Följande arbete behandlar möjliga lösningar för hantering av SYN flooding, en Denial-of-Service-attack mot tjänster som använder TCP för kommunikation över datanätverk. Ett flertal olika skyddsmetoder, med varierande ansatser, identifieras, beskrivs och undersöks. Även möjligheter att kombinera dessa analyseras. Det visas att genom att implementera existerande skydd, samt kombinera flera av dessa begränsas hotet från SYN flooding avsevärt. Rekommendationer presenteras dessutom för hur organisationer bör gå tillväga för att säkra tjänster som riskerar att utsättas för SYN flooding-attacker genom att implementera skydd nära tjänsten först samt därefter ytterligare lager allt längre ut i nätverket..
Design av verklighetsanknuten matematikundervisning
The aim of this study was to design short interventions based on the literature study, which will change the pupils? posture on mathematics and connections between problem-solving in mathematics and everyday life. An experimental group of 17 pupils in fifth grade participated in the study and were educated in everyday mathematics 20 minutes a day during four weeks. The intervention was measured in a pre- and after questionnaire, in order to control the design and discover possible changes in the pupils? posture on mathematics and connections between problems and everyday life.
Willingness-to-Support
The purpose of this thesis is to define and theorise willingness-to-support as a possible measurement of corporate reputation. The knowledge production in this thesis is done through reasoning with companies to gain a deeper understanding of the social world and the respondents? view of their reality. Grounded theory is used as an inspiration for conducting the research. A qualitative method is used in the form of semi-structured interviews with six companies in three different business sectors.

This is a field study based on participant observations and interviews, describing the cooking teacher's complex everyday life. The school's restaurant is a unique arena, freely hovering between two worlds: The school world and the restaurant reality. Here, the students are confronted with real situations and problems, similar to the ones occurring in a restaurant, still having the school's safety net beneath them. It is for real, but still not, a bit like a flight simulator.It is on that arena the cooking teacher works, combining the two roles of the teacher and the chef. Two roles built on their own traditions and values.
Den amerikanska drömmen Rika fruar och lyxproblem : En kvalitativ fallstudie om hur familjerelationer ironiseras i Svenska Hollywoodfruar
This study highlights the stereotypical depictions of journalists in film using a narrative analysis of four major Hollywood productions, starting with All the President?s Men from 1976 through The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo from 2011. Its purpose is to highlight traits given to journalists in the movies and re-occuring themes in the portrayal of the media and the journalistic occupation. Differences and commonalities between the films are concluded in a discussion of ethics, personalities and the media?s self image.
En resa för ett träd : En hermeneutisk studie om attityder till klimatkompensering av flygresor
The purpose of this paper is to examine the attitudes and willingness towards climate compensation in air travel. The study discuss if people feel a personal responsibility about the environment. Earlier research shows that tourists are positive towards climate compensation, but in reality very few use this service. The main question is: Which are the reasons for travellers not to use climate compensation? The used methodology is qualitative and based on ten interviews with people who have travelled by air one or several times since January 2007, when the service was first established.

