People in today?s society are becoming more and more aware of how important it is to use energy as efficiently as possible. This is clearly noticeable by an increase in home produced heat with e.g. solar panels or heat pumps heating systems. These changing customer demands forces district heating technology to be redesigned, which is why there is an ongoing research regarding the next generation of district heating - low temperature district heating (LTDH).

Detta examensarbete utfördes på Otis AB, en global tillverkare och underhållare av hissar, rulltrappor och rullband. Arbetet behandlar företagets reservdelshantering och de processer och rutiner som följer av denna.Otis genomförde under hösten 2010 en storskalig kundundersökning som visade att företaget inte lever upp till uppsatta mål rörande kundtillfredsställelse. Företaget har i sin strävan att öka kundernas tillfredställelse insett att en ökning av leveransservicen, den service ett företag kan erbjuda sina kunder vid leverans av varor och tjänster, är nödvändig. Detta är något som företaget tror kan uppnås genom en förändring av den nuvarande reservdelshanteringen. Examensarbetets huvudmål är således att genom att utforma en ny kostnadseffektiv reservdelshantering uppnå en ökning av den leveransservice som Otis kan erbjuda sina kunder.Det underlag som krävdes för utvecklandet av denna rapport har till viss del inhämtats från intervjuer och möten med personer anställda vid Otis Stockholmskontor i Solna.

A film can attract all kinds of emotions and moods of the audience through its audiovisual communications and cinematic expression, in which music plays a significant role in both understanding and interpretation of film content.It is interesting to explore the musical significance and the emotional aspect of the film out of a media and communications perspective and visual communications perspective because it?s a subject that belongs to the communications of scientific discipline as film is a media text which is working both as communicative and as audio-visual medium with its expressive aspects.The purpose of this bachelor?s paper is to increase and deepen the understanding of music's function and significant role in context with its reinforcing sense of visual expression in film. More specifically, it aims to explore the musical value of the expressive aspect of the media text in form of film musical Les Misérables (2012), which has been transmedialised from the novel of the same name, referring to the sound, music and song in relation to the film's visual expression.The research questions are at the core of the essay study: "how is music used to reinforce the cinematic visual expression?" and "how can music signify the narrative and highlight the emotional aspect of the film?" The theoretical framework is based on some of the key scholars assumptions such as Michel Chion (1994) and Claudia Gorbman (1987), who share the same theoretical views that the soundtrack seems powerful when it expresses its participation in a scene?s emotional moods as the music follows the scene?s rhythm, the image?s flow and contributes emotional and musical codes of emotions and expressions. According to Chion sound and image interact together to tell a story where sound enrich the image with expressive and informative values.

Syftet med studien är att öka vår förståelse för hur slöserier påverkar ett internt material och produktionsflöde i en producerande verksamhet, för att kunna ge förslag på effektiviseringar av denna process. Studien är utförd på företaget Växjöfabriken Produktions AB som är beläget i Växjö och utför skärande bearbetning på gjutgods. Efter att ha studerat befintliga teorier skapade vi vår teoretiska utgångspunkt med det urval av teorier som vi ansåg vara viktiga för studien. Från dessa genererade vi en analysmodell som sedan låg till grund för det fortsatta arbetet. Analysmodellen gav ett strukturerat arbetssätt för att samla in empirisk fakta från företaget som vi sedan använde för att göra en analyserande jämförelse med vår teoretiska utgångspunkt.

The last decades have shown increased nitrogen leeching from soil to water recipients. This is inSweden mainly due to over-manuring of agriculture land, effectivization of drainage systems and thedeclining extent of wetlands. The accumulated amount of nitrogen in water doesn?t only make itunsuitable for use by humans and cattle, but also decreases the biological diversity as well as negativelyaffect tourism and fish industry. In the most severe cases shallow maritime grounds can be completelydepleted of oxygen due to decomposition of the increased amount algae and plankton growth.This study have the aim to describe and quantify the nitrogen leeching from the Genevad drainagebasin, located in southern Halland, Sweden.

Arkitekttävlingar är ett moment inom arkitektprofessionen som handlar om att i en tävling med andra arkitekter åstadkomma det bästa förslaget på utformning, funktioner och användning av en plats eller byggnad. Vad krävs för att göra det? Den här kandidatuppsatsen skrevs på institutionen för stad och land, Sveriges lantbruksuniversitet under vårterminen 2013 med avsikt att lära sig mer om tävlingar, skapandet av högkvalitativa tävlingsförslag och hur man vinner arkitekttävlingar. Syftet var att genom en jämförande studie undersöka vad vinnande tävlingsförslag har gemensamt. Jämförelsen gjordes på fem vinnande tävlingsförslag som matchade tre kriterier. De skulle vara aktuella, från tävlingar huvudsakligen för landskapsarkitekter och med likartade tävlingsuppdrag gällande gestaltning av platser.

Today?s climate changes will probably give rise to precipitation in Sweden, which will cause more floods in Swedish rivers. Many of the Swedish rivers are regulated and have lots of hydro-electro power plants. Higher floods in the rivers will give greater water loads on the dams, which mean that a higher discharge through the sluice gates and in the spillway channels is needed. High discharge of water in a spillway channel can create scour of the material in the channel.

