Riktlinjer för mobil applikationsutveckling
Marknaden för mobila system har utvecklats enormt snabbt de senaste åren. Idag
är det ett område med en allt större omsättning och det har vuxit fram som en
helt ny gren inom Software Engineering. Utvecklare av mobila applikationer står
ständigt inför en utmaning när det gäller att välja vilket mobilt system man
ska satsa på när man utvecklar applikationer. Valet av system kan vara helt
avgörande för om man hittar rätt målgrupp av konsumenter och därmed kan
generera tillräckligt med omsättning för att driva lönsam utveckling av
applikationer. Det räcker inte att enbart kolla på vilket system som har mest
användare eller vilket system som genererar mest omsättning, utan man bör
noggrant överväga de förhållande som gäller för just den applikation som ska
utvecklas.
Genom att följa denna guiden och överväga de olika faktorer som vi har
sammanställt så kan man som utvecklare göra ett val som är baserat på aktuella
marknadsundersökningar.
Framtagning av webbcommunity : En fallstudie med fokus på Extreme Programming
Denna rapport är en fallstudie som återspeglar framtagandet av en webbplats åt det norska Diabetesforbundet. Webbplatsen är ett community där personer skapar användarkonton och interagerar med varandra med hjälp av ett antal funktioner som finns att tillgå. Då själva utvecklingen av webbplatsen har varit huvudmålet med examensarbetet fokuserar denna rapport på att förklara den praktiska implementeringen. De tekniker och metoder som använts i det praktiska arbetet såsom kontextuellt utforskande och användbarhet definieras och förklaras för att sedan användas vid argumentation kring designval för webbplatsen. Den utvecklingsmetod som använts i det praktiska arbetet har varit en Agile Software Development-metod som kallas Extreme Programming.
Larynxmask eller endotrachealtub prehospitalt ? styrkor och svagheter : Litteraturstudie
ABSTRACTBackgroundWhen faced with an unexpected cardiac arrest the ambulance nurse is in responsible for taking advanced actions to create a clear airway. Two accepted methods for this is endotracheal intubation and application of laryngeal mask.AimThe purpose of this study was to examine the use of endotracheal intubation compared to application of the laryngeal mask in unexpected cardiac arrest.MethodLiterature study with quantitative approach. A systematic search of 21 articles comparing the laryngeal mask with the endotracheal intubation has been made using Pub-Med and CINAHL. A quality review according to Forsberg and Wengström has been made.ResultsLaryngeal mask had a higher rate of successful applications compared with endotracheal intubation. Time for applying the laryngeal mask was shorter in seven out of ten of the studied articles.

This thesis processes the work of developing CPU code and GPU code for Thomas Kaijsers algorithm for calculating the kantorovich distance and the performance between the two is compared. Initially there is a rundown of the algorithm which calculates the kantorovich distance between two images. Thereafter we go through the CPU implementation followed by GPGPU written in CUDA. Then the results are presented. Lastly, an analysis about the results and a discussion with possible improvements is presented for possible future applications..

Network RTK is a real-time technique for accurate positioning with Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS). The technology means the use of correction data from a network of GNSS receivers with known positions (reference stations) to reduce the uncertainty in position for the user´s GNSS receiver (rover). However, this requires that the correction data can be transferred seamlessly to the user in real time. Commonly the corrections are transferred via mobile phones. The Swedish National Land Survey operates a nationwide Network RTK service, where users can receive correction data via GSM or mobile Internet (GPRS).

The purpose with this project is to evaluate which of today?s technologies for creating web applications is the most suitable to use when constructing web portals. From a great amount of different technologies, five of the most widespread and well known technologies have been chosen and closely examined on nine different web portal specific criteria. The result from this evaluation is a table where all the grades for each technology is displayed. With the help of this table, it is possible to get an idea about what technology is the most suitable to use when constructing a specific web portal.

