För att kunna bli pilot i kommersiell luftfart är första steget att utbilda sig. En pilotutbildning måste föregås av en medicinsk undersökning för att garantera en tillräckligt god fysisk hälsa hos den blivande piloten. Många utbildare kräver också att en person som vill utbilda sig till pilot genomgår en psykologisk lämplighetsprövning, i syfte att få en indikation på dennes personliga förutsättningar i övrigt för en lyckad utbildning och karriär inom pilotyrket. När utbildningen är genomförd är piloten redo för att se sig om efter arbete men den senaste tidens allmänna nedgång i flygbranschen har gjort det allt svårare för piloter att få anställning. Detta arbete har syftat till att ge en inblick i bakgrunden till den typ av lämplighetsprövning som genomförs inför utbildning, hur sådana prövningar värderas av arbetsgivare i branschen samt vad som i övrigt enligt arbetsgivare avgör om en pilot är aktuell för anställning..

Most often when developing a new system there is a need get a functioning testtool up and running. Including time, cost and resources the solution isn?t always obvious, developing your own or buy one ?of the shelf?. The purpose of this thesis is to study how a general testtool for executing functional tests should be designed to be reusable, be based on recognized knowledge and be able to fast and simple be customized for different types of systems. Key functions from the litterature is presented and used in the design of a testtool prototype.

This Batchelor?s Thesis concerns 20 points at the MDA-program (People, Computers and Work) at Blekinge Institute of Technology in Ronneby, Sweden. 10 points concerns Computer Science and 10 points Human Work Science. The thesis is about the process of starting a new department of Blekingesjukhuset [Blekinge Hospital] in Karlshamn, Blekinge called Sjukvårdsrådgivningen [Health Care Advice Bureau]. The thesis starts with a description of the ethnographical methods used, followed by the process of establishing the department. In this new department, the nurses are using a computer based system called Teleråd, developed by TietoEnator. The thesis takes up the issues of how the department uses this system today and concerns what ?user-friendliness? is.

This master?s thesis was written on the behalf of Saba Frukt och Grönt AB inHelsingborg and is the final part of the Master program in MechanicalEngineering at Halmstad University.The main task was to introduce visual control and increase the rate of concept intwo of the departments of the company. This report is a result of a diplomawork in construction engineering.The goal of this thesis is to highlighthow the work with planning andperformance management is done in theprojects at the Swedish buildingcontractor Skanska Väg & anläggning,region Stockholm/Mälardalen, districtMark Stockholm North, compared toSkanska?s policies.The comparison was made with focus onfive tools for productivity. The toolsare as follow: broken-down schedule,work sets, visual control, performancemanagement/progress monitoring and bestpractice.The study showed that the usage of thedifferent tools varied both within andbetween the different projects.Practically none of the projects whereusing the tools progress monitoring andbest practice, mostly due to fewoperations being applicable. The worksets are now mostly documented, but theyare rarely followed up. Performancemanagement is somewhat inconsequentialfor the moment, but during 2011 targetsheets will be introduced, withtemplates for setting up targets.Scheduling is one of the most importantworks regarding planning.

Det bör vara möjligt att skapa verktyg för att beskriva scenarion och med hjälp av tillgänglig mjukvara för visualisering kunna spela upp både verkliga och simulerad bilddata. Detta examensarbete beskriver hur några sådana verktyg tagits fram. Till förfogande fanns en stor mängd bilddata, insamlad på ett militärt övningsområde som dessutom finns representerad som en syntetisk omvärldsmodell. Insamlingen gjordes med en UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle)- prototyp, som var utrustad med videokamera, IR-kamera och tröghetsnavigeringssystem. För att simulerad bilddata skulle få ett verklighetstroget intryck placerades markfordon ut i den syntetiska modellen på exakt samma position som under fältförsöken. Markfordonens position mättes in med DGPS och UAV:ns hastighet, position och rotation bestäms med GPS och tröghetsnavigeringssystem. Resultatet, i form av lagrad tröghetsnavigerings- och sensorstyrnings-data, ges efter en Kalmanfiltrering och blir vanligtvis noggrannare än vad som erhålls från de respektive delsystemen. Tyngdpunkten i arbetet låg i att ta fram Matlab-funktioner som plockar ut rätt vy vid rätt tidpunkt och åskådliggör detta på ett tydligt sätt, samt att placera ut markfordonen enligt de givna koordinaterna.

