish Marxist-Leninist magazines the study thus complements theresearch on not only the Swedish New Left but also the study of anti-Americanisms;firstly, by examining what the Marxist-Leninist left considered particularly American;secondly, by studying in what context these particular Americanism was discussed; and,thirdly, by observing if these notions changed over time, and why.

Uppsatsen handlar om unga mäns syn på framtiden utifrån om de har arbete eller är arbetslösa. I uppsatsen utgår jag från teorier om Avindustrialisering, Arbete, Ungdomsarbetslöshet och Identitet och arbete. Detta är teorier som används i min undersökning för att skapa större förståelse för vilken situation unga män i industriorten Olofström befinner sig i och för att förstå deras åsikter och tankar om arbete, arbetslöshet och framtidsvisioner. Industriorten Olofström ägnas ett kapitel i min undersökning för att kunna se hur Olofström har utvecklats från blomstrande industriort på 1960-70-talet då det fanns stor tillgång på industriarbete i Olofström, till dagens samhälle då ständiga rationaliseringar har minskat arbetstillfällena och gjort så att det i dagens Olofström inte finns samma efterfrågan på industriarbetare som det fanns förr.I uppsatsen har jag till största del använt mig utav kvalitativ metod då jag gjort flera intervjuer med olika unga män bosatta i Olofströms kommun. Med hänsyn till anonymiteten så benämner jag de sex unga männen som jag intervjuat som intervjuperson 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 och 6.

Detta examensarbete granskar hur konflikten mellan försvaret, med inriktning på militärt flyg, och förnybar energi genom vindkraft hanteras i den fysiska planeringen. Studien bistår med faktamaterial från båda parter i konflikten i en objektiv framställning. Konflikten granskas på nationell likväl som på lokal nivå. En bakgrundsbeskrivning av försvarets förändrade roll sedan kalla kriget ges. Parallellt beskrivs lagstiftningens utveckling sedan arbetet med den fysiska riksplaneringen började på 1960-talet.

I fo?ljande uppsats kommer filmkritikens utveckling underso?kas. Till grund fo?r arbetet ligger en hypotes om att det under de senaste 60-a?ren har skett en fo?renkling av filmkritiken. Syftet a?r att underso?ka ifall det ga?r att hitta bela?gg fo?r tidigare na?mnda hypotes och i sa? fall hur filmkritiken fo?ra?ndrats.

I dagens segregationsdiskurs läggs fokus ofta på de storskaliga miljonprogrammen. De människor som bor där beskylls ofta för att själva vara orsaken till segregationsproblemen. En vanlig uppfattning är att dessa människor genom egna val bidragit till de segregationsmönster vi har idag. Sällan belyses andra gruppers val som orsak till fenomenet. Miljonprogrammet uppfördes mellan 1965 och 1975 av den socialdemokratiska regeringen som en symbol för det moderna välfärdssamhället. Alla skulle formas till moderna människor.

Sammanfattning Det befintliga va-nätet växer hela tiden och blir större och större. Ledningarna i nätet har en viss antagen livslängd som talar om ungefär hur länge de antas hålla. Man antar att de äldre ledningarna löper större risk att gå sönder och att därmed behöver renoveras mer än de yngre, eftersom de når förväntad livslängd först. Innan 1980-talet renoverade man inte va-ledningar, istället grävde man upp de gamla ledningarna och anlade nya. I och med att nätet är så stort idag är det inte ekonomiskt hållbart att lägga om gamla ledningar hela tiden. Därför började man i början av 1980-talet prova olika renoveringsmetoder.

Detta är en kapacitets- och känslighetsanalys av bagagehanteringssystem vid Arlanda flygplats. Studien är ett examensarbete för civilingenjörsutbildningen Kommunikations- och Transportsystem vid Linköpings universitet och är utförd på uppdrag av Luftfartsverket, LFV Teknik under 2004 och 2005. Studien har gjorts med datorstödd simulering som analysverktyg. Studien har gjorts genom att en simuleringsmodell av det studerade systemet har byggts i simuleringsprogrammet Arena. Denna modell har matats med trafikunderlag från en normalvecka under 2004.

In Sweden has the temporary agency work industry settled in an explosive way since the deregulation of the unemployment agency monopole in 1993. The demand of civil right for the employer that is rented out confronts the entire labour law regulation with new challenges.The purpose with this paper is an investigation of the principle of equal treatment in The Swedish temporary agency work act and also to create a deeper understanding of the effects of labour and employment relationship. An investigation of relevant collective agreements will be done to highlight the difficulties the principal of equal treatment is exposed to. Further on is there a will to gain understanding for the wage concept and what possible can be included in the wage concept in relation to the principal of equal treatment in The temporary agency work directive. By using the dogmatic method, an approach to descriptive identifying relevant sources of law and clarify the legal situation in the area.In the conclusions it will be determined that the principle of equal treatment in The Swedish temporary agency work act have different effects depending on if the temporary agency or if the client corporation is tied to an collective agreement alternative if a collective agreement is completely missing.

