Blomgren - en mönsterkollektion
This report is about the exam project; Blomgren- a collection ofpatterns. During eight weeks I have from the family Blomgren, whowas my grandfather?s family with siblings and parents, produced fivepatterns for textiles into interior and space. In addition to thefamily as an inspiration, I have taken into account of the collection?sname - as a word and the meaning of the word. The project?sobjective has been to learn more about patterns of creation and howto make a repetition from an illustration and story. I have feltthat my knowledge of making patterns was a bit vague. The questionsthat have lead me through my work has been: 1) How important is itthat the colors match? 2) Which techniques are allowed while makingpatterns? 3) What can I tell about the Blomgren family? The wholeproject has been an experiment with colors, objects and differentshapes. I have learned more about the process and a lot more aboutmaking patterns, which was the most important part of my goal.
