Background Participation in the community is vital to mental health and is beneficial to individuals and society. Many studies discuss this issue in relation to the disabled, and this study investigates this further. The goal of this survey, performed in Göteborg, Sweden, is to study issues relating to the participation of people with physical disabilities, according to their own perceptions and experiences on this issue. Method Qualitative methodology was used to explore experiences of participation in twenty physically disabled adults by means of semi structured personal interviews. Results From a social constructionist view, disability is explained in terms of being socially constructed.

The aim of this essay was to examine how the decision-making in LVU cases are motivated in the judicial decisions. How has the principle of whats in the best interest of the child been noticeable in these judicial decisions and how are the child's needs and the consequences for the child of the drug abuse been described? When the parents have been judged to have given a non acceptable consent, how have they been described and how has the parents described the situation?Our research is of a qualitative nature, a document analysis of judicial decisions in LVU cases. We analyzed eight court cases containing decisions from County Court, Fiscal Court of Appeal and The Supreme Administrative Court.Our results showed that parents were described in the judicial argumentation as negative stereotypes and a picture of unreliability were created. What was best for the child were not expressed in words but woven into the children's needs and in most cases the consequences of the abuse of drugs were not made clear..

Convention on the Rights of the Child in year 1990, Sweden as a country undertakes itself to always see to the child´s greatest in all decision-making process concerning the child and also vouch for that the rights stated in the convention are beeing fulfild.Working with the convention in a such way that it's intention becomes reality in educational activities requires instruments for the pedagogues. During the years between 1980 and 1990 a number of different methods and programmes were developed with staring-points in the interplay between the child and the adult.

Preferences are necessarily ambiguous and unstable. Today Holmen Skog finds and selects suitable thinning stands using data on upper height and basal area. These figures are often based on basic forest data that has been updated with the help of growth prediction models. The problem is that these figures are not always correct. The aim of this study was to investigate if a combination of data from a profiling laser and a digital camera for low elevation photography, can be used for collecting data on number of stems per ha, tree species mixture as well as basal area weighted mean height and upper height for stands. The possibility to use these data to assess the need for thinning cutting was also investigated.Laser data and aerial photographs were collected from a helicopter operating at an approximate height of 100 meters.

The aim of this study is to describe and understand how nontraditional student experiences drop out from higher education.

In 2008 the National Library of Sweden decided to give upClassification system for Swedish libraries and start using DDC(Dewey Decimal Classification) from January 1 2011. Thisdecision has influenced the whole Swedish library system and longbefore the National Library of Sweden took this decision thequestion had been thoroughly discussed and debated in Librariancircles.The aim of this thesis is to find out which arguments have beenintroduced in the debate, if the discussion has changed from beforethe decision to go over to DDC was taken to after wards, and if sohow it has changed. My thesis will discuss the following threequestions:? Which arguments were brought forward in the debate,both for and against a transition?? How has the debate about the Swedish libraries?transition from Classification system for Swedishlibraries to DDC changed from before the decision ofthe Royal Library was taken to after?? What conclusions can you draw from the debatewhich has been led about the transition to DDC?The empirical material consists of six articles dealing with thetransition to DDC and in the analysis of this material I have used atext analyses, analysis of. The analysis shows that more or less thesame arguments for and against have been used in practically allthe articles, and the debate has not changed very much.

The company is today strongly decent­ralized and there is a minimum of collaboration between the 20 business units. This is why the questions were raised; how could the business units coordinate outbound logistic activities and what effects would that provide. The purpose of this Master's thesis is to examine the decision-process concerning public art in Borås municipality. My questions have been from where the initiatives come, who the decision-makers are, how the decisions are taken and which questions are discussed. I have examined this through partly interviews with the members of the deciding organ in Borås municipality, partly through literary studies. I have also analysed texts such as debates and protocols from the Swedish parliament. I have also been present at two of the committees meetings.