In the EU there are EC Directives that Member States of EU should follow. Sweden has undertaken to transpose EC Directives regarding the working environment to Swedish Provisions.  In 4 April 2006, the European Commission had some criticism against the Swedish implementation of the Construction Sites Directive. The Swedish Work Environment Authority has in response to this criticism reworked the Work Environment Act and related provision about building and civil engineering work. The changes came into force 1 January 2009.These changes have resulted in some working methods and even new responsibility subjects must be reviewed. The purpose of this exam project was to investigate if contractors and clients in the construction sector, had have time to update themselves on this front and adapt to these changes.

Läroboken har en viktig roll i undervisningen, så pass att den på många sätt styr undervisningen. Historia formar på många sätt även vårat historiemedvetande. Med utgångspunkt från detta och diverse undersökningar som påvisar att ungdomen i Sverige har dålig kunskap om kommunistiska regimers brott mot mänskligheten så försöker detta arbete ge förklaringar till den dåliga kunskap genom kvalitativ text och bildanalys av läroböcker. En avgränsning har även använts där gymnasiet och grundskolan över en tidsperiod som sträcker sig från 1960-talet fram till nutid. En avgränsning har även gjorts där sovjetunionen tjänar som representant för kommunistiska regimers brott, då denna är den första regimen i och med revolutionen 1917 samt ligger i vårt närområde.

This thesis has been carried out on behalf of IV Produkt AB and intends to set an average ratio of thermal energy losses in apartment buildings that were built during the 1960-1990. This shall be derived by analyzing the total district energy consumption that has been divided into three parts: heat energy losses (the actual heating requirements), the heating of domestic hot water and heating energy consumption for the controlled ventilation.Three different residential areas that were built during the years 1962-1966 and one that was built in 1993 has been analyzed. All residential areas are located in Växjö urban and contains between four and six apartment buildings.The analyzed objects have a mechanical exhaust ventilation systems and district heating as the heating method. No own laboratory work or experiments have been done in this thesis, the calculations have been done on the basis of parameters from VEAB, interviews with property managers, and literature studies. By calculations, we have got a result that is reported in Chapter 6.

Den palliativa vårdfilosofin härstammar från hospice-rörelsen som tog form i England under 1960-talet. Syftet med den palliativa vården är att människor i livets slutskede ska få uppleva största möjliga livskvalitet. Bakgrunden beskriver den palliativa vårdfilosofin samt definierar begreppen lidande, hälsa, välbefinnande och vårdrelation. Studien genomfördes i form av en litteraturöversikt och materialet analyserades med inspiration av en kvalitativ innehållsanalys. Syftet med studien var att belysa de faktorer som ur sjuksköterskans perspektiv dels kan åsamka patienten vårdlidande och dels kan ge patienten välbefinnande i mötet inom palliativ vård.

This essay discusses the Laholm?s bay and its eutrofication problems. The question of issue is: Have the efforts to limit the eutrofication in the Laholm?s bay been effective? What is the local actor?s opinion whether the measures have been effective or not? What efforts have been made to prevent the leakage of nutrients from fields and forestland? The Laholm's bay is located in the south part of the Swedish west coast. The problem was noticed in the 1960´s by local fishermen that experienced a lack of catch.

AbstractWith increasing population and increasing demands for comfort and thus an increase in energy demand, it is necessary to examine various energy-efficiency measures. This work deals with the ability to control the flow through the heating system to achieve the desired comfort with as little energy as possibleA heating system contains of different parts, roughly speaking, you can divide it to three main components: Heat source, Distribution and Heat emitters. All components are working together to bring heat to the building. What is examined in this report are different ways of adjusting the flow and supply temperature and how it affects comfort and energy use in a building.At today ?s date the conventional method is to use a high flow through the heating system, which affects pressure drop and cooling of the fluid.

This work concerns the book "Litauiska noveller" [Lithuanian Short Stories],  a collection of nine Lithuanian short stories translated into Swedish by noted Finnish diplomat Ragnar Öller (1893-1960) and tutor and  journalist Nils Bohman (1902-1943).  The authors of the nine short stories are Jonas Bili?nas, Vincas Kr?v?-Mickevi?ius, Antanas ?ukauskas-Vienuolis, Ignas Jurkunas-Scheynius, Jurgis Savickis, Petras Cvirka, and Petron?l? Orintait?.The 242-page book published 1940 in Stockholm, was the first translation of literary texts from the Lithuanian appearing in the Swedish language. In spite of a professionally carried out translation, the book never gained the attention of Swedish literary circles, and has more or less been forgotten throughout the post war period and up to the present.The purpose of this paper is to investigate the history leading up to the publication of the book within the context of Swedish-Lithuanian relations, and analyse the possible reasons of why this work remained unnoticed for so many decades. Why was the book not reviewed in the Swedish daily press? Was the book ignored because of the choice of authors of the novels? Was the disregard due to the political situation?A discussion from a few selected points of view follows on some possible reasons of why the launch of "Litauiska noveller" failed in 1940.An appendix listing published works of Lithuanian authors in the Scandinavian languages (Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, and Icelandic) up to 1996 is attached..
