Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is an autoimmune disease, which affects mostly women. RA is also a chronic disease and the treatment is focused on moderating the immunological process. RA-patients experience daily pain which affect their prosperity. The aim of this literature study is to illuminate some factors that influence the well-being of patients with RA. The factors that have been studied are pain, nutrition and need of knowledge about nutrition.

Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka hur självvalda inspelade naturljud kunde påverka upplevd stress hos kontorsarbetande stadsbor. Totalt deltog sju kontorsarbetare. Studien bestod av två intervjuer per deltagare samt att deltagarna fick lyssna på en av två valbara ljudfiler med naturljud på arbetstid. Intervjuerna transkriberades och analyserades genom meningskoncentrering och dessa meningar jämfördes sedan med varandra. Deltagarna upplevde sig vara stressade vid studiens start och vid studiens avslut kände deltagarna att de introducerats till en bra stresshanteringsmetod.

Trots att lite mindre än 2 miljoner människor idag utsätts för ohälsosamma ljudnivåer är samhällets ljudmiljöer idag en lågt prioriterad miljöfråga. Flest exponerade finns det i storstäderna, men problematiken med för höga ljudnivåer ökar i hela Sverige. Detta tillsammans med ljuds kända påverkan på kroppen, bland annat dess bidragande till stress samt störd nattsömn, gör att städernas ljudmiljöer kommer att bli en allt mer viktig fråga för samhällsplaneringen. Samhällsplaneringen arbetar idag defensivt med stadens ljudlandskap. Bullerplank sätts upp, bullervallar anläggs samt installeras tjockare glas i särskilt utsatta byggnader.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att utreda och diskutera vad i händelsekedjan vid orgelspel som påverkar touchen i klaviaturer kopplade till digitala respektive akustiska instrument och att jämföra skillnaden för det musikaliska uttrycket. Frågeställningar jag utgick ifrån var: ?Vad i händelsekedjan, från tangent till klingande ljud, är av betydelse för en bra touch?? samt ?Vilken betydelse har klaviaturen för de musikaliska uttrycksmöjligheterna??För att utreda ovanstående har jag mätt upp spel- och bottenvikter hos olika klaviaturer. Som konstnärlig del valde jag att spela in ett stycke av Klaus Huber till grund för de resonemang jag fört kring olika delar av klaviaturer och dess påverkan på det musikaliska uttrycket. I resultatdiskussionen konstaterade jag att mekaniska klaviaturer upplevs mer levande just på grund av sin ojämnhet.

Sound surrounds us in a great extent, we all have experiences of sound and this phenomena has a great meaning in our lives. High levels of sound might be harmful for your hearing and might also cause related difficulties such as tinnitus and sensitivity to sound. Studies reveal a connection between the attitudes toward high levels of sound and the risk behaviours in these situations. The purpose of this study was to explore the experiences and meaning of sound and whether the attitudes toward sound will reflect in a family consisting parents and adolescents. A family consisting two parents and two adolescents participated each and one of them in an interview in this qualitative study that has been carried out of a phenomenological approach.

The aim of this study is to investigate the situation in Romania concerning trafficking for sexual purposes. We look at what affect the European Union has had relating to this matter, in order to conclude what a membership implies on the fight against trafficking. A gender perspective is apparent throughout the essay and new institutionalism leads us to focus on the affect of the EU, both formally and informally. Questions to be answered revolves around the EU:s strategy against trafficking, recent trends and the implementation of the strategy in Romania, formally and informally. The study has the form of a case study and is conducted through a field study in Romania.

The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to find out how information seeking habits and experiences of people in different generations affects their expectations on information retrieval systems like OPAC. Two OPACs are used, one web-OPAC and one mobile-OPAC. The following questions are asked: how can theories about information seeking behaviors explain why and in which way one seeks information? In which way does information seeking behaviors and habits affect the experience of OPAC? Which differences and/or similarities can be found between the web-OPAC and the mobile-OPAC? How does generational aspects affect experiences and preferences in an information seeking context? The theoretical framework of the thesis is information retrieval with several models about information-seeking/searching needs and behaviors. The empirical data contains interviews with nine people in different generations and protocols about two different OPACs.

Three categories, which describe how self-care agencies affect the physical, psychological and social well-being, are presented in the result.

According to the curriculum the Swedish school system should aim to let the democratic values permeate the school as a whole, and the school should assume each student's individual abilities in teaching. (Lpo -94) Democratic education is what the pragmatist John Dewey strongly encourages in his book Democracy and Education, which is why he stands for the theoretical framework of the concept of democracy in the school context. This study aims to examine whether and if so, the social roles in a classroom can affect students' opportunities for learning. The main research questions asked were:How can the social roles affect students' opportunities for learning in a classroom? How do students perceive that the social roles in the classroom affect their opportunities for learning? This has been investigated by two complementary perspectives.  Partly thru a student perspective to raise the students 'own experiences, and partly from an outside perspective to show how I, as an observer can see that social roles affect students' opportunities for learning.

The object of this essay was, first, to study what advantages parliamentary members in the participating countries argue that their country gains when university students study abroad via ERASMUS, and, second, to study two factors that might affect what advantages that are emphasised by the parliamentary members in the participating countries. To achieve this object, two research questions were posed regarding what advantages of the ERASMUS Programme are mentioned in the parliamentary debate in three countries, United Kingdom, Sweden and Germany, and regarding whether the parliamentary debate is different between the countries as concerns what advantages are emphasised. Subsequently another two research questions were studied, regarding whether the countries? different positions in Europe and the existence of euroscepticism in these countries affect what advantages of the ERASMUS Programme are emphasised in the parliamentary debate. The study was carried out using argumentation analysis, in which the arguments for participation in the ERASMUS Programme presented in the parliamentary debates were compiled and grouped together according to whether they refer to economic and professional advantages or to cultural and social advantages.

En undersökning rörande narrativ förmedlade genom användandet av icke-diegetiska ljud som inte är talad skrift, språk eller musik. .

Uppsatsens huvudsakliga syfte har varit att undersöka den nya reformen ?En modernare rättegång?, som innebär att bevisförhör som hålls i tingsrätten normalt skall dokumenteras genom att spelas in på video (ljud- och bildupptagning). I detta syfte har också ingått att se vem som har rätt att ta del av och begära ut kopior av de videoinspelade tingsrättsförhören, samt att undersöka hur sekretesskyddet för inspelningarna ser ut. Det har kunnat konstateras att bildupptagningen är sekretessbelagd och att sekretessen endast skyddar den enskildes intresse av att inte lida men. Den som begär ut en kopia av ett videoinspelat tingsrättsförhör med stöd av handlingsoffentligheten har rätt att få en kopia om förhörspersonen eftergivit sekretessen.
