This is a survey of different techniques that may be used for embedding geographicdata into web pages. Based on four interviews with teachers at low-, middle- and high schools, where these schools differ in numbers of immigrants and geographical location. In this thesis a number of energy saving methods for a multiplier on algorithmic level are investigated. For the investigation a multiplier is constructed in VHDL, after which the circuit's performance is investigated. A number of techniques for reduced power consumption are introduced in the circuit and are then evaluated. Abstract: In this Master's thesis our aim is to study the situation and process regarding the decision to use outsourcing of the media acquisition function in a Swedish public library. By using New institutional theory, focusing on ways of organising and values in the organisation we are able to analyse this phenomenon. Skot-Hansens theory about three different culture political argumentation schemes, humanistic, sociological and instrumental (or market oriented), gives us the opportunity to place statements and facts into a functional theoretical context. The market oriented scheme is further clarified with the concept of New Public Management. The role of values in the institution, regarding aims and goals is stressed.

Studiens syfte är att undersöka vilka resonemang som gymnasieelever använder när de löser integraluppgifter efter Lithners (2008) ramverk för matematiska resonemang. Fyra elevers resonemang har undersökts genom en kvalitativ analys av videobservationer där eleverna individuellt löser integraluppgifter. Majoriteten av resonemangen i studien kategoriserades som imitativa och saknade ofta matematisk grund. This thesis explores the possibilities of avoiding the issues generally associated with compression of noisy imagery, through the usage of vector quantization. By utilizing the learning aspects of vector quantization, image processing operations such as noise reduction could be implemented in a straightforward way.
