Skillnader i konsumentbeteende mellan försäljningskanaler

In todays' society e-commerce is growing at a rapid speed. 4,6 % of all retail sales on the Swedish market are done on the Internet. In the makeup category, which will be the category of focus in this study, 9 % of all the sales were done on the Internet during the last quarter of 2011. As it is today many suppliers do not have enough knowledge about e-commerce and instead of focusing on the development of the channel the focus should instead be on the development of the users of the channel.The purpose of this study is to understand the buying process with respect to the existing theories. The focus will be on the two stages information search and evaluation of alternatives.

Scarcity due to supply, demand or in time is all factors that affect consumers´buying behavior. The scarcity principle describes how scarce resources appear moreattractive to the customer's eyes than unlimited does. When something is scar thecustomer often draws parallels to the quality and price, that the product will bemore expensive and better. People hate to be deprived of choices. When a certainproduct is scar, the customer will desire the product even more.

Organisationer gör ofta stora investeringar i sina anställda. Att de frivilligt väljer att säga upp sig orsakar därför stora kostnader. Kunskap om vad som påverkar intention till uppsägning kan möjliggöra riktade insatser för att förhindra uppsägningar. Med syftet att undersöka vad som kan påverka intention till uppsägning skickades enkäter ut till anställda inom ett redovisningsföretag i Sverige under 2008 och 2009. Till studien kunde 403 personers svar användas.

Intentionen till generositet - Hur den påverkas av gener, hormoner och religiositet

Many studies have pointed out that generosity depends on different things like gender, age and nationality. We wanted to see if predetermined factors like genetics also had an effect on the intention of generosity. There is a ratio between the index finger (2D) and ring finger (4D) that is determined by the levels of testosterone in the amniotic fluid and that have had some significant effect on personality attributes like musical and leadership skills. We wanted to see if that ratio had any effect on the intention of generosity. We experimentally examined a group of priest student and two groups of young handball players and let the groups answer a survey that included a sort of dictator game and we photo copied their hands to get their 2D:4D-ratio.

The Net Promoter Score (NPS) has been claimed to be the single most reliable indicator of firm growth and has gained wide adoption among companies in a broad range of industries. This is despite a lack of rigorous scientific testing. The purpose of this study is to examine the predictive strength of the question "How likely are you to recommend [.] to your friends and colleagues " that the metric is based on: how well does it actually predict future consumer behavior Furthermore, the report aims to create a greater understanding of the factors that explain a person's word of mouth (WOM) intention and which behaviours cause that intention to change. A longitudinal study was conducted of 304 consumers' WOM intention regarding two non-carbonated drinks and their subsequent WOM and purchase behavior. The analyses show that the behaviors are captured by the metric to some extent.

Varumärkesvänner och relationsreklam - En kvantitativ studie av medarbetarkommunikation på Facebook

Marketers of today are confronted by the fact that it is increasingly difficult to gain the customer's attention, as they first have to break through the ad clutter. In a landscape where the general attitude towards advertising is negative, one way to successfully deliver the message to the customer involves communicating through personal impact. By using stimuli containing identical information with different senders, this thesis seeks to quantitatively explore whether brands can make use of the personal networks of its employees, in their social media marketing strategy. The purpose of the study is to investigate if communication via the employees could enhance traditional communication effects, such as Buying intention and electronic WOM intention. Furthermore, the study aims to examine which role the employee should hold when communicating on behalf of the brand, and if the communication effects vary with the degree of product involvement.

Turnover Intention. Orsaksfaktorer för intention till egen uppsägning inom vården och snabbmatbranschen.

Genom att studera relationen mellan intention till uppsägning och upplevd arbetstillfredsställelse, organisationsengagemang och kommunikation söktes stöd för studien syfte, det vill säga att identifiera vilka faktorer som ligger till grund för intention till uppsägning inom vården och snabbmatbranschen. Datainsamling gjordes med hjälp av en webbenkät som skickades till deltagarna(N=48), vilka härrörde från ett äldreboende och en snabbmatskedja i Blekinge. Genom Spearmans korrelationstest och Mann-Whitney U-test analyserades den insamlade data. Resultatet visade stöd för två av studiens hypoteser gällande korrelation mellan arbetstillfredssällelse, organisationsengagemang och intention till uppsägning. Resultatet gav även delvis stöd till två av studiens hypotes vad gäller negativa korrelationer mellan anställdas arbetstider och avsaknaden av kompetensutveckling inom organisationen och avsikten att stanna kvar på sin nuvarande arbetsplats, samt signifikanta skillnader för hur anställda inom vården och snabbmatskedjan upplever organisationsengagemang och relation till ledningen.

Affecting Consumer Behaviour to Increase the Willingness to Purchase More Fruit

The purpose of this study is to examine the change in consumer behaviour regarding the intention towards buying fruit when the layout of the fruit section has been altered. We want to increase the probability of making impulse purchases by altering the layout. In our study we have combined structured quantitative observations with structured quantitative as well as qualitative interviews, with secondary data in the form of sales data from two selected ICA-stores. We chose to use this triangulated approach in order to cross-examine our findings and overcome the limitations of one method by the use of another. Further, the Latin square design was used for the observations as a means to acknowledge the calendar effect during the experiment.

Från engagemang till intention - En kvantitativ studie om sambanden mellan engagemang och konsumenters intention att använda detaljisters smartphone-applikationer

Smartphone applications, or apps, are an increasingly important part of omnichannel retailing. While the adoption and usage of apps for communicating with consumers has grown exponentially over the past few years, there is little academic research in this area. The primary purpose of this thesis is to describe how the involvement in a product category affects consumers' intention to use a retailer-branded smartphone application during their shopping trip. Drawing upon recent IS-literature with models TAM and UTAUT, our results indicate that product category involvement constitutes an important factor on the intention to use a retailer-branded smartphone application. By viewing involvement as a multidimensional construct, our study shows that the degree of hedonic and expressive value a product cateogry provides consumers with has important effects on intention, and these relationships are not moderated by consumers' age.
