AbstractThe purpose of this paper was to examine preschool teacher?s thoughts about using Manual Signs as Alternative and Augmentative Communication as an aid for children in/with communication disabilities. The method I?ve used in the survey is qualitative interview.The three interviewed preschool teachers use Manual Signs foremost for those children who have a poorly developed spoken language. Manual Signs are used as a complement to the spoken language and the preschool teachers use it to increase the children?s power of concentration.

In order for a business management to be able to make informed decisions for their companies need enterprise management system regularly checked by internal audits. The aim of purpose with this work was to develop a working Manual for integrated internal audits. This was done through a litterature study and interviews with auditors. An in-depth interview was conducted with an experienced auditor to get more understanding and depth of the internal audits process, and how the Manual could be designed. Discussions were held with the person responsible for environment, health and safety at Swedspan Hultsfred to adjust the Manual to the company?s internal management system.

This master thesis states the following questions: Is it easy or difficult to retrive information from a mobile phone Manual? How can the search process be described among user for a mobile phone Manual? What similarities and differeces can be identified between users? Arhe there any variables that affect search performance such as reading skills or technical domain knowledge? Eight mobile phone users participated in an empirical observation and the scope was to find information in a paper version of a mobile phone Manual according to given tasks. The results shows that some users has problems to retrieve information due to that the correct page in the mobile phone Manual could not be located. The results show that the user is using several search strategies, for example the table of contents and the index, when trying to locate information. The results also revel that the user initiates multiple search steps before the correct information can be located.

The work describes the development of an adjustment algorithm that will replace today?s Manual adjustment of Lead- and Lag-filters at ABB Robotics industrial robots. The adjustment is mainly for the filter parameters in the control system.Three different algorithms have been created to replace the Manual adjustment. One of them is based on the criterion from the Manual adjustment and another one on optimization of the sensitivity function. The last one is a combination of the two.The report describe the development of the algorithms and how they behave during simulations and tests on real robots.

SammanfattningDet här examensarbetet har gått ut på att undersöka hur en Manual kan utformas för att instruera i att skriva klarspråk om teknisk information.Jag har arbetat utifrån principerna läsligt, läsbarhet och läsvärde samt läst studier i hur en skribent kan förenkla en text. Jag har också utfört en textanalys, gruppintervju och användartest för att skapa en Manual som kan vara anpassad utifrån målgruppens behov. I mitt arbete har jag använt mig av principer för att skriva klarspråk. Det är att målgruppsanpassa, använda bekanta ord, skriva en logisk meningsbyggnad och att -strukturera texten på rätt sätt. Manualen blev kortfattad för att passa målgruppen. Den innehåller många exempel för att skapa förståelse och läsvärde..

This report is a thesis work for a B.Sc. in Forestry exam at the School for Forest Engineers, SLU. The work was an assignment from Södra Skogsägarna and the aim of the work was to investigate the economical and biological output after mechanical planting with Eco-Planter compared with traditional Manual planting. Eco-Planter is a tool for mechanized planting, fixed at the end of the boom on a conventional harvester. The study confirms that Manual planting is less expensive under normal conditions. However, the differences between mechanized and Manual planting are not that big and with technical development and/or increased labor costs together with an improved work organization the system with Eco-Planter could be competitive. The biological output, e.g. planting result and survival rate, seems to be quite good.

Abstract Background Todays guidelines for advanced CPR emphasize chest compressions with good quality and early defibrillation. Prehospital CPR performed by ambulance crew, an automated external defibrillator (AED) is used. The AED analyzes the heart rhythm and the performer is following the advice to chock the heart or not, given by the AED. During on-going CPR there are sequences when no chest compression is performed known as hands-off time. Hands-off time includes the time for the AED to analyze the heart rhythm and the time when advice is given to the crew.

This thesis includes a description of the project flow for our projects at Semcon. The emphasis is on designing a Manual for elMaster Concept.The project flow provides several minor and major elements plotting schedules for this project and the establishment of a Manual. When a schedule is drawn, lists and tables with components and connections can be created. This is done to better manage drawings and make changes. These diagrams and tables are used in product manufacturing, testings, controls.
