The essay explores nationalism in the curriculum of the swedish school from 1878 to 1994. The text has been undertaken an analysis in three levels of discourse based on Norman Faircloughs critical language analysis. The first level is the text, the second is types of discourses and the third is order of discourse.The nationalism in the curriculum has been related to three nationalistic types of discourses, derived from earlier studies on Swedish nationalism. They are conservative nationalism, ?folkhemsnationalism? and contemporary nationalism.

AbstractThis is a story about the Swedish Prime Minister Olof Palme and his struggle against USA´s war in Vietnam in the late 60´s and the early 70´s. We follow the young Palme from his childhood to his travels to America and Asia, there he learns what true poverty means. Further we see Palme change side from his conservative background to a new social idealist. In Prag he learns to truly mistrust communism, an ideology he later in life paradoxical will be accused to stand for. Palme´s politic interests seems to take a great step forward when he starts to write articles in the Swedish newspaper Svenska Dagbladet, there he?s writings take more and more colour from Palme´s own politic stands.

The purpose of this thesis is to examine the religious testimony in the following works of the Swedish poet Majken Johansson (1930-1993): Liksom överlämnad (1965), Omtal (1969) and Från Magdala. Fragment ur en självbiografi (1972). A part of the purpose is also to investigate how Johansson phrases this testimony using a contemporary aesthetics. The thesis also studies how her works were received by the contemporary critics. The result shows that they tended to deprecate Johansson?s religiosity but were generally appreciative when it came to her poems.

När miljöproblemen väl uppmärksammades var gestaltningen främst ur ett nationellt perspektiv samt att det i majoriteten av fallen alltid fanns någon värdering. Överlag var industrin den vanligaste orsaken till miljöproblemen och de ämnen som berördes var ofta sammankopplade med just industrin.

Forskare, föräldrar och förskolepersonal har sedan länge lagt märke till att inlärningen av färger och deras beteckningar skiljer sig från inlärningen av andra adjektiv och från substantiv. En undersökning har genomförts med syftet att komma närmare svaret på frågan: hur går det till när barn lär sig kopplingen mellan färg och färgterm? Ett trettiotal barn i åldern två till fyra år har deltagit i ett test med tre delmoment. Analysen har utgått från tre frågeställningar: Hur ter sig kopplingen mellan färg och färgterm i olika åldrar? Finns det någon skillnad mellan enspråkiga och tvåspråkiga barn? Följer barns inlärningsmönster den av Berlin och Kay (1969) föreslagna implikationsordningen? Undersökningsresultaten visar att redan barn som är två år kan göra en korrekt koppling mellan färg och färgterm.

Under 1960- och 1970-talen utvecklas svensk socialpolitik starkt och sysselsättningsgraden stiger markant. Allt fler kvinnor börjar lönearbeta och hemmafrubegreppet luckras upp och försvinner mer eller mindre på ett decennium. Begreppet jämställdhet etableras i den politiska debatten och introduceras även för första gången i läroplan för grundskolan 1969.Den här samhällsutvecklingen märks mycket tydligt i läromedlen för mellanstadiet och på bara drygt tio år sker en enorm förändring. Från att vara starkt präglade av hemmafruidealet samt tydligt normativa vad gäller särskiljandet på pojkars och flickors egenskaper och intressen, till att mer eller mindre vara helt könsneutrala vad gäller de arbeten, utbildningar och fritidsintressen som illustreras och beskrivs i läroböckerna.Ändå visar det sig att utvecklingen i läroböckerna är något släpande i förhållande till den samhällspolitiska utvecklingen i stort. Detta kan bero på att läromedel ofta har en lång produktionstid och således tenderar att hålla fast vid gamla normer och fördomar längre än vad den samtida samhällsdebatten anger..

This thesis is about School libraries and the honour "School library of the year". I have examined the questions - Whats to say about school libraries in the curriculum and the library law? - Who administer the honour "School library of the year" and whats demanded to get it? - What have made the school libraries I have examined to school libraries of the year"? As theory I have used the Taxonomies of the School Library Media Program by David V. Loertscher. I have given a background to and defined the school library as a function, a room and in the teaching among others.

This essay has examined how the local community is involved with the tourism development on the San Blas islands and how it effects the destinations development. The method of choice has been a qualitative interview with an operator that offers trips to the destination. Also there has been made a literature study where previous research about the San Blas and the subjects of choice is being presented. During the writing process of this essay it has become obvious to us that the local community (Kuna Yala) is very much involved in everything that concerns the destination. We can thereby establish that the local community of San Blas can be placed on the top step of Arnsteins (1969) ?Ladder of Participation?.