Utvecklingen inom informationsteknologi (IT)-området har gjort det möjligt för företag att distribuera tjänster och mjukvara via webben, enligt affärsmodellen Software as a Servie (SaaS). Det har dessutom visat sig att det finns ytterligare vinst att göra för såväl konsumenter som leverantörer av dessa verktyg om de kan distribueras utan omfattande implementeringsaktiviteter och utbildning. Därför vill man uppnå en hög grad av self-service i applikationerna.Affärsprocessföretaget Barium AB har uppmärksammat denna potential hos SaaS-produkterna och hyser en önskan att implementera self-servicetänket i deras produkt ?Barium Live!?. Då den forskning som finns rörande design av self-serviceprodukter i huvudsak handlar om enkla system av kiosk- och automattyp har de tagit initiativ till detta arbete för att reda ut vilka designimplikationer self-serviceaspekten har för mer komplexa applikationer.
Real-time rendering of large terrains using algorithms for continuous level of detail
Three-dimensional computer graphics enjoys a wide range of applications of which games and movies are only few examples. By incorporating three-dimensional computer graphics in to a simulator the simulator is able to provide the operator with visual feedback during a simulation. Simulators come in many different flavors where flight and radar simulators are two types in which three-dimensional rendering of large terrains constitutes a central component.Ericsson Microwave Systems (EMW) in Skövde is searching for an algorithm that (a) can handle terrain data that is larger than physical memory and (b) has an adjustable error metric that can be used to reduce terrain detail level if an increase in load on other critical parts of the system is observed. The aim of this paper is to identify and evaluate existing algorithms for terrain rendering in order to find those that meet EMW: s requirements. The objectives are to (i) perform a literature survey over existing algorithms, (ii) implement these algorithms and (iii) develop a test environment in which these algorithms can be evaluated form a performance perspective.The literature survey revealed that the algorithm developed by Lindstrom and Pascucci (2001) is the only algorithm of those examined that succeeded to fulfill the requirements without modifications or extra software.

At Saab Aerosystems, situated in Linköping Sweden, there is a presentation and manoeuvre simulator simulating the fighter jet JAS-39 Gripen. This flight simulator is called PMSIM. In this thesis we study how to transfer sensor images generated by PMSIM to other simulators or desktop computers. The transmission is band-limited so some kind of image coding must be used. Because of this the greater part of this thesis is concerned with image coding.

Continuing Airworthiness Management Exposition : For Priority Aero Maintenance
The economic crisis has affected the airline industry as much as it has affected all other industries in the world. The small airlines and maintenance organisations must find new opportunities and options in order to survive the harsh crisis. Priority Aero Maintenance is now an approved maintenance organisation performing maintenance on aircrafts, engines and components. The company sees economic gains in the future by becoming an approved organisation that follows the European Aviation Safety Agency guidelines (EASA) and meets the requirements outlined in the rules of Part-M.In order for the company to become an approved organization, responsible for continuing airworthiness of aircraft, a handbook should be presented to the local authority. This handbook describes the company?s responsibility for the continuing airworthiness in order for the authorities to get an insight into the company and its work.This thesis resulted in a draft of CAME (Continuing Airworthiness Management Exposition) and this draft has been approved by Priority Aero Maintenance.The CAME will in the future be used by the company as a basis for developing a more detailed manual to be presented to and approved by the Swedish Aviation Authority (Transportstyrelsen)..

Möjliggörandet av molntjänster har bidragit till att Software as a Service (SaaS) blivit allt mer aktuellt. Detta är inte någon ny teknik, utan den har funnits en längre tid men har nu kommit att aktualiseras genom olika tekniska framsteg. I och med detta har företag börjat intressera sig för denna teknik som ett alternativ till egen lokal drift av IT-system. Vår studie behandlar faktorer i form av risker och drivkrafter som företag ser vid valet att använda tjänster genom SaaS. Dessa faktorer har vi funnit genom relaterad litteratur och andra studier inom området.
