Equal treatment in school is an on-going debate in the Swedish society. At the same time teachers around the country struggles to make ends meet because of a heavy workload. Voices have been raised that teachers no longer have the time to actually be teachers since they get piled up with paper work and other administrative tasks. However, schools are bound by law to take action against harassments and discrimination of any kind. There is also an overall policy in the Swedish national curriculum that every school must embrace diversity and actively teach students about solidarity and respect.

In the years between 2012 and 2014, Burma has been shaken by waves of violence against Muslims which has resulted in destroyed mosques and shops, at least 140 000 displaced and 200 killed persons. The person who is said to lay behind this violence is the Burmese Theravada monk Ashin Wirathu. Being the founder and leader of the radical Buddhist movement 969, he has been accused of indirectly motivating violence against Muslims and has been portrayed with titles such as ?The face of buddhist terror?. This essay investigates the relation between Wirathu and the anti-Muslim violence by applying the method of content analysis on a speech of him.

The purpose of this essay is to examine what can be considered as obscene in the work of JoelPeter Witkin and Marc Quinn, what the similarities and differences are. The essay concerns thehuman body, the norms around it and the old vision of the ideal body. To get closer to myquestion I’ve been examine the meaning of anti-ideal, what it means and what kind of history ithas. The works I’ve been using to reach to my purpose are Marc Quinn’s sculpture Alison Lapper(2005) and Joel Peter Witkin’s photography Abundance (1997). Both of the works are taking theposition that use to belong to the classical beauty.

Båda får genom sin framställning etos, men detta sker på olika sätt. Barack Obama får etos genom att framstå som mäktig och distanserad medan Fredrik Reinfeldt får etos genom att framstå som personlig och nära. Användandet av logos är dock begränsat i bådas visuella framställning.

Denna studie ämnar belysa de två företagen Match och Victoria Milans TV-reklamfilmer. Det primära syftet är att undersöka vilka retoriska grepp Match och Victoria Milan använder sig av i reklamfilmerna för att värva nya betalande medlemmar till webbplatserna. Genom retorisk analys granskas respektive reklamfilm. De retoriska teorier som används är ethos, pathos, logos -triaden och de semiotiska aspekterna denotation och konnotation. I mitt arbete analyserar jag även videoproduktionstekniken för att belysa kameravinklar.

Posters had their breakthrough in 1830-1840?s all thanks to the lithographic printing technique. The poster was used as an advertising tool.In this essay, we have looked at which semiotic and rhetorical elements that are found in today?s Swedish movie posters. What kind of image and text elements does the poster use and with what function? With what and how do they persuade the audience that the movies are interesting and worth seeing?We have taken the most popular Swedish movies between 2001 and 2010, one for each year, going by the statistic found at the website of the Swedish Film Institute.

Adherence to medical ordination is low and for long-time medication it is estimated to be as low as 50 percent. Depending on the prescribed drug this could lead to adverse effects and/or loss of effect of the drug. Information about why a drug is prescribed is important patient information and is thought to help increase compliance with the physician?s prescription. According to results from a recent study of visits to the emergency room at Karolinska Universitetssjukhuset in Solna, Stockholm, medically related problems were the cause in about 30 percent of the cases.

The theoretical basis is founded in Klas Åmarksperspective on Sweden's position in the war, the so-called small state realistic paradigmand the moral perspective, as well all Kosellecks theory about the written word.

With this thesis I have examined the views of religion among six comparative religion teacherstudents, with the perspecitve of their life stories. I have also examined what stance they want to take due to their personal beliefs in their forthcoming teaching. To achive this I have used in-depth interviews among the six soon examined teacher students, and within the interviews I have had a particularly focus on turning points of the students? life stories. Later on I have used their turning points in an analysis with the hypothesis of ?Rites des Passage? and ?Structure and Anti-Structure?.In my survey I have found a significant relationship between the students? life stories - inparticularly their backgrounds and tourning points - and their views of religion.

The aim of this thesis is to investigate how Bahamas, a magazine belonging to the antideutsche current in German left-wing politics, acted during a two year period between the summer 2001 and 2003. When explaining the anti-deutsche phenomena and the editors? politics it is common to take the currents own history-writing as a fact, thus presenting the development of the current as a reaction to outside factors and impulses outside. In this thesis it is stressed that the editors are far from only passively reacting, rather the opposite is true. I claim that the editors have a fixed ideology that they strive to implant in to certain parts of the radical left.

Denna uppsats syftar till att undersöka strömningarna i diskursen kring hur den svenska staten bör organisera sitt anti-diskrimineringsarbete. Teoretiska utgångspunkter och använda teorier är makt, diskriminering, grupp, diskursteori, intersektionalitet och författarnas eget begrepp för att benämna motståndarna till intersektionalitet; särsektionalitet. Metoden bygger på den anglosaxiska diskursteorin genom en identifikation av tre teman byggda på teorierna. Uppsatsen tar avstamp i SOU 2006:22 En sammanhållen diskrimineringslagstiftning Slutbetänkande av Diskrimineringskommittén och låter sju huvudaktörer komma till tals. Genom dessa aktörer identifieras två huvuddiskurser; en delvis intersektionell diskurs som är för en sammanslagning och en särsektionell diskurs som är mot en sammanslagning.

These days, schools are obliged by the law to prepare an annual plan for the prevention of bullying and degrading treatment. The purpose of my work is to investigate the 2 schools efforts to prevent bullying and abuse and how they live up to legal standards. But I have also examined how students in school are experiencing anti-bullying work in their school. I have also examined how much funding schools put on to prevent bullying I school. In this study, I have done interviews with school principals and students to have a clear picture about the school?s anti-bullying work.

SammanfattningProblemområde:Inom NIU-fotboll finns det olika sätt att organisera sig. Vilken påverkan har de olika organisationsformerna på identifikationen av vad de anser vara talang. Hur bedriver det sin uttagning och kommer fram till vilka som ska selekteras och erbjudas en plats på utbildningenSyfte: Studiens övergripande syfte är att beskriva och analysera på vilka grunder som pojkar respektive flickor väljs ut till två olika Nationellt godkända idrottsutbildningar i fotboll samt diskutera om skolornas organisationsformer påverkar dessa talangidentifikationsprocesser.Metod:Studien har tillämpat en hermeneutisk kunskapsteoretisk utgångspunkt och det empiriskt insamlade materialet har inhämtats genom intervjuer och observationer. I och med att mer än en insamlingsmetod har valts har metodtriangulering tillämpats i denna studie som uttryckligen har en kvalitativ ansats.Resultat:Studiens resultat visar att det finns olika sätt att organisera sin NIU-utbildning och att detta påverkar hur talangidentifikation och selektering till sker inom de olika organisationsformerna..
