Driver hushållens skulder konsumtionen? : En jämförande studie av Sverige, Norge, Danmark och Finland

The Consumption levels in Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Norway have been rising fo r the last decade. Even after the financial crisis of 2008, Consumption levels continued their upward trend, regardless of the recession. The explanation seems to be, at least partly, that households tends to increase their debt ratio in order to continue the same standard of living as before in terms of Consumption. It is clear, based of our results, that there is a connection between increased Consumption and debt ratio for households. And the consequences of allowing loans to finance a sustained or increasing Consumption may ultimately be difficult to manage.

Kan konsumentförtroende användas för att prognostisera konsumtion i Sverige?

Making accurate predictions of private Consumption expenditures is a difficult task. This thesis examines if consumer confidence can be used to forecast Consumption. Using regression analysis, the link between consumer confidence and private Consumption expenditures is analyzed for Sweden between the years 1994 and 2005. Two different models are estimated. In the first model Consumption is regressed only on consumer confidence, while model two is extended to contain more variables.

NNN... Nostalgi: Om effekterna av nostalgi vid konsumtion

The presence of nostalgic emotions during Consumption is often seen as something purely positive to a product. To evoke these emotions has become a very common tool in marketing and advertising. Paradoxically very few studies have focused on the effects of nostalgia. The purpose of the thesis has been to understand how the presence of nostalgic emotions during Consumption effect consumers. The research model used is a quantitative study with testing of hypotheses generated from theory.

Vår Kokbok : En studie om den historiska utvecklingen inom matkonsumtion i Vår Kokbok

Swedish Consumption habits led to a discourse on Consumption needs of the general public during the first half of the 20th century, involving primarily several institutions, but also a variety of popular movement organizations, among which we find Kooperativa Förbundet. In this discourse, ascetic Consumption and a rationalized outlook on Consumption were idealized, as the Swedes needed to be economical not to live beyond their means. The objective of this study is to investigate the ideals this type of discourse conveys throughout the latter half of the 20th century. This will be achieved by investigating selected editions of the cookbook ?Vår Kokbok? published by Kooperativa Förbundet.

Effektivare ytterbelysning inom Karlstads Bostads AB :

This report is an inventory of the street lighting in half of the residential estates owned by Karlstad Bostads AB, a public housing company. The inventory was made to reduce the environmental impact of the street lighting. From the inventory an estimation of the total installed power and the energy Consumption was made. The total estimated power of the street lighting was 125 kW and the energy Consumption was 500 000 kWh/year with an estimated running time of 4 000 h/year. The dominating source of light was 125 W discharge mercury lamps.

Lånad Identitet - En kvalitativ studie om konsumenters inställning till tillgångsbaserad klädkonsumtion

Previous studies have shown that there exists a gap between purchase intention and behavior in Consumption situations. This gap is especially prevalent for sustainable or green products and even more so in terms of sustainable apparel Consumption. Therefore, the adoption of sustainable fashion remains low as fast fashion dominates the industry. A counter-movement for mass Consumption - access-based Consumption - has reached the apparel industry and in Sweden we see it in the form of clothing libraries. This qualitative thesis uses in-depth interviews to uncover the feelings of seven consumers towards the idea of accessing rather than owning their clothing as a more sustainable Consumption form, factoring in the strong identity connection that we have to our clothes and how this affects their perceptions.

Skotares bränsleförbrukning :

In published studies it is found that the fuel Consumption on a forwarder is relatively constant, on time basis. A certain variation between different sizes of forwarders occurs as well as between different working elements. The aim of the study was to establish a forwarders comparatively fuel Consumption when driving on road and in the terrain, loaded and unloaded, with high and low gear and with high and low speed as well as with hydrostatic and hydrodynamic transmission. A hypothesis was that low rpm gives lower fuel Consumption on distance basic, at all trials. The test driving was made with a Hemek 750 which is a three geared hydrostatic machine and with a Hemek 700 which is a hydrodynamic machine with six gears.

