Variationer av klor, svavel och aska i havrekärna

odlingsfaktorernas inverkan på havrens bränsleegenskaper

The increasing oil prices during the last years have made it profitable to use cereal grains as a fuel. When compared with wood, cereals contain higher amounts of Cl, S and ash. The Cl and S content makes the gases from cereal combustion more corrosive than gases from wood combustion. The goal of this master thesis was to find out the variation of Cl, S and ash content for oat grain grown under different conditions. Oats was chosen because in Sweden it's considered as the cereal with the best fuel qualities. The cultivation factors given most attention were S and Cl supplied by fertilisers. Attention has also been given to soil type, soil pH and S and Cl deposition. Two cultivation trials were planned, the Cl trial, R3-4038 and the S trial, R3-3093. The trials were carried out during the growing season 2006. Each trial was repeated on four different places in Sweden. The major conclusions from this investigation are: ? The Cl content in oats grains increases when the Cl supply from fertilisers increases, yet the increase of the Cl content isn?t linear. The Cl content in the grain increased on average from 0,74 to 0,91 and 1,00 g kg-1 DM when the Cl application rose from 0 to 25 and 100 kg ha-1 respectively. ? When the Cl supply from fertilisers to oats decreases from 25 to 0 kg ha-1, by using K fertilisers with negligible Cl content, the Cl content of the grain can decrease about 19 %. ? The uneven Cl deposition over Sweden doesn't seem to affect the Cl content of the oats grain. ? The size of the S supply doesn't affect the Cl, S and ash content of the oats grain. ? The grain yield of oats increases for S supply up to10 kg ha-1. ? The S deposition in Sweden or the clay content of the soil doesn't seem to affect the S content in oats grains. ? Oats grown on a soil with pH 5,3 hade 15 % lower grain S content than oats grown on soils with pH 6,3. The S content was on average 1,49 and 1,75 g kg-1 DM respectively. ? The proportions of NH4-N and NO3-N in the fertilizer doesn't seem to affect the Cl content of the oats grain.
