Omorganisering som medicin - En uppsats om att organisera den svenska sjukvården

The health care is an important part of the welfare services in Sweden. Therefore it is of large interest that it is well performing. A part of this is related to how the health care is organized. This essay examines how the Swedish health care has been organized between 1960 and 1990 and what organizational changes that have been made to the health care. It shows that the Swedish health care has un-dergone many organizational changes the last decades. The most apparent change is the expansion of the health care in the 1960's and 1970's compared to the poli-cies of restraint later, especially in the 1990?s. There are trends in what have been in focus while doing reforms in the health care sector. From planning in the 1960's and 1970's to decentralization in the 1980?s, continuing with market principles as competition in the 1990?s. The events can be understood as a reaction to the context of where the health care is a part, where especially economy is an important factor. It is also clear that health care is a particular diffucult area to organize, mainly due to its size, many actors, its high grade of professionalism and its complex organization.
