Anhörigas medverkan på särskilt boende

This is a qualitative study that explores the involvement of the Relatives in the special housing based on the perspective of fourteen interviewees working in elderly care, at special housing.The purpose of this study is to analyze the nursing staff's view of the involvement of the Relatives and the presence of care provision at special housing. The study is to find out what can constitute support or obstacles to the Relatives.Three questions have been presented as the structural basis upon which the objective finds its conclusion. These questions try to explore and identify the forms of support that can help Relatives in their involvement in elderly care. There are opportunities and obstacles for the involvement of the Relatives in the care of the elderly as well as expectations of nursing staff on the role of the Relatives in the care of the elderly which the following study focuses on.The research reflected in this study involves the care staff and their experiences and views on the Relatives who have their older live permanently in residential care.In conclusion, the study identifies similar reasoning among respondents regarding to key aspects of the Relatives at the special housing. They emphasizes that Relatives are needed there and they are important resource for both the residents and the staff.The results indicate that there may be both opportunities and obstacles for the involvement of the Relatives.

Närståendes delaktighet inom psykiatrisk slutenvård : Ur ett livsvärldsperspektiv

Today adult patients' Relatives are seen as a resource in psychiatric care but few researchers have examined the lived experience of Relatives' participation in psychiatric care. The aim of this study was to illuminate how mental health staff and Relatives of adult patients experienced the Relatives' participation in psychiatric care on hospital ward.The study was guided by a phenomenological approach and a lifeworld perspective. Data were collected through in-deep interviews with ten adult patients' Relatives and three group-interviews with ten mental health carers from two hospitals in Sweden.The essence of the lived experience of Relatives' participation in psychiatric care in hospital ward is described in the constituents: invitation to participate in psychiatric care; meet the staffs' care; to participate in own or others terms; bring the common everyday world with you; feel burden; participation a trip in time and space. The findings of the study show that the relation between the staff and the Relatives are important for the Relatives' participation in psychiatric care. The Relatives' participation can alter from no participation to a meaningsful participation, from suffering to well-being.This study can help medical staff to understand Relatives and their participation in a new way..

Anhörigas uppfattning om vården på en hospiceavdelning : En kvantitativ studie

Aim: The aim of this study was to investigate Relatives opinions of information, interaction, support, participation and care at a hospice unit. The aim was also to investigate whether there was a difference between women and men.Method: The study is a descriptive quantitative cross-sectional study. A questionnaire with closed and open-end questions was sent out to 66 Relatives to patients who had died at the hospice unit. The closed questions were analyzed with SPSS. A content analyze was used for the open-end questions.Results: The most of the Relatives were fully pleased with information, interaction, support and care.

The study focus on how they are meet, satisfaction with and participation in the care. The study is done as an improvement project.Methods: The study was conducted by performing semi-structured interviews with eight close Relatives to patients on a general psychiatric ward. The interviews lasted for 20-40 minutes.Results: The result shows that Relatives are satisfied with the way they are meet by the staff on the ward, that they appreciate staff that are open, down to earth and are inviting to form a good relationship.

The aim of this essay was to examine what kind of help and support social services departement can offer gamblers and their Relatives. We also want to examine what the Relatives to the gamblers think about the help and support they have got from the social services departement. Central questions we asked were: What kind of help and support can social services department offer the gamblers and there Relatives? What kind of help is there to get for children respectively adult Relatives? Do the Relatives consider that the social worker have enough knowledge about the problem? Do the social workers consider that they have enough knowledge about the problem? This is a qualitative study of three women Relatives to the gamblers, three social workers and one specialist in this problem. We have delimited the study to one big city in Sweden.

The aim of the literature review was to investigate how Relatives to a person suffering from dementia, in institution, experienced the nursing hom staff and the relation to them. The study was based on eight scientific articles. The result gave thirteen themes, that showed that Relatives experienced the nursing home staff having a hard work under pressure. They were nice but without knowledge. The Relatives experienced that the nursing home staff didn´t see or hear them and gave no confidence.

The aim of this study is to investigate attitudes among Relatives and Emergency Department staff, concerning Relatives possible presence during resuscitation. Seven scientific articles revises in the studys method. The articles have been searched for in CINAHL, Elin and PubMed. Articles have been analysed using Polit, Beck and Hungler (2001) instructions to evaluate scientific quality. The findings of this study show there it seems no longer appropriate routinely excluding Relatives from family presence during resuscitation.

The aim of this study was to examine and analyze the experiences which social workers have of working with Relatives of substance abusers. This included examining how they work with Relatives who are in need of care and support and how the social workers identify their needs. We have also investigated how well informed the social workers are when it comes to approaches to helping Relatives of substance abusers. A qualitative method has been used in this study in order to analyze the experiences of the social workers from a phenomenological point of view. This study was based on six semi-structured interviews.

The aim of our study has been to come to an understanding of how the executive officials within the care of the elderly experience the cooperation with Relatives to elderly people who is in need and apply for public home help according to the law of social services. Our expectation of this study is that we gain an increased insight how they as executive officials manage this cooperation situations. The method we used in this study has a qualitative research approach. This design was chosen as the most appropriate approached to illuminate and exploring the experience of the executive officials. Nine executive officials has described their experience in this matter in an interview were we both participate.
