Detta arbete är ett examensarbete där en applikation för administration av utskick till studenter utvecklats. Syftet med arbetet är att förenkla arbetet för en lärare på Mittuniversitetet. Applikationen är skriven i Java och ramverket JavaServer Faces för att få applikationen tillgängligt i ett webbgränssnitt. Information om studenter och kurser läses in från textfiler och sparas i en databas. Användaren kan med hjälp av den inlästa och sparade informationen sortera ut efterfrågade studenter med dessa kriterier: olika kursinstanser, terminer, om studenterna är registrerade eller ej samt vilka utskick som sparats.

The 1990s were one of the most profitable periods for European airline companies, mainly because of development of world economy and increasing globalisation trends. However, towards the end of the decade, a global economic downturn, high oil prices and new forms of competition turned the industry towards troubled times. The European air-travel industry had to face and accept the new airline business concept, called low-cost or no-frill airlines. In these conditions, traditional airlines had to rethink their strategies and question the old business model. As a response to the competition, European traditional full-service airlines formed alliances or networks to expand the route network and to increase efficiency.

Denna Kandidatuppsats intresserar sig för humankapitalets roll i svenska industriföretagens årsrapporter åren 2007 och 2011. Ämnesvalet grundar sig i faktumet att tidigare forskning kring humankapital fokuserat på tjänsteföretag, trots att vi idag lever i ett kunskapssamhälle där humankapitalets betydelse borde vara av relevans även inom verkstadsindustrin eftersom även industrin kräver alltfler högutbildade medarbetare. Uppsatsen analyserar de så kallade Konradvariablerna, det vill säga nyckeltalsmätning av humankapital. Konradvariablernas utveckling undersöks samt jämförs med kontrollvariabeln produktivitet. Resultatet visar att redovisningen av icke obligatoriska Konradvariabler har minskat mellan de två undersökningsåren, 25 % av de 16 undersökta Konradvariablerna redovisades år 2007 mot 20 % år 2011. Vidare påvisas ett starkt samband mellan förändringen av produktivitet och förändringen av de två Konradvariablerna vinst per anställd och förädlingsvärde per anställd hos de enskilda undersökningsobjekten.

The industrialization of construction is increasing in Sweden which leads to higher demands of prefabricated components and cells. But what does the business of construction think of the industrialized business and what can be done in order to decrease faults and errors with these products? Today we have many manufacturers who have different technical solutions which might lead to difficulties when assembling components and cells at the building site. But by trying to make a more opened market, with possibly standardized connections details and improving the communication between the different participants, the prefabricated components and cells can be made and assembled with less errors. This is something that needs to be done in order to establish a more secure business, and especially when working with new companies and methods, when using industrialized products..

We waned to present a possible solution or new template for business plan called Market value plan..

This paper covers a study of the Swedish charging market for electric vehicles from both the perspective of stakeholders and car owners. By interviewing representatives of four key stakeholders on the market; commercial parkings, malls, service stations and working places, data regarding their business models of today is examined. At present electricity is provided for free, but all stakeholder point out that this business model is not sustainable in the long run. The result of the interviews shows that electricity won?t be offered for free in the future ? the question is which factors affect how long it will take for the different stakeholders to find a suitable business model.

Background: The starting point of the thesis is the growing importance of negotiations that serve to establish a relationship between the parties involved as companies? business activities are getting more complex. Purpose: The purpose of the thesis is to find and to analyze which elements are of importance for parties, when creating a successful negotiation with regard to building long-term relationships, and if those elements differ for sales and procurement negotiations in companies with business activities of various kinds. Research method: The study was realized with the help of twelve qualitative interviews. Result: The elements of importance when creating a successful negotiation with regard to building long-term relationships were mainly elements of co-operation and to some extent elements of competition.

