This thesis was written during the autumn 2007. I wanted to understand the situation of the contemporary architecture in a perspective broader than merely the Swedish. I asked myself what remained of architecture if one would eliminate purely functional, aesthetical and ecological aspects. With help from literature I interviewed theorists in architecture, practitioners and a philosopher to hear their thoughts regarding what architecture can or should be about. The result of the interviews and the literature studies constitute the two initial parts of the thesis.

The aim of this report is to investigate how the work handling at the department for arriving goods at EFG in Tranås is working, as well as how it could be improved and made more effective. EFG is a corporation who process and sell office furniture. The company is working with a project concerning delivery precision, the subject is therefore particularly interesting from the perspective of delivery accuracy. The number of orders has increased notably during the fall of 2005 and the spring of 2006. This has led to new demands at the department for arriving goods and the topic is as a result of that important also from this point of view.Interviews and investigations have been conducted at location since no written material earlier has been made in the topic.

Vid kreditaffärer mellan bank och företag stöter banken på risker. Riskerna kan ges uttryck i problem som att företaget undanhåller sina möjligheter att klara av återbetalningen av lånet och/eller har mål eller en inställning till risk som skiljer sig mot bankens mål och inställning till risk. Dessa problem är svårast för banken att analysera vid kreditaffärer med små företag beroende på större informationsasymmetri och företagsledarens nyckelroll. För att reducera risken för att dessa problem ska uppkomma kan banken ta hjälp av verktyg som förmår företaget att agera i bankens intresse under kreditaffären. I denna studie frågar vi oss hur svenska banker, under kreditengagemanget, använder sig av de verktyg som kan förmå små företag att agera i bankens intresse.

De senaste årens massmediala kritik mot bankernas placeringsrådgivning har tillsammans med ökande kundklagomål fått lagstiftaren att utreda om en konsumentskyddande lag, som skulle klargöra gränserna för bankernas ansvar, ska införas under år 2004. Finansinspektionen började emellertid ställa krav på dokumentation och licensiering redan under år 2003. Genom interna riktlinjer försöker bankerna styra rådgivningen mot en för dem önskvärd kvalitetsnivå, vilket på grund av reglerna också måste innefatta uppfyllandet av samhällets krav. Uppsatsens syfte var att utreda om fullservicebankernas styrning av placeringsrådgivningen till privatkunder är utformad för att säkerställa tjänstekvalitet. Den teoretiska referensramen bygger på tanken att bankerna från central nivå försöker att styra den konkreta rådgivningssituationen och att ett antal faktorer kommer att påverka kvaliteten.

I en bank måste en kreditbedömning utföras innan ett kreditbeslut kan fattas. Utfallet beror då på om kreditbedömaren har tillräcklig information om företaget och hur pålitlig denna information är. När kreditgivare söker och tolkar information om det kreditsökande företaget använder de sig utav flera källor där kreditgivarens sociala nätverk är en utav dessa källor.  Syftet med denna uppsats är att förklara och analysera om kreditbedömarens sociala nätverk påverkar kreditbeslutet beträffande utlåning till små och medelstora företag, genom en kvalitativ undersökning. Studien består av tre personliga intervjuer som har utförts på Handelsbankens kontor i Höganäs, Varberg och Ängelholm.

The project description is to draw an extension or annex to the existing Nationalmuseum building from 1866.The annex is designed to complement Nationalmusems activities and contain internal and public functions. Artentering the building must not be crossed by public visitors. Art and staff must be able to seamlessly move betweenthe extension and the main building. The new building includes a public study room for scholars working withthe collection of art on paper, workshops, conservation studios, art spaces and warehouses. This study was a result and an attempt to address thisunsatisfactory insight.

The goal for this thesis work was to develop Business Intelligence (BI) for an IT consultant company.LexiConsult is an IT consultant company in the Lexicon-group which offers expertise within Office (templates, database, spreadsheets, Outlook etc.) but also SharePoint development and services like support, documentation etcetera.We have investigated the functionality in SharePoint and MS SQL Server and have also evaluated which possibilities these platforms offer in terms of creating a BI-solution for LexiConsults needs. SharePoint offers a variety of different tools and services for BI but none of these where available in the Office365-version which LexiConsult uses. Another solution was therefore suggested where the reports should be published on a web hosting company.We have also studied critical success factors when implementing BI in an IT consulting company.The result is a set of BI-reports developed for SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), which the staff of LexiConsult can access via their SharePoint site.The reports are designed for monitoring and analysis of the economy with e.g. key performance indicators, drill-down of the revenue in different aspects such as by time period, per employee, per customer etcetera. ABSTRACT This research explores how the Work Integration Center (AIC) supports unemployed immigrants in acquiring jobs and how the practical work helps immigrants in entering the labour market. It employs qualitative research approach through semi-structured interviews staff members at AIC and municipal commissioners of education and labour market in the municipality of Malmö. Its aim is to examine how governmental setup guidelines were represented in the practical work. These guiding principles of the organization are presented at the top of municipality. The findings suggest that even if the staff has no knowledge of the official measures of the integration plans, they have implemented the aims and criteria in their work with the immigrants.

This examination work is performed at the institution of industrial economy and production at Jonkoping technical university, for JELD-WEN Door Solutions plant in Forserum.Today the focus in the company is on to reduce their inventories binding of capitals as well as inventory of products and that includes to get a good control of the supply and handling of material which is of great importance.JELD-WEN Door Solutions is one of the worlds leading producers of windows and doors and the head-office is located in Oregon, USA.A great number of wooden doors are manufactured by the company in varying of constructions, classifications and performance.The production of the plant in Forserum has a project- and customer focus manufacturing where only internal doors are produced. The overall market they are concentrated on is to different institution such as schools, hospitals etc.The purpose of this work is to investigate possibilities to improvement of material- and production control at JELD-WEN. The report will handle the master production schedule to and from the production divisions within manufacturing industry. Focus will be on the way for information- and material flows from arrival, transport within the company and further on to customers.Further a map of the flow was performed which gave a clearer picture of the connection between the flow of information- and material for the manufacturing process. On the basis of the mapping of the flow, the group discovered that the flow of material had some improvement potential.

För handels- och kommanditbolag krävs inte alltid revision. Det finns dock företag som väljer att använda sig av revision eller revisor trots att det inte behövs. Vårt syfte med denna uppsats var att identifiera motiv för och emot användandet av revision som tjänst och revisorn som person i små handels- och kommanditbolag som inte är revisionspliktiga. Vi valde att göra en telefonenkät med 36% av de aktiva handels- och kommanditbolag i Skellefteå stad. Vi utförde även personliga intervjuer med tre företag som antingen använde sig av revision, revisor eller inget av dem.

Acquiring a former station building can mean that the property owners must familiarize themselves with a lot of planning and building regulations. After the new Planning and Building Act code into force in 2011, the responsibility lie on the developer to ensure laws and regulations. Based on the regulatory framework that is available occurs sometimes balance issues, between care requirements and building codes. The station building in Ormaryd was acquired in 2009 by two individuals who intended to accommodate office and retail space in the building. In doing so a new local plan of the area was established, including regulations on how the building could be used. By including road safety and noise, the risk was not considered appropriate to use the station building for housing.