Helsingborg has the intention to build a train tunnel south of Knutpunkten. This report investigates the hydro geological aspects of the project. Questions at issue that will be answered: 1. Which parameters affect the groundwater level? 2. How will these parameters change within 100 years considering climate changes and what will be the consequences on the groundwater level. According to SMHI climate analysis the climate can change causing increasing precipitation, temperature, and a rising sea level.

Det problemområde som behandlas i arbetet är den del av systemutvecklarens arbete avsett att hantera förändringar i kravbilden under systemutvecklingens hela livscykel, kallat Requirements Management (RM). Arbetet fokuseras på detaljer kring spårbarhet inom förändringshantering.För att lyckas i spårbarhetsarbetet gäller det för systemutvecklaren att se hur de olika krav som finns i kravbilden är relaterade till varandra och var kraven har sitt ursprung. Det skiljs inom spårbarhetsområdet mellan framåt- och bakåtriktad spårbarhet. Vardera spårbarhetsriktningen delas sedan in i två steg från kravursprung framåt via kravdokumentation till realisering då det gäller den framåtriktade och från realisering via kravdokumentation till kravursprung då det gäller den bakåtriktade.En studie har genomförts där litteraturens syn har jämförts med ett antal respondenters då det gäller att dels kartlägga vilka typer av spårbarhet som behövs inom systemutvecklingsprojekt och dels vilket stöd som behövs för att etablera och underhålla denna spårbarhet..

Som nämns i titeln till examensarbetet är målet att integrera olika knowledge-based engineering (KBE) -applikationer till ett nytt IT-stöd. Med mål i examensarbetets kontext avses att skapa en begreppsmodell genom att tillämpa ontologi och taxonomi som en teknik i en begreppsmodellering. På detta sätt kan ett gemensamt vokabulär skapas. Syftet med vokabuläret är att presentera en samstämmig förklaring till olika begrepp samt relationerna dem emellan. Därav kan tolkningen av ett begrepps betydelse minimeras och på så sätt undvika "språkförbistring".

This is a master thesis work carried out at the Department of Energy and Environment atthe Division of Electric Power Engineering. The master thesis work describes the theoryof distance protection relaying in 130 kV meshed distribution networks. The main aim ofthe thesis was to construct an Excel application for calculation and documentation of thesettings for distance protection relays. The program is based on general methods forcalculating settings of the different zones for the distance relay and presents the settingsin simple graphics using quadrilateral characteristics.The reason for building an Excel based application is the great variety of distanceprotection relays in live networks. The manufacturers of distance protection relays makeprogram for documentation available, however, they are based on the typical settings forthe specific relays.

This thesis engages the topic of test methods for wood adhesives. Two test methods were evaluated, EN 302-1, a European standard, and ASTM D905, an American standard. The total amount of specimens manufactured and tested was more than 500. The adhesive bonds were tested in shear with an increasing load on the specimen until failure.The adhesives used were epoxy-resin, phenol-resorcinol-formaldehyde and a 2-K polyurethane. The test programme included five different types of intentional errors per method, in order to investigate the sensitivity of the test methods.

The project has been provided by Zenit design group and the goal for this project was tomanufacture and perform tests of a prototype that supersaturates water in a continuous flow ofwater. The project has involved finding and sorting out relevant data in scientific papers, books,communication with foreign manufactures and other platforms for information.The project has resulted in manufacturing of a test rig and an oxygen infuser based onmembrane technology. The test rigs purpose was to perform tests on oxygen infusers fordifferent comparison test and performance benchmarks in a in a laboratory provided by Zenit.The project led to satisfying results using the oxygen infuser manufactured by the authors withcomparable levels of saturation to the reference infuser.The theory behind this project is based on medical research, belonging terms will be explainedbut the authors have chosen to delimit the project from the medical area.
