The topic for this essay is tutoring for Nurses. The study is about Nurses who work in a nursing home for the elderly and who want to get tutoring and more education. Qualitative method was used and twelve Nurses who worked in a nursing home were interviewed. The interviews were taped and written down. Then relevant quotes were picked out of the text and placed into eight different themes.

Abstract:Job satisfaction has great significance for Nurses. The job is very demanding and requires a great deal of responsibility. Low job satisfaction and organisation changes affect their work negatively. The aim of the study was to investigate the Nurses? job satisfaction and job situation.

The purpose of this empirical study was to investigate if stress exists among Nurses, and if it exists how do they experience it and how do they cope whit it. The Nurses also got to define the word stress. Karasek and Theorells demandcontrollmodell were used as a theoretical framework. The result of the study answers our research questions and gives us a good insight how the Nurses experience stress and how they cope with it. The result shows that 56 of 60 Nurses indicated that they experience medium to high level of stress a couple of days a week or more often and that it affects their work.

The purposes of this literature review were to study how Nurses use intuition in health care, how these experiences are described by Nurses and if you as a nurse can learn how to use your intuition. We also want to make Nurses attentive of and give them the courage to use their intuition. The study is addressed to both nurs-ing students and practicing Nurses. The method is a literature review based on nine scientific articles. The results implicate that Nurses use their intuition to know how to do something, when additional measures needs to be done and which measures they are.

Background: Patients postoperative pain is often underestimated. Untreated or undertreated pain decreases the chance of optimal recovery after surgery. Pain assessment is an important factor of efficient pain relief. Aim: The aim of the literature study was to describe factors of importance for Nurses´ assessment of postoperative pain in patients. Method: A literature study was done where qualitative and one quantitative article was reviewed.

BACKGROUND: A Pressure ulcer means much suffering for many people. It also leads to big economical costs for the society. Therefore it?s of great importance to prevent pressure ulcers. If pressure ulcers are to be prevented Nurses need to have sufficient knowledge about preventive strategies.

AimThe aim of this study was to investigate and describe qualified Nurses? worries related to handling chemotherapeutic drugs, further is the aim to explore if the Nurses comply with the guidelines at a haematological ward. MethodThe cross-sectional study uses a descriptive design and a quantitative approach to analyze Nurses? worries at a haematological ward. The data has been collected through questionnaires which were handed out to 42 Nurses at the haematological ward. The questionnaires included 17 questions that were designed by the authors of this study, and 32 Nurses returned the questionnaire. ResultsThe majority of the Nurses declared that they handle chemotherapeutic drugs once or more a week. The results of the study show that the Nurses´ comply with the available guidelines are relatively good.

HIV/AIDS is a chronic disease that has increased and will continue to increase. Most health care workers will one way or another come into contact with it. The purpose of this literature review was to describe factors contributing to Nurses' attitudes towards patients with HIV/AIDS. Sixteen articles were analyzed and quality assessed. The results revealed gaps in knowledge among Nurses.

A peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC line) is a catheter that is inserted through a peripheral vein in the arm and then on to a central vein in the chest. It is used to give injections and infusions and to take blood samples of patients who need treatment for longer periods.The aim of this study was to investigate Nurses' perceived knowledge of the care and use of PICC line in wards where PICC line does not occur daily. The aim was also to investigate if the Nurses expressed a need and wished for more knowledge to be able to use PICC line, and if PICC line is not used investigate the cause of that.The study was of a descriptive design with quantitative approach. An online survey was answered by 40 Nurses from five wards at a university hospital in central Sweden.A large number of the Nurses who responded to the survey reported that they lacked knowledge of the care and use of PICC line. Despite this, three-quarters of the Nurses usually use PICC line at the infusion / injection / blood tests on patients with PICC line, if they are cared for in their ward.

Knowledge regarding pain and pain treatment is an essential part within nursing that a nurse is responsible for. Earlier studies have shown that lack of that kind of knowledge often results in inadequate treatment for pain. The purpose with the study was to describe Nurses? knowledge regarding pain and pain treatment at a medical unit in a hospital in central Sweden, and to see if there was a distinction in knowledge related to professional experience. Data was collected through a questionnaire with questions referring to pain (6 questions) and pain treatment (6 questions).

Florence Nightingale focused her attention on preventing cross infections by using good hygiene and as a nurse that is one of your more important tasks. More education is necessary.
