In today's changing environment, an increasing number of companies are realizing thebenefits of analyzing business information and thereby stay competitive. By making use ofdecision support systems, known as Business Intelligence (BI), organizations are expected tocollect and process business data and thus get more out of their business.Nowadays it is not enough for organizations to have access to corporate data inside officewalls, they must also be able to bring the information "on the go", which has been thefoundation for the progress of mobile BI solutions. As the mobility increases and thecorporate data leaves the office, new risks arise, which is one reason as to why manycompanies hesitate at the idea of introducing mobile BI solutions.In this paper we explore two security aspects in the area of mobile BI solutions. Our researchquestion is as follows: How does security aspects affect a company's decision to acquiremobile BI solutions? The survey was conducted through interviews in cooperation with thefirm Optivasys, exclusively dedicated to the BI solution QlikView.A significant part of the theory we studied describes security as critical; however, ourresearch suggests a solution on how companies can manage the security aspects.

Under de senaste åren har det blivit allt vanligare att fastighetsägare outsourcar fastighetsförvaltningen, i stället för att bedriva den med egna resurser. Det talas om att outsourcing tillåter en mer flexibel organisation som möjliggör högre servicekvalitet till hyresgästerna. Samtidigt lyfts risken i att tappa kontakten med hyresgästerna och insynen i fastigheten fram som en av fördelarna med att bedriva fastighetsförvaltningen med egna resurser.Syftet med den här undersökningen var att undersöka hur servicekvaliteten i fastighetsskötseln kan påverkas av fastighetsägarens val av förvaltningsform. Genom att jämföra servicekvaliteten när den bedrivs med egna resurser och när den bedrivs outsourcad ville jag kunna peka på de för- och nackdelar som kännetecknar de olika förvaltningsformerna.Studien genomfördes i form av en jämförande fallstudie, och enligt kvantitativ metodik. De två bostadsföretag som valdes ut till studien var HFAB i Halmstad och AB Bostäder i Borås.

The purpose of this thesis was to illustrate the connection between personal networks and entrepreneurial business in the music industry. It also aims to examine how and why entrepreneurs in the music industry use personal networks in their entrepreneurial business activities. In order to explore the extent to which entrepreneurs in the music industry obtain support through personal networks, a case study was conducted based on interviews with entrepreneurs in various areas of the music industry. The study has shown that entrepreneurs in the music industry clearly see distinct advantages through the use of their personal networks, especially in terms of an enhanced supply of resources and through an increased amount of business opportunities. Personal networks have also shown to constitute a considerable amount of moral support for the entrepreneurs in the development process of the entrepreneurial business.

ABSTRACT System development has become more and more concentrated on development for the Web and this has resulted in larger target groups. It will most surely continue to be so considering that the Web will be the infrastructure of business and services in the future. A big target group involves that the owner of a system can earn a lot of money from the paying users, but that assumes that the system can meet user needs. If a system on the Web does not satisfy the user?s demands then they will use the competitor?s system instead because it is only a mouse-click away.

With an IT outsourcing project there are many factors affecting how efficiency andquality develop in the outsourced activity. The Purpose of this study is to identifythese factors through a case study in a global company that is dissatisfied with theefficiency and quality of their outsourced helpdesk. For data collection methodsinterviews and observations were used. Interviews were conducted with people fromdifferent parts of the company in three different countries, all somehow involved inthe outsourced system. The observations were made with the outsourced company tosee how the employees work and fill information gaps that the interviews could notcover.