Kärnkraft : Ett arbete för drifttekniker?

The gas turbines in the Swedish secondary reserve are reaching the end of their technical lifetime, hence alternative solutions need to be considered. One of the solutions thought to have the greatest potential is the use of so called Consumptionreduction. By entering contracts with large consumers, agreements are made to reduce Consumption in the event of major disturbances in the power system and thus being used as a secondary reserve. This thesis investigates the feasibility of Consumption reduction as part of the secondary reserve. This has been achieved by developing a requirement specification for the disturbance reserve and by studying the technical and economic potential for Consumption reduction among a range of consumers. The technical potential for Consumption reduction that fulfils the requirements for participating in the secondary reserve are on average 750 MW in SE 3 and 98 MW in SE 4.

Könsskillnader i motiv för att dricka alkohol- en studie av studenter på en högskola i mellersta Sverige

The purpose of this study is to investigate the motives underlying the Consumption of alcohol among college students and if the motives differ between genders. The study is based on the following questions: What are the motives underlying alcohol Consumption among students? Do these motives differ between men and women? Is there any connection between the motives for alcohol Consumption and Consumption? The study is a quantitative, empirical comparison study and the data presented is mainly descriptive. The study group consists of students from a university in central Sweden. After an exclusion of five students a total of 81 students participated in the survey, of which 55 were female and 26 were male.

Miljömål 17: Hållbar konsumtion : Ett försök att integrera den svenska konsumtionens globala miljöpåverkan med miljömålssystemet

Environmental objective 17: Sustainable Consumption - An attempt to integrate the global impact of the Swedish Consumption with the environmental objectives system The aim of this report was to integrate the global impact of the Swedish Consumption withthe environmental objectives system through presenting a suggestion for a seventeenth environmental objective ? Sustainable Consumption. How the Swedish Consumption pressures the global environment and methods to measure the affects was investigated. The pressure was divided into five main fields: climate, air, water, land and chemicals. The impacton humans and the biodiversity was also discussed, as well as differences between how men and women affect the environment and get affected when the environment changes.

Hästköttskandalens konsumtionspåverkan : Konsumtion kopplat till miljörelaterade märkningar

The discovered horse meat scandal has had great impact in the media and given many question marks as to how consumers should be facing meat labels. In the survey made lead consumers to ask themselves, whether they think about their Consumption of reliable markings discovered at a risk and, if they have changed their Consumption habits since discovered horse meat scandal. The survey was carried out in a grocery store in Karlstad city central, where the results show consistent numbers. People do not like change, and in this case, do not like to change their Consumption patterns. The same patterns of Consumption before and after the horse meat scandal reflects the results but with only three respondents exception.

Relationen mellan universitetsstudenters alkoholkonsumtion, personlighet och boendesituation. : En studie om universitetsstudenters alkoholkonsumtion och relationen till neuroticism, extraversion, samvetsgrannhet samt boendesituation.

It is important to identify the consequences of alcohol Consumption among university students since over-Consumption can lead to health problems and poorer academic performance. The following personality factors, neuroticism, conscientiousness and extraversion, have in previous studies shown to be related to alcohol Consumption  and shown to be associated with the university students' alcohol use and living arrangements. This study examines the following question; Is there a link between university students' alcohol Consumption, and;1) the personality factors neuroticism, conscientiousness, extraversion?2) their living situation?3) personality factors and living situation together?Participating in this survey was one hundred university students with a mean age of 23.4 years (SD = 2.6). To examine participants' personality, alcohol Consumption and living arrangements, the NEO Five-Factor Inventory (Costa, McCrae, 2003) questionnaire was used and the questionnaire also contained self-constructed questions about drinking habits, living arrangements and demographic questions. This study's results indicate that neuroticism, conscientiousness, living situation and extraversion predicts alcohol Consumption (R2 = .354, p <.001). Thus, students who have these personality traits and circumstances one by one or together have a increased risk for alcohol over-Consumption..
