Användande av diffusionsspärr vid tilläggsisolering av äldre byggnader med trästomme

In the current situation a big part ofthe settlements that exist in Sweden isin need of renovation and energyefficiency in order to survive.Therefore, also many of the older houseswith a wooden structure are in a need ofenergy efficiency, which can be done ina variety of ways, including addinginsulation.This project deals with whether the useof a diffusion barrier or a Vaporbarrier affects a wall structure byadding insulation to an older house witha timber frame. The insulation materialswhich are concidered in thisinvestigation are mineral wool and woodfiber insulation. Efforts are focused onthe effects of moisture on theseinsulation materials.To demonstrate the differences thatarise the moisture measurement programWUFI have been used to simulate avariety of wall designs. These designsare developed in consultation with theconstruction carers who are active inthe industry.Using WUFI graphs illustrating themoisture levels of the wall structureswere obtained and from these conclusionsvould be drawn. The work demonstratesthe differences that arise when using adiffusion barrier or Vapor barrier inwall construction.

Utvärdering av lämpliga metoder för vattengenerering

This master thesis has been performed at the department of Machine Design at KTH, The Royal Institute of Technology. The thesis has been a part of a global development project in collaboration with Luleå University of Technology, Lund Faculty of Engineering and Stanford University. Corporate liaison and sponsor has been Immerse Global Inc. The project was also performed on sponsorship from the Product Innovation Engineering Program, PIEp. The thesis is a representation of some of the contributions made by the authors.The lack of clean drinking water is one of the key issues facing the world today.

Förbättrad planeringspolicy mot lågfrekventa beläggningsprocesser : - I en av Sandviks produktionsenheter

Att ha en god planeringspolicy för samtliga produktionsavsnitt i en produktionsanläggning är en viktig del i en organisation. Inom en industri med många produktvariationer och artiklar är det lämpligt att anpassa flera planeringsmetoder för effektiv planering mot samtliga operationer. I en av Sandviks produktionsenheter för skärtillverkning i Gimo var fokus riktat till att förbättra planeringspolicyn mot lågfrekventa beläggningsprocesser. I denna studie presenterar och optimeras planeringen mot två beläggningstyper vardera inom Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) och Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD). I grund för detta examensarbete finns en teoretisk studie, simulering samt fallstudier på Sandvik Coromant AB.

More moisture in combination with higher relative humidity may pose a higher risk of microbial growth.

Barns tankar om vattnets kretslopp och vattnets betydelse för livet på jorden.

Huvudsyftet var att ta reda på vad förskolebarn kan och tänker kring vattnets kretslopp och vattnets betydelse för allt liv på jorden. Samtidigt syftade undersökningen till att ta reda på pedagogernas arbetssätt och tankar kring dem. Undersökningen har genomförts med hjälp av kvalitativa intervjuer med såväl pedagoger som barn. Intervjuerna har spelats in och sedan transkribetats för att därefter analyseras. Resultatet av undersökningen visar att barnen har god kännedom om vattnets kretslopp och vattnets betydelse för livet på jorden.

Jämförelse av stenull- och polyuretanisolering : Brand- och fuktegenskaper i passivhuskonstruktion

This report compares two different types of insulation with regards to fire and moisture. The materials were tested for the company Fiskarhedenvillan AB, for a wall and a roof construction that the company currently uses in the establishment of Sweden's first certified passive house for international standards.Their current material, Rockwool, is compared to a relatively new material on the Swedish market called SEALECTION Agribalance sold by the company ISO Green AB. The material is a type of polyurethane insulation. This insulation material would result in a more efficient execution of the construction as it provides waterproofing and is applied more easily than Rockwool. From a fire standpoint, literature studies and discussions with fire experts led to results.

When constructing a building, a number of aspects must be harmonized in order for it to fulfill requirements ? a building must fulfill requirements such a load-bearing, conservation of energy and a good indoor environment by means of, among other things, moisture proofing .Moisture problems in buildings can affect health negatively. As we are increasingly staying in indoors, demands on a good indoor environment are higher.This work starts with examining moisture problems in slab-on-ground solutions, and then links the various scenarios to moisture problems in a concrete slab of a real building. The building with moisture problems is located in Årby by in Borlänge and moisture damage was found in the slab at an apartment adjoining wall.By reviewing literature written within the field of moisture problem, making hand calculations and modeling in the program Comsol Multiphysics, judgments are made to find explanations as to why the rise of moisture occurred in the building in Årby by.Generally, the following guidelines may be used to reduce the risk of moisture problems in slab-on-ground constructions:Drying of construction moisture before laying the floor material.Using draining layer beneath the slab, to prevent capillary suction.Using insulation under the slab, partly for comfort and to establish the temperature difference between the ground and the concrete slab.Avoid direct contact between the wood and concrete, due to degradation and fouling smells that normally occurs.If necessary, use additional Vapor barrier.In addition to the above, there are various methods for moisture-proof and moisture-monitoring by design or by the method ByggaF suited for the entire construction process various events..

EGR-relaterad nötning för systemet kolvring - cylinderfoder

EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) är en teknik som används för att minska utsläppen av kväveoxider från förbränningsmotorer. Med EGR återcirkuleras delar av avgaserna till motorn vilket medför att sot och andra partiklar samt sura ämnen återförs. Därmed ställs det nya krav på motorns material och det gäller framförallt motorns cylinderfoder och kolvringar som detta arbete inriktar sig på. Syftet med arbetet är att med hjälp av en nötningsrigg sålla mellan olika material och ytbeläggningar under EGR-liknande förhållanden samt att undersöka olika faktorers inverkan på slitaget. En nötningsrigg av typen pinne-platta används där en del av en kolvring förs fram och tillbaka över en provbit från ett cylinderfoder.

Use of lighting is crucial to make public urban places available during dark hours. Landscape architects participate in planning of lighting, but during our education there is very little taught on the subject. Through this study we approach the subject of lighting by looking into lighting methods for urban plant materials during winter. In this thesis we look into ways to emphasize the visible characters and experiences of urban plants during winter season using light. Target audience are landscape architect students and landscape architects without knowledge of lighting. The part of the thesis that describe basic conditions for, and visual characters of plants can be useful to lighting designers without knowledge in this subject. Working methods used were the following: ? Pre-study about light and lighting techniques through literature and dialogues. ? Compiling important visual winter plant characters through photography and literature. ? Outdoor light experiments with plants.

Nya energibärare i fordon: deras påverkan på tunnlar och undermarksanläggningar vid brand

Idag domineras bränsleanvändningen av bensin och diesel i fordon. Användningen av bensin minskar till förmån för nya energibärare. De nya energibärare som tas upp i rapporten är batterier, etanol, E85, metanol, biodiesel, biogas, vätgas, naturgas, LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) och DME (Dimetyleter). Av de nya energibärarna är det idag E85 som är mest använt i Sverige, följt av batterier inom hybridteknologin och metangas. De nya energibärarna har egenskaper som skiljer sig från de vanliga bränslena, bensin och diesel.
