Glukos och leucin som potentiellt hjälpmedel i återuppbyggandet av muskelglykogen efter hårt arbete hos travhästar

The aim of the project was to study the effect of oral administration of glucose and leucin on the resynthesis of muscle glycogen after intense Exercise in Standardbred trotters. In a crossover design, 11 Standardbred trotters performed a standardized Exercise test on two occasions in order to deplete muscle glycogen. The Exercise test comprised a warm up period, 7 repeated bouts of Exercise on an uphill 500 m slope, and a recovery period. After the Exercise test horses received: 1) a solution of glucose and leucine via a nasogastric tube at 0 minutes and at 240 minutes post Exercise and a single bout of glucose at 120 minutes post Exercise or 2) water (placebo) at 0, 120 and 240 minutes. Blood samples for measurement of glucose and insulin concentrations were collected at rest, when the horses returned to the stables directly after Exercise and throughout the 6 hour recovery phase. During the first recovery hour, samples were collected every 15 minutes and then every 30 minutes over the next 5 hours.

Konditionstester i rehabiliteringssammanhang : - En litteraturöversikt

During the past few years there has been an observed decrease in physical fitness within different patient groups. As a part of the rehabilitating physiotherapy treatment it is important to acknowledge the physical condition of the patient. Physical fitness testing might be difficult due to physical limitations within different patient groups. A broad range of Exercise tests is therefore of importance in clinical practice. The aim of this overview was to describe Exercise tests used in rehabilitation contexts, and to define areas of use and restrictions.

Fibromyalgi: sjukgymnastiska och närliggande behandlingsmetoder - en litteraturstudie

The cause of fibromyalgia has long been unknown but recent studies has shown that disturbance in the central pain modulation may be the cause. The aim of the study was to examine what kind of physiotherapy and close related treatment methods in the treatment of fibromyalgia there are and to determine their evidence. Articles were obtained by searching through the databases PubMed, Academic Search, AMED/Webspirs, CINAHL/webspirs and PEDro for articles published from 1994 and ten years forward. The study was based on thirty articles that met the criteria for inclusion. To assess the quality of the clinical studies the SBU?s evaluation model was used.

Arbetsprov i fält på ridhästar

Sport horses are widely used for performance in jumping, dressage, endurance etc. To enable comparisons of horses, training facilities, programs or physical status, an Exercise test can be used. Exercise tests are also important to increase knowledge about Exercise physiology of the horse considering different ways of training to compare training methods or individual qualities, development of an individual or other investigations of equine Exercise physiology. Since several investigations are done on standard- and thoroughbred horses but less on sport horses, it is of great importance to get an overview of the investigations done. Most common is to investigate heart rate and lactate concentration.

Lan File Share : Ett fildelningssystem åt Försvarsmakten

The Swedish Armed Force has a need to streamline the preparation of an Exercise in tactical training for soldiers because the preparation of an Exercise is currently laborious and time consuming when commanders manually share files to each computer that will be included in the Exercise. The degree project was to create a file sharing program within the internal network of the Defence Forces? international centre (Swedint). The program is used by the training management to effectively start up an Exercise where soldiers train tactical training in a simulated combat environment. The training management use this program to upload files to a server which notifies all the computers on the network to download these files.

En studie i att tillämpa Computational Thinking på grafteori

Computational thinking was brought to the forefront in 2006 by Jeannette Wing. Computational thinking is a problem solving method that uses computer science techniques. The thesis is analyzing computational thinking and how it could be applied to graph theory. Characteristics and main fields from computational thinking is being analysed. This analysis is applied to graph theory to see the potential in developing a proposal for how an Exercise can look for an introductory course in discrete data types. Only basic knowledge of graphs is required to perform the Exercise.

Rörelsens inverkan på barns inlärning : En studie om hur fysisk aktivitet påverkar barns inlärning utifrån ett fåtal lärare och elevers åsikter

The purpose of this investigation is to find out how the children?s Exercises affect their learning capabilities. With Exercise, I mean all kinds of movements, like physics, walks and games. The method I will use in this investigation is interviews, where I choose to interview both teachers and their pupils at a school which uses an Exercise-program called röris. Röris is an Exercise program which involves moving to music. I also choose to look at Bunkefloprojektet, were scientists has investigated how the power of concentration is affected by Exercise. My conclusion from the interviews and the literature is that I can?t prove that the children?s Exercises affect their learning capabilities.
