I have worked with Patterns for textiles, and the goal of the project was to makethree Patterns in one colorway. My wish was that the Patterns would be relatedeither in motif or colorway, or both. I wanted the Patterns to be seen as a minicollection. My aim was to make three Patterns that would serve as home textiles.I decided to print the Patterns digitally on fabric, but also to customize the designof the pattern repeats to be printed in rotary printing. I wanted to work within thelimits of what is possible to produce in terms of colors and repeat sizes.One of my goals with the project was to clarify for myself what the essence of mydesign is, and to create a collection that reflects me as a designer.

Partial discharges, or PD, are a physical phenomenon in which discharges occur locally due to large electric fields. PD can occur in or adjacent to the insulation of stator windings and causes breakdown of the insulating materials. PD measurement can provide an idea of how widespread the PD activity is. A technique to measure and analyze PD that has become very popular over the last few decades is phase resolved PD Patterns.

Design Patterns introducerades på 1990-talet och användningen sades medföra en rad fördelar som skulle hjälpa systemutvecklare i deras arbete. Bland annat skulle Design Patterns underlätta för systemutvecklarna att kommunicera med varandra samt ge en bättre överblick över och förståelse för systemarkitektur genom en höjd abstraktionsnivå. Systemutvecklaren skulle även få en ökad förståelse för god design. Två kritiska artiklar fick oss att vilja beskriva hur systemutvecklare som aktivt arbetar med Design Patterns upplever att centrala fördelar uppfylls. Vi genomförde fyra fallstudier där vi intervjuade erfarna systemutvecklare och vår slutsats är att de upplever att fördelarna med Design Patterns uppfylls.

The catchphrase this project has been; the boundaries between ornamentation and improvisation are fluid.My aim was to focus on my work process, giving me the space and time so develop my design further regarding shape, color and combination of different styles in Patterns.This is an explorative project where Patterns were created without a predetermined product of which the Patterns would be applied. In a later stage the character of the pattern determined which product that would be most suitable for application.It resulted in a collection of Patterns for wallpaper and clothing. The motives are foxes, geometrical shapes and squares from a notebook. These motives form an ornamental expression in the Patterns with the purpose of embellishment and therefore increase the emotional value of the product..

This is a project about creating new Patterns from childhood memories of Patterns. I havebeen reaserching the possibility to add further value to a pattern in terms of memories, stories,associations and feelings.The goal has been to create new Patterns from other peoples memories of Patterns. It hasalso been my purpose to develop my skills and feel more comfortable in the creating of Patterns.The questions at issu has been:How can I tell a story with a pattern?How can I communicate a feeling or a mood with a pattern?How does our memory image and an interpretation effect the process and the end result?I interviewed nine people. The questions during the interview was:Your name and age?Where was the pattern you?r going to talk about placed?How did it look like?What kind of feelings or emotions do you connect with this pattern?Someting else you whant to tell about the pattern?I created five Patterns and during the process with the interviews I realised the importance ofshowing the stories in the end result.

For this essay we used pattern theory from interface design and applied it in an analysis of touch games. In order to make full use of the Patterns, we selected five of them and adapted these slightly with the help of game related Patterns to be useful for the framework of this essay. The selection of games were the top eight games on the App Store?s ?What?s Hot?. The results showed, among other things, that the games had a clear focus on getting a pleasant apperance, and they did it relatively well.

This report is about the exam project; Blomgren- a collection ofPatterns. During eight weeks I have from the family Blomgren, whowas my grandfather?s family with siblings and parents, produced fivePatterns for textiles into interior and space. The character of a pattern carries through to the context in which it is placed. Each pattern tells a story. By interpreting our surroundingenvironments we become inspired, and the Patterns in turn can become part of our own narratives. Pattern design is a territory which has been widely explored by many during a long period of time. With this project I hope to shine a new light on wallpaper design, the area on which I?ve applied my Patterns to.The inspiration for this wallpaper collection originated in a past project in which I experimented with weaving strips of paper together in different ways. During this time I found myself curious to investigate how this kind of weaving could be applied to textiles, wallpapers, etc.My main focus in this project has been about creating interesting Patterns in which unexpected motifs are woven together. The goal with my project was to explore what it is that distinguishes Berlin as a city and then translate that into abstract Patterns. Sweden has a great tradition of pattern in both wallpapers and fabric, where colours and shape matters a lot for the customer. I have through my examination project tried to expand the views and find new alternatives and shapes for the obvious pattern traditions. I have therefore worked with what could be on the verge of attractive or repelling. To create a curiosity of what is considered to be commercial. From the prospective of the body organs I have created physical Patterns for fabric and wallpapers.

An old and well known problem in sawmilling is to determine which dimensions /products those are most profitable to produce. Existing optimization models maximize the value of the log. In other words, based upon the market prices of the dimensions the models calculate the best way to split the log. Yet there is a great uncertainty if the most well paid dimensions really are the most profitable to produce. The costs of the process from lumber to sawn products are hard to determine and are therefore often left out from the optimization process. In this study the economic contribution of different dimensions/products are analysed.
