Bakgrund till uppsatsen: I Sverige råder det en löneskillnad mellan könen för lika ellerlikvärdigt arbete varför kvinnor och män har olika förutsättningar och möjligheter i såväl arbets- som privatliv.Syfte: Syftet är att undersöka hur några tjänstemän inom ett antal strategiskt valda organisationer ser på jämställdhet i arbetslivet, samt vilken syn de har på vad som orsakar ojämställda löner. Ettytterligare syfte är att undersöka dessa tjänstemäns syn på hur jämställda löner kan uppnås och var ansvaret för att lönerna blirjämställda finns. Slutligen att undersöka tjänstemännens uppfattning om vilka argument det kan finnas för ojämställda löner.Frågeställningar: -Vilken uppfattning har dessa tjänstemän om betydelsen avjämställdhet i arbetslivet?-Vilken är tjänstemännens syn på orsakerna till varför lönerna är ojämställda?-Vad upplever tjänstemännen behöver göras för att uppnå jämställda löner?-Vad/vem uppfattar tjänstemännen bär ansvaret för att uppnå jämställda löner?-Vilken uppfattning har tjänstemännen om vilka argument det kan finnas för ojämställda löner?Metod: Till insamlingen av data har vi använt oss av en kvalitativ metodbestående av sex intervjuer. Respondenterna representerar Sveriges industriarbetarförbund, Lärarnas Riksförbund, Sveriges Kommuner och Landsting, Svenskt Näringsliv,Landsorganisationen och Jämställdhetsombudsmannen.Huvudresultat: Att lönerna i Sverige är ojämställda beror på flera faktorerdäribland familjebildning, könssegregerad arbetsmarknad, genusorättvisor, tradition och diskriminering.

This thesis is carried out on behalf of watermixer manufacturer Ostnor AB in Mora.The thesis deals with the area of Article Bound Instructions (ABI) at the company'sassembly department, regarding the layout and management routines involved withthese instructions.In the current situation there are problems with no uniformity in the manner in whichthe ABI is written, then referred to both the civil structure, images and specificityrates in the text.Another problem is that operators do not make use of the ABI that are available inthe current situation, and that there are no clear procedures for who has theresponsibility to write, update and change these ABI.During this work has several people that were identified as key personnel of thethesis held in order to get a handle on how the current situation of the variousobjects of the work looks like, and to examine different desires about the future ofthese should look like from the different subjects perspectives been interviewed.During the work, a number of deficiencies, including that the current program that isused to write the ABI, Lotus Notes, do not possess near the prerequisites for being asimple program to deal with when writing the ABI, which is a condition since wishesare about to put the responsibility for the ABI generation to the departmentsoperators, since their main task is to assemble and do not bother with a program in acomputer.The result of this work has generated new layout and structure of the ABI, designedto be used continuously in the assembly for evaluation, routines regardingresponsibility of the ABI for the Department of Production Engineering (PT),procedures for how the ABI should be written regarding amount of detaileddescriptions in the text and use of pictures.In addition, proposals for further work and improvements has been developed basedon experience during the work and presented at the end of the report..

Terroristattackerna mot USA i september 2001 blev startskottet för USA:s krig mot terrorismen. I detta krig kom Afghanistan att utgöra det första slagfältet. Detta trots att USA ansåg att de ansvariga bakom dåden var terroristnätverket al-Qaida. USA försökte med olika medel rättfärdiga ett krig som skulle föras mot en organisation men i en stat, vilkens regim misstänktes härbärgera de skyldiga. Uppsatsens syfte är således att undersöka hur denna nya typ av krig rättfärdigas.

The aim of this Master?s thesis is to examine librarian images and stereotypes in Swedish and American fiction, and to discover if there are any differences between these. The images and stereotypes are also compared to those revealed in previous research. The study is based on ten novels. Five of these are written by Swedish authors and portrays Swedish librarians.

Konflikten om Arktis är idag högst aktuell eftersom efterforskningar om möjligheter till anspråk på Arktis pågår i skrivande stund. Området Arktis har länge varit ett område förskonat från konflikter, då det har utgjorts en plats som inte varit värd att kämpa om. I dagsläget gör fem stater anspråk på Arktis, Ryssland, Kanada, Norge, Danmark och USA. Syftet med uppsatsen har varit att undersöka vilka anspråk de olika staterna har på Arktis, och med vilket argument som de olika staterna anser sig ha rätten till Arktis. Vidare studeras huruvida deras anspråk är förenliga med de internationella lagar som finns.

