Forest enterprises have always searched for ways to improve efficiency. For the past few years there has been an emphasis on stock-keeping levels. Increased demand for fresh round timber and the need to decrease the amount of tied-up capital has made the forest industry reduce its inventory levels. This has brought on a higher demand on the timber supply from the forest management districts concerning both delivery in time and assortment output. As a result, the flow of timber has fluctuated a lot with serious consequence for the timber supply during 1994.

Our report procedure identification of instability and disturbance in an automatic manufacturing line of processing and assembling of chair sliding rails at Sapas manufacturing department in Vetlanda.To obtain a stabile ground we have mapped the material flow to receive a comprehensive view and to visualise connections.We have examined cycle times at different stations in purpose to identificate bottlenecks. The result of our examination showed that the bottleneck of the line was the brush station. This leads to that the expected bottlenecks identificated by Sapa gets a delay time and by that a longer cycle time.Interruptions has a clear negative influence at the line performance so we have also assemble data through the operators report list and compiled these in order to find out the interruptions effect on the line. The outcome during our assembled period was that the reported interruptions corresponded about 30 percent of the total available production time. This has a clear negative effect on the line productivity and efficiency as we have calculated in order to get the present status..

There are no general working processes that can stand for how all the investment process is preceded in the organization of major Swedish banks. It is not a question of investment process but rather a question of, investment processes. How these investment processes operates depends totally on the type and size of the current investment, which unit that is operating the processes and what situation the bank currently finds itself in. There is a written form that describes how the different processes should be operated and which capital budget models that should be used but the usage of these forms can be questioned.

The break up of the family unit leads to new living arrangements and significant changes for children. This can be an extremely upsetting experience for a child, especially if the child is old enough to understand what is happening. New living arrangements can effect a childs fundamental sense of security as well as having consequences later on in life. The object of this research paper was to examine how a group of seven people (children from split families who are now adults), interpreted and described their childhood in relation to the living arrangements they grew up with after the breakdown of the family unit. The main question areas we have examined are: How have the interviewee's living arrangements during childhood affected their understanding of themselves today? In what way has the adult's present day lifestyle been influenced by the split up of the family that they grew up with - using their own words? How do the children from split families describe and interpret concepts such as family and marriage, based on their own experiences? Our research was conducted with the help of seven people from split families who are now adults and who experienced different types of split family arrangements as a child ? permanent residence with mother/father or alternate living with both parents.

Abstract:This thesis work has been conducted at the Real Estate Department in Halmstad.The department consists of a construction/project management-unit and an operation/management-unit.Like many other towns in Sweden, Halmstad has had a long lasting problem with indoor environment. Not at least at their preschools.Today they are constructing from current building regulations. They have learned from negative experiences which have occurred in the indoor environment in older buildings.Focus is now on healthy materials, like low emission value, energy efficiency and optimization of the building, but still with soft parameters such as cleaning, interior and choice of materials.The fixtures is provides by the real estate department and the furnishings are provides by the children and youth administration. Together they are trying to provide a great indoor environment.I have, together with the real estate department and the children and youth administration of Halmstad, investigated how to provide a good indoor environment in the preschools with small funds.In my thesis there is one theoretical part with a questionnaire survey of how the preschool staff is experiencing their indoor environment to determine where the problems often start. And a practical part with measurements to try and come down to a result that analysis the cause of the problems and also to make sure that the ventilation systems are fulfilling projected values.The measurements and the questionnaire surveys was made at Lokes preschool in Frösakull, Askens preschool in Oskarström and Gullbrandstorps preschool.There were some differences between the staff-responses at the three different preschools.At Askens preschool they feel that the premises are cleaned poorly.At Gullbrandstorps preschool they feel that the indoor-air is bad because they can´t open the windows.

Det här examensarbetet behandlar tillverkningsmetoden sprutprägling och utvecklandet av en automatiserad produktionscell vid Trelleborg Skega i Ersmark. Under 2005 har behovet av en ny tillverkningsmetod, sprutprägling vuxit fram. Eftersom det är en kostsam metod kommer den endast att användas för vissa applikationer där det ställs extremt höga krav på ytfinhet och hållfasthet. Efter tillverkning genom sprutprägling sitter detaljerna fast i en så kallad sprutpräglingsplatta från vilken de måste separeras. Detta sker vanligtvis genom stansning.