The purpose with this essay is to enlighten the small business´ existence at times of expansion, identify threats and possibilities and also to try to find ways to encourage growth in the small business.To answer our purpose we carried out a literature study to later implement six interviews with small business leaders. We separated the companies into three categories; small business without employees, small business with 2-5 employees and small business with 6-10 employees.We confirm that the main reason why small business leaders think both once and twice before hireing new labour force are because of the high costs. The change in government has so far not given the small business what was promised, but there is still hope for improvement and simplification.The economic part of owning a company has been pointed out as the greatest threat in relation with expansion and the big responsibility in another persons possibilities to earn his/her living is also burdensome. Syftet med den här uppsatsen är att öka förståelsen och beskriva hur små svenska företag som har offshore outsourcat sin produktion till tillväxtmarknader hanterar relationen med leverantören. Vi har i denna uppsats använt oss av en kvalitativ metod och genomfört en flerfallsstudie på tre stycken mindre svenska företag.   Teoretiska referensramen är främst inriktad på två teoretiska områden; offshore outsourcing och relationer. Dessa har vidare delats in i tre huvudblock för att ge en så lättöverskådlig bild som möjligt samt att täcka in de väsentliga delarna som krävs för att besvara syftet. De tre huvudblocken är följande; relationsetablering, relationsstyrning och relationskoordinering. Den teoretiska referensramen har sedan sammanställts i en teoretisk syntes som analytiskt sammankopplar teorin och ligger till grund för analysen.

Bakgrund & Problem: Globaliseringens framväxt har bidragit med ett omvärldstryck vilket tvingat branscher, främst inom bil- och elektronikindustrin, att omstrukturera sin verksamhet och satsa  på  sin   kärnverksamhet  för  att  nå  konkurrensfördelar.  Genom  att  automatisera  och systematisera produktionen kunde företagen sänka sina produktionskostnader. Det bidrog till att företagen började se de administrativa servicefunktionerna inom företaget som en börda, eftersom de inte bidrog till kundnyttan. Behovet att reducera kostnaderna och öka flexibiliteten bidrog till att företagen började överlåta icke-värdeskapande aktiviteter till underleverantörer. Syfte: Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka och analysera de bakomliggande anledningarna till varför tillverkningsföretag väljer att outsourca hela eller delar av ekonomifunktionen. Vidare är syftet att analysera hur tillverkningsföretagen behåller kontrollen inom företaget vid tillämpning av outsourcing på ekonomifunktionen. Metod:  Vi  har  använt  oss  av  en  kvalitativ  studie  för  analysen  och  valt  att  intervjua  tre tillverkningsföretag som valt att outsourca ekonomifunktionen, två som inte tillämpar outsourcing på ekonomifunktionen, samt två revisionsbyråer som har en djupare inblick i outsourcingbranschen.

AbstractNowadays, companies and organizations manage large amounts of data to be used as support in decision making. A good solution for data management is in the form of data warehouses. A data warehouse is used to gather information from multiple sources within a company and arrange the information in a way that makes it easy to retrieve and analyze. Designing a data warehouse is not a simple task. The study herein will focus on what a data warehouse is and how the ETL process is used for data storage in the data warehouse. ETL stands for Extract, Transform and Load and is the process that retrieves data, transforms it and finally loads it into the data warehouse.

Bakgrund: Denna uppsats är skriven på uppdrag från Coor AB. Uppdragsgivaren är intresserad av att veta varför vissa företag väljer att outsourca medan andra väljer att bedriva Facility Management-enheten i egen regi. Outsourcad Facility Management ökar i Sverige, men vad är det egentligen som skiljer företag som väljer att outsourca från de företag som inte gör det?Syfte: Syftet med studien är att via intervjuer identifiera och utifrån vald teori analysera vilka strategiska faktorer som påverkar företagens beslut kring outsourcing av Facility Management-funktionen.Genomförande: Denna studie är intervjubaserad och omfattar sju intervjuer med operativa chefer från olika företag som antingen outsourcar eller bedriver Facility Management-tjänsterna i egen regi.Resultat: Studiens resultat påvisar att det är strategiskt klokt att köpa en tjänst av en extern leverantör om en extern leverantör utför tjänsten bättre och billigare än företaget själva, vilket indikerar att ekonomi är en strategisk faktor som påverkar ett outsourcingbeslut. Det visade sig även att det är hur föränderliga företagets produkter är, var företaget befinner sig i förädlingskedjan och hur stor del av förädlingskedjan som företaget verkar inom som avgör vilka strategiska faktorer som spelar in.

I have used theoretical framework to establish a process flow analysis. This is to obtain data on process activities and whether they are creating value or not. This leads to a current mapping of the situation in Secoroc on DTH-pipes and then analyzed and suggestions for improvement are developed.Conclusions: That by using the above mentioned mapping of process flow of DTH-pipes, problem areas could be illustrated.