Namely, to improve the material management so that this enables the bottleneck in the planing mill to keep a continuous  flow, and thereby minimizing the risk for production stops at LB-Hus.  Part.  1:  Identify  and  analyze the material management  connected to  the planing mill  in order to identify problem areas.Part.2:  Identify  improvement potential  in the material management connected to the planing mill.  Part.3: Suggest improvements in the material management connected to the planing mill. Theoretical framework: Process mapping, inventory accounting, balance safety, inventory availability / service levels, safety stock and reorder point, forecasting and routine descriptions.Empirical foundation:  Interviews carried out at LB-House,  illustrated with the help of process maps and a description of each process.  Conclusions:  To work with  the  suggestions  given  and  to  follow  clear procedures  in  all  processes would  result in  a more  efficient  inventory management,  it would also present  a  solution  to  the problem regarding the planing mill being a bottle neck.Suggestions for further research: Review and map the information flow from demand to production start.

The goal with this essay is to investigate problems in processes of a government agency andthereby determine whether a Business Process Reengineering can create a more effectiveworkflow. The foundation of this essay lies in how customers perceive its business processesas reported from Internet forums. By adopting a qualitative approach, this is supplemented bythe statements and reports from the public business. The qualitative method that has been usedin this study is a content analysis of the threads from two major Internet forums that highlightthe problems associated with the examination of firearms licensing and the routine that exists.The method also gave us the opportunity to study the public business own view of theirprocesses. This was done by exploring their statements in media and their own reports aboutthis area.This essay is the result of a case-based study and during the course of the study we haveidentified five themes related to; time, management, communication, competence, andregulations.

In the information society of today, the characteristics of the information changes both in size and complexity. This results in higher demands on which storage solution that suits the company and their field of business. New and more innovating storage solutions enters the market, but are they necessary to smaller companies of development active in the IT society? Questions to Answer: Is data storage a growing problem for companies of development active in the IT society? How do traditional storage solutions manage the information growth of today? How urgent is the need of a new storage solution? Which features are prioritized in the future storage solution? Method: By performing a quantitative survey we delivered an inquiry to several companies, which answers will help us answering our above mentioned questions. Methodology: Meta-analysis on previous theoretical and empirical research. Our emphasis in this paper has been put on the qualitative aspects of the previous research unlike many other conventional meta-analyses that focus on the comparison of the empirical data. Theoretical perspectives: Five main models have been developed by earlier studies to describe the relationship between internationalization and performance: positive linear, no or ambiguous relation, inverted U-shaped, standard U-shaped and S-shaped curve.

There is a lot going on in the construction business right now. It feels like everywhere you turn there is a building sight. Furthermore the business is heading a generation change and the need of recruiting new construction engineers is huge. How is the business going to handle the transition that they are facing? The question has been in progress for at while and I wanted to find out what the current students feel about taking the step into the working life and replace the veterans.A research is made about student?s opinion about their education and future work life.

Background: Testosterone is the most important androgenic hormone in the male. Aging is closely associated with reduction of serum testosterone which can lead to reduced muscle mass, muscle strength, bone density, and depression. These symptoms may be counteracted by administration of testosterone. Objective: The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of hormone replacement in men with age-related testosterone deficiency. Method: We performed a systematic review using Randomised Controlled Trials (RCT).

Vår slutsats är att ekonomisk brottslighet som begås av anställda, det vill säga individuell yrkesbaserad brottslighet, inte förebyggs med hjälp av interna kontroller, definierade av COSO. Syftet med vår uppsats är att förklara hur företag, med hjälp av den interna kontrollen förebygger individuell yrkesbaserad brottslighet. De visade sig att 40 % av de tillfrågade respondenterna varit utsatta för individuell yrkesbaserad brottslighet. Uppsatsen baseras på surveymetoden och undersökningen genomfördes med enkäter. Vi har valt tre teorier som grund för vår undersökning vilka är; situationell brottsprevention, rutinaktivitetsteorin och agentteorin. Utifrån dessa teorier och COSO-modellen vill vi förklara hur förebyggande åtgärder kan förhindra individuell yrkesbaserad brottslighet. Vidare formulerades hypoteser som vi avser att testa.
