Investors have been shown to be driven by emotional and psychological factors. This contradicts classical financial theories, for example the Efficient Market hypothesis which states that all investors act rationally. Behavioural Finance is an area of study which describes various psychological factors which may result in irrational investor behaviour.The primary question of the study is: which factors do operating people in the financial sector consider themselves to be influenced by? The purpose of this study is to investigate the factors which affect the process of creating forecasts or making financial decisions. The study examines in addition if there is a correlation between length of investor experience and overconfidence in forecasting accuracy and investment decision making.The study includes both quantitative and qualitative analysis.

Since 2003 Saudi Arabia is under attack from domestic Al Qaida-cells which, by random shootings of westerners and bombings of compounds and official state buildings, is trying to challenge the stability of the royal regime. According to Al Qaida, the Royal family is attacked because of their friendly relations to the US and for not implementing Islam in the Saudi society as profound as they ought to. Political Analyst finds it obvious that the Islamic Al Qaida-cells by terrorism is trying to erode the stability in the kingdom.An important foundation for stability for any government is legitimacy. The aim of this thesis is to examine the royal legitimacy strategy in the state bureaucracy of Saudi Arabia. The question at issue is: how has the royal family constructed the civil, military and religious bureaucracies to maintain and promote stability and legitimacy?The thesis focuses on the on three different units within these three bureaucracies and it surveys the way they are staffed and organized to strengthen and maintain legitimacy for the royal family.

This essay is about integration's discourses in newspapers. It compares four different newspapers with each other and it compares them also in a time perspective. The four different newspapers that the essay compares are Aftonbladet, Svenska Dagbladet, Dagens Nyheter and Expressen. These are Swedish newspapers and they are distributed all over the country. The time perspective is a two months period, one month in the year 1994 and one month in the year 2002.

Att maximera sjukhusens och räddningstjänstens täckning av befolkningen är en viktig säkerhetsfråga som diskuteras inom bland annat hälsovårdsplaneringen. Geografiska informationssystem (GIS) kan användas som ett hjälpmedel för att analysera och presentera andelen befolkning som är utanför sjukvårdens täckningsområden och även visa variationer på täckningsområdena när anläggningar slås ihop eller läggs ned. Syftet med arbetet är att presentera en ny, vektorbaserad nätverksanalys i GIS-miljö för att undersöka hur täckningsområdena för räddningstjänsten i Uppsala kommun påverkas.För att utföra nätverksanalysen användes data från Nationella Vägdatabasen (NVDB) över Uppsala kommun. Attributen som användes från NVDB innehöll information om framförallt hastighetsbegränsningar, väghierarki, tid, restriktioner och gatunamn. Täckningsområdena beräknades med ArcGIS och tilläggsprogrammet Network Analyst och resulterade i en översiktlig karta med räddningstjänstens insatstider och även enskilda insatskartor.

Background: An evaluation of Analysts´ forecasting ability is interesting since their estimates constitute an important part in stock valuation and investment decisions. The recent years´ development in the stock market has lead to criticism of Analysts? deficient forecasts. Purpose: The purpose of this thesis is to evaluate Analysts´ forecasting ability concerning companies quoted at Stockholmsbörsen between 1987 and 2002. We also intend to discuss possible explanations for Analysts? behavior in case of deficient accuracy.

This master thesis is written at the Royal Institute of Technology during the spring and summer of 2008.The assignment was to investigate what factors on a broadband market determine how well it performsin terms of how many people have access to broadband. These are the factors that determine whetheror not a country or market will be able to achieve a high broadband penetration. The purpose of thisthesis was to establish a better understanding for what a market should look like or how a strugglingone can be complemented in order to succeed.As a foundation for this investigation, a group of benchmark countries were chosen and evaluated. Inaddition to this, a group of, developing MENA2-countries were chosen and evaluated. Finally, interviewswere performed with some of Sweden?s leading internet service providers, the regulatory agency andinfrastructure company, Skanova.Among the benchmark countries were Sweden, France, Canada, South Korea and Japan.

 Fortum Distribution som ingår i Fortumkoncernen ansvarar för elförsörjning till kund. Uppgiften med detta examensarbete är att skapa en applikation i syfte att visa hur man kan använda GIS (Geografiska Informationssystem) för att korta ned inställelsetiden vid strömavbrott. Den 1/1 2006 infördes en lagreglering (Ellagen, kap 10, § 9-16) om avbrottsersättning, därför vill energibolagen minska avbrottstiden så mycket som möjligt, bland annat genom att korta ned inställelsetiden. Analyser som baseras på NVDB-data, ska göras för att påvisa nyttan med GIS hos Fortum Distribution. Examensarbetet avgränsas geografiskt till Fortums Distributions koncessionsområde i Värmlands län, den del av Västra Götalands län som tidigare var Skaraborgs län samt Bergslagen. Genom att skapa en databas innehållande attribut och domäner, vägdata från NVDB samt Fortum Distributions data, läggs grunden som inställelsetiden ska beräknas från.

Vägverket grundar sitt arbete om barns säkerhet i trafiken på en barnkonvention utarbetat av FN. I konventionen står det att barns bästa skall komma i främsta rummet vid alla åtgärder som myndigheter och offentliga organisationer vidtar och som rör barn. På uppdrag av Vägverket Region Norr har vi upprättat en visualiseringsmiljö som kan användas för att analysera en befintlig eller planerad trafiklösning. Syftet med arbetet var att undersöka vad som krävs för att med hjälp av GIS-verktyg, utifrån barns synvinkel, bygga upp en 3D modell över en trafiksituation. Vi har undersökt två programvaror, ERDAS Imagine VirtualGIS och ArcView 3D Analyst, och kommit fram till att ERDAS Imagine VirtualGIS lämpar sig bäst för att bygga upp en 3D modell utifrån våra krav.

I have studied the curriculum for the compulsory Swedish school, from the curriculum from year 1962 when the Swedish grundskolan became a reality, to the curriculum from year 1994, the one in practice today. My primary interest has been what the curriculum says about bringing up the Swedish youth. My theory has been the British Analyst Norman Fairclough?s Critical Language Studies. His thoughts about actual discourse, type of discourse and order of discourse has led me through out this essay.

There has been much research on the subject. `Lips red as blood- a structural analysis of Christian symbols´ in Walt Disneys and Rupert Sanders versions of Snow White` by Emma Svanström aims not to give a final answer to how Snow White should be interpreted. But rather the objective is to examine two versions in the search for any possible Christian influences and changes in such over time. The two versions are Walt Disney?s Snow white and the seven dwarfs and Rupert Sanders Snow White and the huntsman.
