This thesis discuss the matter of non-profit-making associations as a self regulatory technique out of a theoretical concept of power. The object for the study is the non-profit-making association Ditt Nya Hageby, which work in the neigborhood of Hageby, a suburb to Norrköping. In the study the association is placed in a contemporary postmodern social context and analyzed through semi- structured qualitative interviews, accordingly to hermeneutical method, with five active members of the association as informants. The association consists of members who lives in the neighborhood. Together with a hired organizer they realizes their own ideas in to projects which unquestionably improves the social and physical enviroment in Hageby.

Luleå hamn byggdes i början av 1960-talet. Man når hamnen via Sandöleden och varje år anlöps hamnen av ca 570 fartyg varav en betydande del har en lastförmåga, dödvikt, om mer än 70 000 ton. I och med den pågående landhöjningen har djupet i farleden minskat med ca 40 cm jämfört med ursprungligt dimensionerat djup. För att man även i framtiden ska kunna nyttja hamnen optimalt behöver farleden muddras. Av två olika alternativ, med avseende på muddringsdjup, har man förordat ett vilket innebär att återställa leden till PANMAX ? standard dvs.

This bachelor thesis is about civilian marching bands in the province Värmland industrial communities, with a focus on Degerfors, Edsvalla, Gruvön, Nors, Slottsbron, and Vålberg bands. Degerfors, Gruvön, and Slottsbron bands are three corps that still operates concerts and performances. The other three unions are defunct.In Värmland, there were many mills that were operating well into the 1900s, roughly speaking there were about 25 mills in various industrial areas. These mills had operations in glass, iron, and paper, each user had a band at least a brass sextet and today there are only eight bands left in Värmland. Bofors in Karlskoga, Charlottenberg, Degerfors, Dejefors, Gruvöns in Grums, Hagfors, Skoghall, and Slottsbron bands.What is the reason that so many bands have disappeared? To answer the question I have investigated the importance of four factors have had for the unions: finance, recruitment collaboration with the music and arts, as well as cooperation with educational associations.The results show a marked reduction in civil bands, from about 25 corps to eight corps today.

Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) utvecklades under 1960-talet eftersom det fanns ett behov av att snabba upp överföringen av dokument i samband med transporter. Men det dröjde ända till 1980-talet innan EDI började användas inom de större industrierna. Att använda sig av EDI innebär att affärssystem kan utbyta information direkt, med minimal eller ingen mänsklig inblandning. Genom att använda sig av EDI-teknik inom eller mellan organisationer kan man dra nytta av ett antal fördelar, däribland sänkta kostnader, höjd datakvalitet och höjd konkurrenskraft. Trots dessa fördelar har EDI haft särskilt svårt att få fotfäste hos den stora majoriteten av de mindre och medelstora företagen.

Rörlighet mellan regioner har sedan länge ansetts vara en bidragande faktor till tillväxten i Sverige. På 1960- och 70-talen minskade rörligheten i Sverige. På 1980-talet ökade rörligheten i samband med den rådande högkonjunkturen. Den ökade rörlighetstrenden fortsatte en bit in på 1990-talet. Det finns delade meningar om vad det är som påverkar rörligheten mellan regioner.

The study is based on interviews with eith people who have suffered from exhaustion but today are recovered. To my aid I have used tree different questions: What part have the social network of family and friends ment to the recovery? What part has the professional relationships with doctors, therapists and curators ment to the recovery? How have you changed your life in order to maintain balance?The interviews pointed out the importance of the social relationships as support, feedback and understanding that the process takes time.

Denna magisteruppsats i sociologi avser att beskriva och analysera genusforskningens utveckling från det politiska och det filosofiska till det vetenskapliga tänkandet. Anledningen till att denna uppsats kom att handla om genusforskningen var för att ämnet känns aktuellt både ur en privat - och samhällssynvinkel. Dessutom är ämnet genusforskningen något som blir mer och mer uppmärksammat och då genusforskningen i Sverige fyller 30 år känns det angeläget att uppmärksamma det i en uppsats och redogöra för hur viktigt det är att uppmärksamma ämnet och se på världen med genusglasögon. Den teoretiska delen avser att förklara de olika begreppen inom genusforskningen för att läsaren ska få en förförståelse. En analys kommer att genomföras hur genusforskningen har utvecklats från det politiska och filosofiska tänkandet till det vetenskapliga.

In November 2010, The Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions (Sveriges Kommuner och Landsting) distributed a survey where 53 % of the responding municipalities declared that they use Twitter. Out of the municipalities that declared they did not use social media, 49 % answered that they were planning on using it but that they had not gotten started. The purpose with social media was primarily declared to be maintaining dialogue with citizens and a channel for information.The informal ?twittersphere? is a new environment for the conventionally formal government communication, and with it comes an entirely new set of demands on the style and content of texts, compared to other media. The purpose of my work was to present a style proposal for the public sector?s communication on Twitter, with the help of theory and empirical data.My methods consisted of text analysis and qualitative interviews.