Självscanning introducerades i butiker för ett antal år sedan och finns nu i butiker som Ica Maxi och Coop Forum. Investeringskostnaden för ett sådant system är dock hög och butiker med lägre omsättning har därmed inte råd att köpa in detta system. Detta projekt syftade till att utveckla ett alternativ, med en applikation till Android för scanning. Tanken var att kunderna då kan använda sina mobiltelefoner som scannrar vilket skulle minska investeringskostnaden för butikerna.Genom att studera existerande system, togs en lösning bestående av två delar fram, dels applikationen men även en server med en databas för lagring av kundernas varukorgar. För testning av lösningen utvecklades även en testmiljö bestående av en prisdatabas och en kassa i form av ett datorprogram.

Målet med detta examensarbete var att skapa ett program som ska detektera kanterna på brädor med en smart senor för att optimera fräslinjerna, vilket senare kommer att leda till minskat virkesspill. Men för att detta ska gå att göra krävs det att den smarta sensorn genomgår en kalibrering för att bl.a. omvandla mätpunkter till mm. I samband med kalibreringen behöver en utgångsposition bestämmas för att kunna säkerhetsställa att fräslinjerna hamnar rätt. Programmet ska även ha ett grafiskt användargränssnitt för att underlätta ändringar av inställningar och för att kunna beskåda brädan i en topografisk bild baserad på höjddata från den smarta sensorn.

The occupational group who works in the care of older people in Sweden is an exposed group since the work is often defined as a strenuous profession, both physical and psychically, and this puts comparatively many workers on sick leave. To promote good health, as well as prevent bad health is the main purpose of the work environment development. The attitude of the care manager towards work environment development may have a significant impact on the co-workers health. The purpose of the study was to investigate the attitude of care managers towards work environment development and the co-workers work environment and in the same time get knowledge in what issues they have a salutary approach respectively a pathological approach. Empirics were gathered from semi-structured interviews with six care managers from the care of older people administration in municipality of Kalmar.

Konstruktion utav stora stadsmiljöer i 3D består, från idé till färdig scen, utav många olika processer och tekniker. Från koncept genom planering, modellering, texturering och rendering till slutresultatet. Det är därför önskvärt att minimera mängden onödigt arbete och effektivisera dessa processer där det är möjligt. Den här studien undersöker hur modularitet kan användas och implementeras i semi-automatiserade konstruktionslösningar i syftet för att användas i filmsammanhang. Kärnan utav studien utgår ifrån att en grafiker skapar diverse byggstenar för olika stadsmiljöer.

Inom vården utförs ofta schemaläggning av personal manuellt, vilket kräver mycket tid och resurser. Att planera arbetet för en grupp läkare, med dess ofta mycket komplexa sammansättning vad gäller exempelvis arbetsuppgifter och kompetenser, är ingen lätt uppgift. Detta examensarbete studerar huruvida en automatiserad taktisk bemanningsplanering med en tidshorisont på ett halvår till ett år, skulle kunna underlätta denna uppgift.I rapporten presenteras en måloptimeringsmodell som implementerats i AMPL för att med CPLEX som lösare generera förslag till bemanningsplaner. För att utveckla en matematisk modell som väl representerar de förutsättningar som råder vid bemanningsplanering av läkare har alternativa formuleringar provats och utvärderats. Den mest lovande av modellerna, som baseras på måloptimering, har i en pilotstudie testats på data från Onkologiska kliniken vid Linköpings universitetssjukhus.

I logopediskt arbete med förskolebarn med språkstörning är kunskap om hur den språkliga utvecklingen fortskrider mycket väsentlig. Är svårigheterna av övergående karaktär eller blir de bestående i något avseende? Kännedom om vilka konsekvenser språkstörning får i ett längre perspektiv och vilka språkliga faktorer som samverkar behövs bland annat för att tidigt kunna sätta in rätt åtgärder och senare tillgodose behovet av stöd i skolan. Syftet med undersökningen är att närmare beskriva hur barn med språkstörning i förskoleåldern fungerar språkligt cirka 10 år efter att deras kontakt med logopedmottagningen avslutats. För att få en bild av hur tonåringarna fungerar språkligt i vardagen, valdes att närmare studera arbetsminne, förmåga att lära in nya ord och förmåga att förstå och konstruera en berättelse samt betyg i basämnena svenska, engelska och matematik och slutligen tonåringarnas uppfattning om sin egen språkliga kompetens.I studien medverkade13 personer som haft språkstörning i förskoleåldern och lika många kontrollpersoner.
