When stormwater occurs near human activity the water gets polluted. The purity and composition vary widely depending on the types of activities in the area, the type of surface the water comes in contact with, precipitation and many more parameters. It has long been known that stormwater quality can affect both human health and the environment as stormwater is a major contributor to pollution of receiving waters.A human activity that has an impact on the environment in several different ways is traffic and stormwater is no exception. Airborne gases that react with precipitation, oil leaks and fuel systems that drops down on the ground, metals from brake linings and rubber particles from tire wear are some of the aspects you have to take into account when categorizing the relationship between traffic and polluted stormwater.In this project, stormwater samples from a parking lot in Halmstad, Sweden were collected and analyzed with an atomic spectrophotometer. The presence and relationship between copper, cadmium and zinc with different rainfall parameters have been studied.

BakgrundEn vårdskada är, enligt Patientsäkerhetslagen SOSFS 2010:659, 2011,?Lidande, kroppslig eller psykisk skada eller sjukdom samt dödsfall som hade kunnat undvikas om adekvata åtgärder hade vidtagits vid patientens kontakt med hälso- och sjukvården?. Den vanligaste vårdskadan är vårdrelaterad infektion. Att systematiskt förbättra rutiner vid inläggning och hantering av centralvenös kateter (CVK) har visat sig vara ett effektivt sätt att förebygga CVK- relaterade infektioner (CRI). Ett förbättringsarbete genomfördes under år 2010 på central intensivvårdsavdelning (CIVA) och neurointensivvårdsavdelning (NIVA) på Sahlgrenska Universitetssjukhuset/Sahlgrenska Sjukhuset i Göteborg.

Denna kandidatuppsats har analyserat interna parametrar som påverkarlönsamhetsmåttet RevPAR (Revenue Per Available Room/intäkt per tillgängligt rum)för hotellföretag i staden Göteborg. Syftet är att få en djupare förståelse för vilkainterna parametrar som påverkar lönsamhet, samt hur och i vilken utsträckning.Studien baserades på en teoretisk referensram bestående av ?Resource-based view?och flertal tidigare studier inom ämnet. Det senare ledde till ett val av tio internaparametrar, med tillhörande hypoteser för undersökningen. Empirin framställdes avinsamlade värden från ett urval på 34 hotellföretag.

This essay aims to examine how theories within childhood sociology have evolved. The main questions are: Who are the central scientists within the field, what are their objects of study and who are the intended recipients of their work? How can the origin of the theories be described? Which elements are central in the theories and have they changed over time? How can the theories be evaluated based on criteria of valid theories?The study was based on a qualitative literature review. Six scientists' publications were examined, ranging from the time of the theories establishment to present time. In the analysis hermeneutics and theories of scientific development were used to seek explanations.The main results show that the central elements in the theories describe childhood as a social phenomenon and a structural category.

Att växa inåt, eller att förtäta, är något som man i många städer strävar efter. En av dem är Malmö som i sin nya översiktsplan, ÖP2012, lägger mycket fokus på just förtätning. Det är ett viktigt steg ifrån den funktionsuppdelade till den blandade staden och kan innebära både miljömässiga, sociala och ekonomiska fördelar. Exempelvis genom att resurser samutnyttjas bättre, färre transporter, större trygghet, bättre integration och större attraktivitet. En ogenomtänkt förtätning kan dock innebära negativa konsekvenser.

The purpose of this study is to examine the view of Swedish language teachers on the role of fiction and of school libraries within the compulsory school?s teaching of Swedish of form 6-9. The questions to be answered are:? What part do Swedish language teachers (hereafter called teachers) think fiction is playing regarding the pupils inclination to read and reading promotion?? What is the attitude of teachers regarding the function of fiction in the Swedish subject?? What do teachers consider being the role of the school library in education, and can this be related to the local school library resources?To answer the questions a questionnaire was sent out to thirty-five teachers. Four qualitative interviews were also carried out among the fourteen teachers that answered the questionnaire.

Analys Handelshamnen, förslag till utveckling av Handelshamnen i Karlskrona är ett examensarbete för en kandidatexamen i Fysisk Planering från Blekinge Tekniska Högskola 2008, skrivet av Jesper Borgström med Anders Törnqvist som handledare. Den 5 december 1679 togs det officiella beslutet att grunda staden Karlskrona och örlogsbasen. 1998 upptogs Karlskrona på UNESCO:s världsarvslista med motivationen: ?Karlskrona är ett utomordentligt väl bevarat exempel på en planerad europeisk örlogsstad, som influerats av äldre anläggningar i andra länder. Karlskrona har i sin tur tjänat som förebild för efterföljande städer med liknande uppgifter.? Handelshamnen är en utfyllnad, området fanns inte med i Karlskronas ursprungliga stadsplan utan har tillkommit senare.

