Problemet i den här uppsatsen handlar om det börsnoterade bolaget Fenix Outdoors finansiella kommunikation på internet. Genom att på en övergripande nivå utgå ifrån redovisningsteoretiska resonemang, Stockholmsbörsens regelverk och rekommendationer samt genom att utföra en kvalitativ studie, borde det vara möjligt att på ett rationellt sätt konstruera en normativ modell för utformning av finansiell kommunikation på internet. Denna modell ska alltså fungera som ett vägledande instrument till hur Fenix Outdoor bör utforma sin hemsida. Modellen i sig ska vara av generaliserande karaktär, vilket innebär att börsnoterade bolag generellt ska kunna använda sig av modellen för att utforma sin finansiella kommunikation på internet. Den här uppsatsen bygger på en form av kvalitativ fallstudie av företaget Fenix Outdoor.

Syftet med studien var att beskriva erfarenheter av att bedöma klienters körförmåga - ur arbetsterapeuters perspektiv. Undersökningsgruppen bestod av sju arbetsterapeuter verksamma vid sjukhus i Norrbottens län. Resultatet har i förhållande till studiens syfte identifierat arbetsterapeuternas erfarenhet av att tillämpa instrument, informera samt delge resultat av körförmågebedömningar. Studien bidrar även med arbetsterapeuternas erfarenhet av ökat behov för vidareutveckling inom det aktuella ämnet. I diskussionen lyfts vikten av information fram och på vilket sätt den framhålls till klienterna.

Value-at-Risk (VaR) is among financial institutions a commonly used tool for measuring market risk. Several methods to calculate VaR exists and different implementations often results in different VaR forecasts. An interesting implementation is historical simulation, and the purpose of this thesis is to examine whether historical simulation with dynamic volatility updating is useful as a model to calculate VaR and how this differs in regard to type of asset or instrument. To carry out the investigation six different models are implemented, which then are tested for statistical accuracy through Christoffersens test. We find that incorporation of volatility updating into the historical simulation method in many cases improves the model.

The purpose of this essay is to perform a comparative study of first a pedagogical/rhetorical and then a therapeutic method, to help students overcome their speech anxiety. My choice stayed at focusing on the academic world and the benefits offered to mainly students. I have chosen two institutions with long experience of work with speech anxiety: Instutionen of Swedish, rhetoric and journalism at Södertörns Högskola and Student Health at Uppsala University. I want to find the advantages and disadvantages of the two universities and in no way define what is more favorable..

Svenskt abstract: Denna uppsats syftar till att undersöka och belysa vad enhetschefer på en socialförvaltning efterfrågar för kompetensutveckling avseende sin personal, samt deras förhållningssätt gentemot kompetensutvecklingars innehåll och utförare. Jag vill med denna uppsats belysa enhetschefernas attityder till, och kunskap om, olika typer av kompetensutveckling för sin personal. Detta görs med hjälp av intervjuer med enhetschefer och förklaras utifrån organisationsteori med inriktning på ett instrumentellt perspektiv. Resultat i denna uppsats visar att det enhetscheferna efterfrågar är beroende av hur organisationsstrukturen är utformad, vilken kompetens som finns idag och vilken kompetens som fattas i organisationen.

This study examines gender differences in the perception and utilization of social support in traditional female- and male workplaces. This study confirms results from earlier studies which suggest that there are gender differences. The survey instrument measures four types of social support: informational, instrumental, appraisal and emotional among 314 working women and men. Women report higher levels of social support on all four types. There is a significant difference in instrumental support between women working in female dominated workplaces compared to men working in male-dominated workplaces and between some of the trades.

Uppsatsen är ett försök att redogöra för hur ett antal trum- och slagverkslärare tänker kring frågan: ?varför är det så få tjejer som väljer att spela trummor? Hur uppfattas skillnaderna mellan tjejer och killar i hur de närmar sig trummorna samt hur de blir bemötta i det pedagogiska rummet? Grunden för arbetet är ett antal intervjuer med trum- och slagverkslärare, som arbetar på kulturskolor och på gymnasieskolor och deras tankar och reflektioner. Resultaten och vår analys visar att lärarnas uppfattning är att det är traditionella könsmönster och traditioner som står i vägen för att fler tjejer skulle välja att spela trummor. Undersökningen visar att tjejer inte på något sätt är sämre än killar på att spela trummor men att de saknar drivkraft och motivation i jämförelse med killarna. Ett problem är att det saknas kvinnliga förebilder som spelar trummor..

Under vårterminen 2011 har jag studerat hur ett verktyg påverkar en arbetsprocess. Från en idé har ett projekt vuxit fram och två ljudbanker för musikproduktion har producerats, detta har gjorts möjligt genom att jag har studerat digital ljudproduktion på Blekinge Tekniska Högskola, där intresset för det som blivit mitt kandidatarbete, har väckts till liv. Mitt kandidatarbete har resulterat i två ljudbanker, den ena banken har fokus på digitala trummor medan den andra har fokus på synthar. Slutreflektionen berättar hur denna process har gått tillväga, och hur resultatet blev. Jag för fram för- och nackdelar av arbete i Dune, hämtar fakta från kända producenter inom elektronisk musik och bedömer det resultat jag har får. På både gott och ont har dessa två ljudbanker blivit två produkter.

The purpose of the present essay, as part of the project Self esteem and Life circumstances among teenagers, was to investigate the rate of both deliberate self-harm (DSH) and risk behaviour related to eating disorders in 14-year-old swedish adolescents, gender differences in DSH, and possible correlations between DSH and risk behaviours related to eating disorder. In addition, the effects of expressive writing (Pennebaker & Beall, 1986) on DSH and risk behaviours related to eating disorders were investigated. Data from two pilot studies are included. In total, 198 14-year-olds from four different schools in southern Sweden participated. For the purpose of measuring the rate of DSH, a simplified version of Gratz's (2001) Deliberate Self-Harm Inventory (DSHI) was used.

This essay is a narrative analyze of the computer game Halo. The purpose of the essay is to see what function the narrative elements have in a computer game of the action genre. The analyze is done with a neo-formalistic approach according to the theory of David Bordwell and Kristin Thompson. The choice of game was based on it's positive reviews mentioning the story. The essay tries to give a picture of research in the field and researchers views on narratives and computer games.
