Information stored on unprotected computers that gets lost or stolen, and falls intothe wrong hands, can easily be accessed by moving the hard disk to a controlledcomputer, or by booting the computer from a removable medium, in order to getaround the operating system login. This is something that largely affects companieswhere customer information, trade secrets and other sensitive information can becompromised. A classic solution to the problem is encryption of individual files, but ithas some drawbacks as it puts a great responsibility on the users and unencryptedinformation can be left by mistake. A better solution to the problem is transparentencryption of the entire hard disk, i.e. that encryption and decryption of informationis performed automatically and without the user being affected.

Regressionsanalys av tidsserier för 32 svenska börsnoterade företag med mer än 20 miljarder svenska kronor i omsättning 2010 har använts vid den här undersökningen. This report was undertaken at the request of the Management and maintenance department of Swedish National Road Authority (Vägverket Region Sydöst) in Jönköping.In 1992, the management and maintenance of Swedish roads were laid out on external constructors. When putting out a tender for the work, the foundation is from a national set of rules which are in constant change. This report is limited to winter road upkeep.The trend in the invitation for tenders is that it is moving from the more conventional executional demands towards the less controlling demands. The downside of functional, less controlling demands is that it is difficult to articulate how to measure them. The order authority therefore has to find ways to make sure to get what has been paid for.In connection to the invitation for tender of winter road upkeep for 2005, the new set of rules, ATB Vinter 2003 was deployed.The main purpose of this thesis is to see which the big changes in the set of rules are and how these changes affect the organisation and activities of the constructor.It is also studied how the changes in execution is perceived by road users and how it affects the possibilities of the constructor to come as a newcomer to a new area of administration.Interviews and examination of sets of rules has led to a list of a number of changes that the constructors feel affect their work in any sense.Views from road users that have come in to the order authority have been scrutinized to see how they have experienced the change.

As the globalization progresses, the matters of transfer pricing have become essential to multinational enterprises and tax administrations. For states it is important that the transfer pricing is correct to defend their tax base. Incorrect transfer pricing can also have dire effect on the enterprises. They run the risk of both double taxation and tax penalties. Some of the most difficult assets to put a transfer price on are intangibles.

Information technology (IT) with its enormous capacity involves more and more in our daily activities and public sector is using IT to make their activities more efficient. The government goal with electronic government (e-government) among other things is increasing the availability and service to the public as well as improving the democratic process. Democracy can be strengthened by involving citizens in public decision making process but this goal has not been achieved yet and the development of e-government has mostly been focused on improving efficiency within administration and electronic services (e-services). Promoting the democratic process has been postponed in the development of e-government because of the lack of political commitment and decision. Digital divide is also preventing public sector to promote democracy with the support of IT.

Who finds it useful? Background: Corporate governance has emerged to maintain the stockholders interests in corporations where the owners are separated from control in order to create confidence in the corporations. In 2005 the Swedish code of good governance emerged to prevent in part additional corporate scandals from happening and to make sure that the board is acting in the interest of the owners. The code is a complement to the Swedish Companies Act since it has a more strict demand in certain areas but it gives the companies a possibility to deviate by either complying or explaining their actions.Purpose: The purpose with this thesis is to examine who finds the Swedish code of good governance useful.Method: The research method of this survey is quantitative where the purpose is to investigate deviations in the companies? corporate governance reports.

Syfte: Syftet med denna uppsats är att identifiera hur nivån av empowerment utvecklats i en organisation som utsatts för högre krav av effektivitet, hur det förändrat ledarskapet och de anställdas situation, som en ansats till att bidra till den organisationsteoretiska forskningen. Metod: Metodvalet byggde på undersökningens syfte att undersöka nivån av empowerment inom ett företag som genomgått en stor organisatorisk förändring. Metoden som användes för att tillgodose syftet var kvalitativ. Den kvalitativa studien genomfördes med en hermeneutisk utgångspunkt, där den enskilde individen fick beskriva sin upplevelse och erfarenhet av empowerment, för att ge svar på hur empowerment påverkats i en organisation som gått från monopol till konkurrens. Uppsats har en deduktiv ansats, då befintliga teorier som behandlar empowerment legat som grund för utformandet av intervjuunderlaget, som sedan kopplats ihop med det empiriska materialet, utifrån detta har sedan slutsatserna dragits. Slutsatser: Slutsatserna som dragits av författarna till denna studie, är att empowerment nivån i en organisation som gått från monopol till konkurrens höjs. Dessutom verkar en organisation, som gått från monopol till en konkurrensutsatt situation, utvecklas likt en empowermentkultur, för att kunna anpassas till marknadens krav.

Syfte: Syftet är att se om de verksamheter som säger att de tillämpar individuell lönesättning, verkligen gör det? Metod: Vi har valt att göra en uppsats med både kvantitativ och kvalitativ inriktning. Underlaget för undersökningen har varit intervjuer med 19 respondenter i fyra olika verksamheter. Slutsatser: I tre av de fyra fall vi undersökt kan vi konstatera att den individuella lönesättningen inte fungerar.

Två av de stora debatterna inom skolvärlden hösten 2012 rör nationella prov och dokumentation; provens likvärdiga bedömning ifrågasätts i en rapport från Skolinspektionen, och lärare och dess fackföreningar uttrycker missnöje med mängden administration i skolan.