In the year 1800, about 5 % of the world population lived in cities (World Wide Fund for Nature, 2012, 3). Today that number is about 70 % in Europe and North America, and in 2050 it is expected to be 86 % in the developed world and 67 % in the developing world (www, UN, 2009). In addition, the global population is expected to increase with 2.2 billion people until 2050. As a result of the population increase more food has to be produced which requires more transport from the countryside to the cities. However, this flow of resources faces some difficulties.

Biobränsle har under de senaste åren övergått till att bli huvudbränslet för Sveriges kraftvärmeverk, vilket har medfört ett antal utmaningar. Detta då kraftvärmeverken dels har stora volymbehov av jämn och kontinuerlig tillförsel av bränsle till pannan, dels små ytor för mottagning och hantering av biobränsle. Detta har ökat behovet av ett jämnt tillflöde över tiden samt en hög tillförlitlighet gällande leveranserna. Ryaverket är Borås Energi och Miljö AB:s största produktionsenhet när det gäller produktion av fjärrvärme, el och fjärrkyla. Kraftvärmeverket drivs främst med bioenergi och avfall.

Title: The key to the positive spiral - A study of musicians views of their practicing. The purpose with this paper is to make clear how continuous practicing on one element affects not just the specific part but also other things. Is it possible to find a positive spiral where everything can be better if you focus your practicing on one thing? Can this element if it is done daily in a qualitative way transform to a key which will help you to unlock the door to the positive spiral? Are there more keys to find? I am going to reflect my ideas in this paper through a philosophical, psychological and the brain sciences perspective. Quality in action is going to be compared with the quality that you need to set a successful goal, and to reach the state of mind called flow you will need both these qualities.

AbstractBakgrund: När människor tar del av nyheter via sociala medier som Twitter och Facebook ärdet möjligt för andra användare i de sociala medierna att påverka uppfattningen av innehållet.Det kan exempelvis ske genom att lyfta fram, tona ned, omtolka eller omgestalta nyheterna.Hur detta sker och vad det får för konsekvenser för hur människor uppfattar nyheterna hartidigare inte undersökts. Dessutom saknas det kunskaper om vilka nyheter från massmediernasom sprids i social medier, i synnerhet i Sverige.Syfte: Beskriva och jämföra vilka nyheter som sprids i sociala medier (Facebook och Twitter)samt undersöka de psykologiska orsakerna till varför de sprids vidare.Metod: Artiklar (N = 89 450) från de tolv största svenska nyhetssajterna under två månader ibörjan av 2014 undersöktes hur de spreds på Facebook och Twitter med en kvantitativinnehållsanalys. Två oberoende experiment (N = 311) undersökte effekten av kritik på nyheter, inbäddade i Twittermeddelanden, samt effekten av antalet retweets (vidarebefordringar) på fortsatt vidarespridning.Resultat: Majoriteten av de mest delade artiklarna på Twitter handlade om ett fåtal ämnen (rasism, extremism, feminism och välfärd). 17 procent av artiklarna hade delats minst tio gånger på Facebook eller Twitter. Artiklar delades i regel tio gånger mer på Facebook än på Twitter.

The management of water resources and waste water varies between the countries of the EU. For many years, a large part of the water in Europe has been contaminated by, among other things, insufficiently treated waste water and emissions from agriculture. The EU Water Framework Directive 2000/60/EC and the Urban Waste Water Directive 91/271/EEC are intended to harmonize fresh-water management and waste water management within the whole EU, aiming at safeguarding drinking water of good quality and a high quality of all water within the EU today and in the future. There are however some problems concerning the waste-water directive. One problem is the huge investment needed in Slovakia to fulfil the demands of the waste-water directive for waste-water management in larger communities (with more than 2000 inhabitants).

Running water-pathways have played an important roll in Sweden and frequently been manipulated. One profound change was made during the period of logging when streams were cleared from obstacles as big boulders, sharp bends and side-streams. Dams and different constructions gave control of the stream water and the streams became channel-like with a homogen structure. This interference gave problems for many fish populations and resulted in a shortage of feeding habitat, over-wintering habitat, spawning habitat, unnatural flow regimes, sedimentation, unnatural temperature fluctuations. Many of these historical changes of the watersheds are now subjects for restoration, ie., bring back the streams to what we believed it was before the change. However, what once existed in terms of complexity is now gone and difficult toreplace.

Utifrån mitt djupa intresse inför människors beteenden, idéer och upplevelseransåg jag det intressant att studera vilka upplevelsekvalitéer jag kunde identifiera hos deltagare inom kommersiell upplevelseproduktion. Min litteraturstudie visar att människors beteenden har förändrats i och med en ökad välfärd och numera söker många efter ett liv fyllt av mer krävande och äventyrliga friluftsaktiviteter. Ett ökat intresse för naturen och utomhusaktiviteter gör att det idag bedrivs många olika typer av kommersiella klätterproduktioner utomhus som är upplevelseinriktade. Den teoretiska referensramen innehåller tidigare forskning om klättring, samhällsekonomi, sociologi och upplevelsepsykologi. Motivet för detta examensarbete är att med klippklättring som perspektiv skapa en förståelse inför komplexiteten i fenomenet kommersiell upplevelseproduktion.