Uppvärmningskostnader för äldre flerbostadshus utgör oftast en tung post i de löpande driftskostnaderna. Att som fastighetsägare se över vilka alternativ till uppvärmning det finns på marknaden kan leda till stora besparingar i en värld där energikostnader bara ökar och ökar. Lamellhus från perioden 1941-1960 utgör en stor andel av Sveriges bostadsbestånd och är i behov av modernisering. I denna rapport studerar vi uppvärmningskällorna fjärrvärme och grundvattenvärmepump för en sådan byggnad ur ett kostnads- och miljöperspektiv. Genom att skapa en modell av byggnaden i VIP Energy beräknas behovet av tillförd energi för uppvärmning och tappvatten. Livscykelkostnader för de olika uppvärmningsalternativen beräknas under en 20-års period.

This study focuses upon the new societal objects that are termed public privatepartnerships where the public sector forms strategic alliances with the private sectorand the civil society to manage the wicked issues of today. An exampel of suchcooperation is Vänerhamn AB where the municipalities around the lake of Vänernand the private shipping companies got togheter to handle an economic crisis of theshipping buisiness. The partnership Vänerhamn has developed from a problematicactivity to a healthy company and the aim of this thesis is to illuminate thisdevelopment through an historical institutional approach, focusing critical junctureto discover if the governance theory can be used to understand the partnershipspositive process. This will be done through research questions about the organisation of thepartnership, about the members interests with the partnership and about eventuallycoordination problems in the partnership. The questions derive from dimensions ingovernance theory, central for the activity of partnerships. Interviews with centralinformants where held and it was complemented through a document analyses inorder to search for indications of the dimensions and that is the methodologicalapproach of the study. The conclusion of this thesis is that the governance theory can be used tounderstand Vänerhamns postive development since the members interest with thepartnership to a begining was not at all conformed and that led to obviouscoordination problems.

Studiens syfte är att utreda hur väl påbyggnader i CLT står sig som alternativ i konkurrens med andra metoder att ta fram nya bostäder inom tätort där ett behov av förtätning finns. Studien riktar sig till en eventuell byggherre och i första hand till uppdragsgivaren: AB Gotlandshem.Kvartert Höken 1 är uppfört i början på 1960-talet. De aktuella byggnaderna för en eventuell påbyggnad är tre hus om två våningsplan och källare. Dessa byggnader benämns: B, D och F.

This thesis examines how Swedish newspaper media problematize surveillance. This is done by analysing the media reports from two major surveillance events: the debate in 2008 about the legislation concerning the expansion of the rights of Försvarets Radioanstalt to monitor internet and telephone traffic crossing the Swedish borders, and the revealing of an ethnically based index including over 4000 individuals created by the Swedish police. The thesis sets out to expand the knowledge about media?s role as a interpreting source of information concerning how people understand and relate to surveillance (Barnard-Wills, 2011; Carlsson, 2009; Greenberg & Hier, 2009). The thesis attempts to answer the question whether Swedish media problematizations regarding the abovementioned surveillance events correlates with the most common theories of surveillance critique.

Luftfarten står för en betydande del av koldioxidutsläpp i planetens atmosfär. Utsläpp från luftfart är en komplex fråga som inte är statsbundet i den mening att ett enstaka land inom EU inte kan åstadkomma en betydande sänkning av koldioxidutsläpp. Luftfartsstyrelsen innehar myndighetsrollen i Sverige och är landets representant i internationella sammanhang. För att internationellt klara en minskning av koldioxidutsläpp diskuteras det inom regeringen och internationellt, att flyget i framtiden ska anslutas till handel med utsläppsrätter. Myndighetsrollen för civil luftfart ligger på Luftfartsstyrelsen sedan 1 januari 2005.

In the new media society, social media has become an important part of many organizations' daily lives. Organizations, whether public or private, must be where their audience is and many times, these can be found on social media channels like Facebook. Leading researchers in the fields of crisis communication and relationship management believe that social media is a great tool for managing relationships between an organization and its' public, whether it's before, during or after a crisis.The purpose of this study is to examine how the Karlstad municipality use Facebook to manage civic relations before, during and after a crisis. The municipality's approach will be compared to the citizens' experiences of the municipality's communication in different stages of a crisis.The theoretical framework used in this essay is the research on crisis communication and relationship management. How these two frameworks can be integrated with social media like Facebook, is an important part of understanding how the Karlstad municipality make use of Facebook to manage civic relations and communicate before, during and after a crisis.The empirical study consists of a qualitative interview, two qualitative content analysis and an online survey.