Sammanfattningsvis kan man säga att denna undersökning har behandlat lärarens roller idag. Det vi har kommit fram till genom kvalitativa intervjuer, har blivit en central del i vår analys om hur lärare ser på sin roll idag. För att komma fram till detta resultat har vi fått gå tillbaka till skolans historia och använt oss av relevant forskning kring ämnet idag. Historiskt sett har läraren haft en central roll i samhället som kunskapsförmedlare men har ändrats till ett allt mer komplexet yrke, där ständig övervakning och styrning bidrar till lärarens utsatta roll. Detta bidrar till att lärarens rättigheter inte är tillgodosedda.

In 2022, Russia completed its full-scale invasion of Ukraine. The EU responded with powerful restrictive measures against Russia to demonstrate its unified support for Ukraine, indicating that the perception of Russia as an external threat to the EU, particularly in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), has become increasingly evident following the invasion. Drawing on theory and previous research suggesting that external threats strengthen group identities, I argue that Russia is perceived as an external threat to EU identity in CEE after Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Stephan and Stephan's integrated threat theory considers an external threat as either realistic, posing a threat to the ingroup's existence, or symbolic, posing a threat to the ingroup's worldview. The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between EU identity and the perception of Russia as a group threat to the EU among individuals in CEE based on the nature of the group threat: realistic and symbolic.

This report is the result of a thesis conducted at the consulting firm Bjerking AB andis the final part of the Bachelor Programme in Construction Engineering at Universityof Uppsala. The work aims to investigate the costs and how the choice of ventilationsystem affects building projects during a long-term period. This report covers costssuch as investment, maintenance and energy but also how they affect residents andbuilders. Building regulations for energy consumption are expected to be tougher;therefore a comparison of two different heat recovery ventilation systems(HRV-system) was made. One system is based on a centrally placed unit that coversthe whole buildings ventilation through vertical shafts.

This study will identify the environmental impact in terms of carbon dioxide for a boiler house on behalf of Kvänum energi. The boiler central consists of a main building, which in turn contains multiple components such as boilers, pipes, etc, the boiler central uses pellets fuel. It also includes a silo and an ash container. The total weight of the boiler is about 63 tons. Each boiler has an output of 600 kW; the central includes three boilers with room for a fourth if necessary.

Few issues raise such an engagement as parking areas, both by the municipality, property- and car owners. For car owners, it is of great importance where to park his car. Parking is not simply about availability but also about safety, security and how it affects the urban environment.When the land will be utilized for building development, there are regulations in Chapter 8, § 9 PBL how parking will be provided. Property owners have an obligation to provide parking space and it shall be arranged in an equitable manner, on the site or near it, which gives an opportunity for shared parking facilities. The guidelines for parking that the municipality has adopted should be the starting point for the extent of that space for parking is required when a building permit review.The first thing you should look at, is if the property owner has ability to provide parking space at his own property, but this is not always the best solution in areas such as inner cities.

Parkeringsplatser och parkeringsgarage i städer har mycket intressant funktion för stadsplaneringen på grund av hur de påverkar tillgänglighet, miljö och konkurrens om markyta. Planeringen av dessa anläggningar måste ses som både komplexa och ibland problematiska av en mängd skäl kopplat till hur de påverkar ovan nämnda faktorer. Parkering är dessutom tätt förknippat med boende på grund av att det måste anläggas parkeringsplatser i anslutning till bostäder vilket också är i enlighet med plan- och bygg lagen 4:13. Syftet med denna studie är att genomföra en kostnadsnyttoanalys för anläggandet av Rådhusgaraget. Detta innebär att denna uppsats kommer att undersöka om den aggregerade nyttan överstiger kostnaderna för projektet. Syftet är att visa komplexiteten i beslutsfattande och i investeringsanalyser, i synnerhet när det gäller projekt som påverkar miljön. Resultaten visar att projektet är framgångsrikt i den meningen att nyttan överstiger kostnaderna men den visar också att denna typ av analys är väldigt känslig när det gäller antaganden kring reell prissättning.

In the process of globalization, identity has become one of the central factors.An understanding of the difference that makes up our society has made thequestion of weather is it possible to envision a society where difference is thecommon ground, one that has been up for contest. To answer this we need to seeif this kind of democracy is possible at all. For this I?m turning to the socialmovments who while they are working close to the reality also can give us somereal answers. Therefore I have looked at how social movements adress identity,difference and conflict and concluded that three things are crucial in organizing ongrounds of difference.

AbstractThe aim of this study is to find out how the central content of the compulsory school curriculum (Lgr11) is handled in three teacher?s manuals for instruction in reading and writing for grade 1, and how these consider interaction and variation in learning how to read and write. Through a qualitative analysis with a hermeneutic approach, the three teacher?s manuals in Swedish for grade 1 were subjected to a close reading. The result shows that parts of the central content of the curriculum are considered, but that it is by studying exercises and texts that these become visible.