In 1970 professional boxing became illegal in Sweden and in 2009 the prohibition was removed.Just before both of these changes in the law there were debates in media where people argued forand against ilegalization. In the later debate the focus has shifted from professional boxing toinclude Mixed Martial Arts(MMA) as well. MMA was governed and bound by the same law asprofessional boxing.This purpose of this paper is to compare the debate in 1968-1969 with the debate in 2006. The twodebates resulted in two different outcomes, ilegalization of professional boxing in 1970 and thenlegalization of it 2009. Are there any reason for these differences? What is the reasoning behindthis? By using hegemonic masculinity as a guidance when examining the debates this paper istrying to understand how the discourse have changed over time.

The present essay aims to understand the work of art as place on the basis of Martin Heidegger?s conception of work in Der Ursprung des Kunstwerkes from 1935. That is, a place that cannot be understood in accordance with the physical-technological space, but which cannot either be thought of as mere temporal spacing. This is accomplished by reading Der Ursprung des Kunstwerkes through the shorter essay Die Kunst und der Raum from 1969. Despite the time difference, Die Kunst und der Raum opens up Der Ursprung des Kunstwerkes in such a way that the work cannot be understood as if it were only a temporal event ? as the cause initiating a temporal process or succession of truth.

This is a study in how astronomy has been taught and is being taught in Swedish schools from 1905 to this date with an emphasis on the latest 30 years. It concerns the regulations and methodical recommendations/curricula for Swedish junior high school/Swedish Comprehensive school for the years 1905, 1933, 1955, 1958, 1962, 1969, 1980 and 1994. The matter of integrating astronomy with other subjects and different methodical approaches is also considered. The problem with textbooks written only for one subject when the teacher tries to integrate subjects is emphasised.Physics textbook analysis shows that astronomy teaching has over the years developed, from being based on observations, to become more and more theoretical. It also shows that the amount of practical exercises has been fairly constant in physics textbooks during the seventies end eighties but now in the nineties varies a lot from textbook to textbook. The amount of liberty the textbook gives the pupil in finding knowledge and answers himself in the practical parts of astronomy was at its lowest during the seventies.

Sammanfattning   Syftet med min studie har varit att undersöka lärares uppfattningar om hur olika undervisningsmetoder främjar mer självständiga elever på trä och metallslöjden.Jag har fördjupat mig i gällande styrdokument och tagit del av den nationella utvärderingen av grundskolan (slöjd) som genomfördes 1992 och 2003. Relevant forskning kring självständigt arbete har granskats. Därefter har halvstrukturerade intervjuer genomförts med sex trä- och metallslöjdlärare och observationer i respektive lärares klassundervisning. Jag har även kopplat mina studier till vad läroplanerna 1962, 1969, 1980 och 1994 säger om självständigt arbete. Resultatet visar att alla lärarna som deltog i min studie använde sig av gemensamma genomgångar, enskilda utförliga instruktioner, diskuterade problem och design med eleverna, använde arbetsbeskrivningar, skisser, ritningar och litteratur för att få mer självständiga elever.

The Swedish industrial society has left several areas with contaminated soil and water which today is of danger for the environment and human health. One of these areas with contaminated soil and water is the region where the former Glava glassworks operated during 1859 to 1939. The main object in this study has been to study the responsibility for the contaminations according to the Environmental Code. The method used is a qualitative content analysis of relevant literature to answer the following questions:What types of contaminations can be found in the area of Glava glasswork and what health issues can these cause?What kind of activity has been conducted in the area that have caused the contaminations in soil and water?According to law, what are the responsibilities for the contaminations in soil and water at Glava glassworks?The contamination in the region has been confirmed to originate from the glasswork due to the environmental engineering survey made in the area in 2009.

Det är inte alltid så lätt som förälder att förstå de algoritmer (räkneuppställningar) som barnen använder i skolan idag. Hur föräldrarna kan få hjälp med detta är en del av denna studie som genomförts med föräldrar och elever i en femteklass. Syftet med studien har varit att studera vilka olika algoritmer föräldrarna och eleverna i denna klass använder. För att få en uppfattning om föräldrarnas matematikundervisning har läroplaner från 1969 och framåt studerats med fokus på algoritmräkning. Några olika algoritmer i de fyra räknesätten som har behandlats i skolan genom tiderna presenteras, liksom en övergripande historik kring algoritmernas ursprung.
