Value creation from a gender perspective – a case study of Caran

Caran has a strong belief that women Leaders affect the financial profitability positive. Since women Leaders are intangible resources it is very difficult to calculate its exact value. The authors found that one of their measurement methods can’t be used to calculate the value of women Leaders. The other measurement method can calculate significance between women and men Leaders and provides an index to be compared to other groups. But there is no prove that women are better creating value than their men colleagues, the figures indicate that women add more value due to their lower wages.

Skolledare och digitala teknologier : En kvalitativ studie i skolledares användning av och tankar kring digitala teknologier, i arbete och för skolan

Today, digital technologies (DT) can be said to play an important role in the Swedish school system. The goal of this essay was to describe DT use by school Leaders, in relation to their views on schools? goals and visions, and teachers? and students? use of DTs. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with five school Leaders of secondary schools in Umeå municipality, Sweden. The results show that school Leaders? use of DTs center on three key tasks: communication, information and administration.

Floorball is currently the second largest sport in Sweden, yet there is a low ethnic diversity. This study aims to describe, explain and understand how the Leaders in Swedish floorball perceive the work with ethnic diversity from the Swedish Floorball Federation and within the associations they seem. The questions of the study are: How do Leaders perceive that the Swedish Floorball Federation works to promote ethical diversity in the within the federation? How do the Leaders describe their own efforts to promote ethnic diversity within their team / association? How do the Leaders perceive their role in increasing ethnic diversity? How do the Leaders perceive the sport as an integration arena? The study was based on a qualitative method with semi-structured interviews. The respondents were eight Leaders from four different associations, two Leaders from each association.

The purpose of this essay was to find out how Leaders in micro service firms practice HRM and identify which HRM related problems they experience in their Leadership. A case study consisting two cases was carried out. The study has shown that Leaders in micro service firms use a highly personalised, informal management and involve their employees in the firm?s development. The findings were that Leaders of micro service firms do not have any theoretical knowledge of HRM practises because of lack of education.

ABSTRACTWe have chosen to write an essay about competence because we think that it is an important and a current subject of interest, both to us as future team Leaders, but also to all activities within the community. We have a background working with eldercare and we have noticed that there are continued changes going on. This made us want to study what team Leaders and their staff think about competence and the development of competence. The purpose of this study is to analyse how team Leaders work to develop competence with their personnel working in home care. We also want to analyse how the personnel experience their competence and their need for development of competence.

The Swedish armed forces has for many years educated squad Leaders by letting them start their training two and a half months before the soldiers start their training. 2007, this system was used for the last time. I went trough this system myself in 2005 and had a positive experience and when I did my internship I experienced a slight difference in the attitude of the squad leader. I talked with my colleges at the company and they had felt the same. This essay will try to analyse if the squad Leaders has lost any of there ability and if so, what could be the cause? To analyze the ability of the squad leader in this essay it will first analyze their ability through the Direct Leadership theory, which is the theory that is presently used in the Swedish armed forces.

The purpose with my project is to evaluate how Recreational Leaders use the outdoor environment, how much they use it and why. My method was to assemble the surveys which were answered nationally by Recreational Leaders. During my project I have investigated Recreational Leaders view on the outdoor environment by reviewing a survey. Those who answered the survey find that the desire to use the outdoor environment exists; they think that the benefits of moving the teaching process outside are plenty. The children receive fresh air, they get to practise manual ability and gross motor functions, stay healthy and are able to use their imagination and creativity.

Drivet bakom klivet - en studie av drivkrafterna bakom steget från näringsliv till ideell sektor

The Swedish nonprofit sector is experiencing a sectoral change, moving closer to the corporate sector to become more commercialized. The recruitment of Leaders with corporate experience constitutes one of the factors influencing this development. Hence, to create an understanding of this sectoral change, the thesis aims to investigate the motivational forces underlying the Leaders' decisions to work within the nonprofit sector. Additionally, the thesis seeks an understanding of why the Leaders' decisions were made later in their careers. Through conducting qualitative interviews with Leaders representing top management of six humanitarian organizations in Sweden, the study finds that nonprofit Leaders with corporate background, analogous to volunteers and employees, are motivated by a sense of relatedness to the vision of the organization.

 The purpose of this case study was to view if there were any differences and similarities between Swedish and American female Leaders, with focus on the Swedish female Leaders. We also wanted to find out if the American female Leaders had problem whit the classcelling.Our case study is a quality method, because we wanted to reach the dep't that quality methods can reach. We interviewed four Swedish female Leaders and tried to get in touch whit American female Leaders but whit out any success. So instead we analyzed already existing research about the American female Leadership. Our result showed that there were some differences between the two countries; in the same time we also found similarities. The classcelling tends to exist more in Sweden than in the US.   .

Opion leaders and word-of-mouth - A Case Study of Masai Barefoot Technology

This research aims at identifying the opinion Leaders in order to study their behaviour, characteristics, their role within the word of mouth process, and what importance they have upon another consumers purchase decision. Also, to investigate the content of the message being spread. The results from the study show that opinion Leaders are strong in spreading word of mouth.