Följande kvalitativa studie, med abduktiv ansats och reflexiv metod som vetenskapsfilosofisk grund, är resultatet av intervjuer med tio ungdomar som har fått diagnos dyslexi först under sin gymnasietid.
AVVIKANDE KROPPAR I DET SAMTIDA TV-UTBUDET
This thesis discusses the representation of bodies in todays non-fiction television in Sweden. I have chosen to focus on deviant bodies (sexual, deformed or unhealthy) on display in reality-shows and documentaries on SVT, TV4 but especially on the commercial channels TV3 and Kanal5. Also discussed are the viewers emotional and bodily reactions. Altough these shows are different from one another in many respects, I argue that there is also a common thread between them. From a sociological and cultural perspective, and with help of some historical examples, I try to illustrate how we view these shows and what their function is.
Rörelsens inverkan på barns inlärning : En studie om hur fysisk aktivitet påverkar barns inlärning utifrån ett fåtal lärare och elevers åsikter
The purpose of this investigation is to find out how the children?s exercises affect their learning capabilities. With exercise, I mean all kinds of movements, like physics, walks and games.The method I will use in this investigation is interviews, where I choose to interview both teachers and their pupils at a school which uses an exercise-program called röris. Röris is an exercise program which involves moving to music. I also choose to look at Bunkefloprojektet, were scientists has investigated how the power of concentration is affected by exercise.My conclusion from the interviews and the literature is that I can?t prove that the children?s exercises affect their learning capabilities.
The Game of Flow : En studie över spelandets effekter på reaktion, minne och perception
I denna studie är syftet att belysa vilka effekter som underhållningsspel kan ha på motivation och koncentration samt även undersöka om spel kan användas för att förbättra den kognitiva prestationen. Konkret ställs frågan vilka förändringar som sker i reaktion, korttidsminne och perception efter att ha spelat Gradius 3 samt vilka orsaker som ligger bakom dessa förändringar. Resultatet pekar entydigt mot att spelandet har en positiv effekt och förbättrar den kognitiva förmågan. Särskilt när det går bra i spelet och man får ett flow kan prestationen maximeras, vilket överensstämmer med Csíkszentmihályis flowteori. Det flow som uppstår i spelet ger en euforisk känsla av tillfredsställelse som stimulerar motivation och koncentration, vilka båda är förutsättningar för bättre prestation.
Eskortverksamhet med fokus på försäljning av BDSM-tjänster
The purpose of this study is to examine escort-business with a focus on sales of BDSM-services (Bondage and Discipline, Dominance and Submission, Sadism and Masochism).
The study is based on qualitative interviews with three informants providing BDSM-services, as well as a survey with 96 men who requested domination of escorts (the survey was carried out by an escort in the 1980s). The analysis of this material resulted in the identification of three themes on which the study centers: The personal experiences of the three escorts, the interaction between the escorts and the clients, and the changes over time when it comes to the performance of BDSM-services. The study has a gender perspective with a focus on feminism and queer-theory. The important conclusions are that there are several differences between prostitution having a focus on BDSM-services and other prostitution.

Computer animated faces have found their way into a wide variety of areas. Starting from entertainment like computer games, through television and films to user interfaces using ?talking heads?. Animated faces are also becoming popular in web applications in form of human-like assistants or newsreaders. This thesis presents a few aspects of dealing with human face animations, namely: editing, playing and transmitting such animations.

I present previous resarch on this subject and I focused on docu drama and dramadoc. Bo G Jansson is the researcher I used most frequently in this essay. He describes various types of faction texts in film, television and literature. Annette Årheim´s thesis stands for the didactic portion of the essay.
Lekens funktion för språkinlärning hos flerspråkiga barn
This is a qualitative study that explores how bilingual children develop their language through play. The study is based on observations and interviews conducted in a preschool located in a multicultural area of Stockholm.The purpose of using two qualitative methods; observations and interviews, was to get a bigger picture of the study area. The results of the study, illustrated through observations and interviews that I have conducted, shows that the game has great role for bilingual children's language development. Furthermore, the results show that the informants are aware of the importance of play for bilingual children's language development especially when they are talking about investing in the promotion of children's language by using different methods and materials in their pre activity for various games and activities.One of my conclusions is that bilingual children learn the language during both free play and structured play especially when educators are present and aware of the activities that they perform. It is also important to see children as individuals to cover all the needs of children at different activities.
SJ-syndromet - en fallstudie om en intensiv medierapporterings inverkan på en organisations anställda
Media and social media have been proved to occupy an increased amount of time in people's everyday lives and affect how individuals interpret reality. This phenomenon is referred to as the medialization and its implications on organizations and their members become important to understand. The purpose of this study was therefore to examine how members of an organization under intense scrutiny from the media are affected by this exposure in their everyday work. To gain knowledge about the area a qualitative case study was performed on the Swedish train operator SJ AB - one of the most media exposed organizations in the country. A theoretical framework is developed for the study and discusses organizational identity, stigmatization and motivation.