Bakgrund och problem: Varulagret hos handelsföretag inom konfektionsbranschen är oftasten mycket omfattande och väsentlig post i deras omsättningstillgångar. Detta innebär atteventuella felvärderingar kan få en stor påverkan på resultatet. Därför är det viktigt att värderavarulagret med försiktighet. Det finns ett antal problem vid värdering av varulager och dessaär sammankopplade med de redovisningsval som företag gör. Handelsföretag inomkonfektionsbranschen är särskilt känsliga vid värdering av sina varulager då deras varor styrsav trender, väderlek och säsongsvariation.

We wanted to know how the subject HIV/AIDS was handled in the Indian newspaper The Hindu, which is written in English, during a period of 16 days (30 October-14 November) in 2005 compared to the corresponding period during 2007. Because we liked to study what kind of differences there were in the reporting between these two years. In addition we also wanted to learn how people living with HIV and AIDS are represented in pictures and text. To find out this was the purpose with this investigation.The study is made from the theory of stigma, semiotics and from a professional model of the normative theory. The articles about HIV/AIDS were quantitatively analyzed with help of a schedule of codes and we performed a qualitative analysis on several articles, four from 2005 and four from 2007.

This master thesis work was done by two students at Machine Design at KTH for Lesjöfors Stockholmsfjäder AB. The task was to develop a calculation program for gas springs. The program is going to ease the selection of gas springs for a given case of a lid that should be opened. The program is going to be used internal by sales people at Lesjöfors AB in Sweden and internationally. The program is therefore written in English.The program was developed in Microsoft Visual C# 2008 Express Edition.

 This essay is a study of whether Japan is secularized on an individual level or not. It is written with the aim of examining if secularization on an individual level has taken place in Japan, and if so, is it possible to make a comparison to Europe and the USA.Key words: Japan, Secularization.

The study is a qualitative textual analysis comparing how two newspapers fromSmåland reacted to Nazi Germany during the interwar period. The purpose of the studyis to illustrate how newspapers' political orientation may influence its content. Theexamined material is limited to letters to the editor, editorials and columns. The twopapers are of different political orientations, Smålänningen is bourgeois andKronobergaren is social democratic. The theoretical basis is founded in Klas Åmarksperspective on Sweden's position in the war, the so-called small state realistic paradigmand the moral perspective, as well all Kosellecks theory about the written word.

Bakgrund och problemdiskussion Sedan 1988 har revision varit obligatorisk för samtliga aktiebolag i Sverige. Nu vill EU harmonisera medlemsländernas lagstiftning och en del i detta är att minimera revisionen i syfte att förenkla redovisningen för små bolag. Trots att inga större konsekvenser av revisionspliktens avskaffande i Danmark 2006 har observerats upplever FAR SRS en oro för att kvaliteten kommer att minska när revisionsplikten avskaffas i Sverige. Debatten kring revisionspliktens avskaffande har tagit upp att FAR SRS oro kan vara befogad. Detta med tanke på den bristande etik och moral som redan finns hos företagen.

Empress Livia ? Murderer or wrongfully accused?An overview of the ancient sources on the empress Livia and what that suggests that shemurdered her husband Emperor Augustus and his adoptive children to make way for herown son Tiberius as the emperor of Rome.This work will analyze the ancient roman sources by the great historians from that time;Tacitus, Suetonius and Cassius Dio, and their works discussing the murder conspiracy of theempress of Rome; Livia.Here I examine what these ancient sources tell about the possible involvement of Livia, on thedeath of Augustus himself and his adoptive sons. Each author to these ancient sources will beexamined and contextualized according to their contemporary time, but also their political andideological views of women in high position and Ceasarism itself. Their characteristics andstyles of their written account will also be examined.The following issues will be dealt with in this work:? What does the ancient sources of; Tacitus, Suetonius and Cassius Dio say about theconspiracy theory in which empress Livia is central.? What is known about the authors of these ancient sources and to what extant mighttheir political and ideological view affect their written account?? Can the allegations directed at Livia be the result of the fact that she was a highlyinfluential woman at her time, something which the ancient authors by romanstandards saw as unfit for a woman, and therefore is mistreated in the written sources?? If so, were all women with power under the same time and circumstances criticized inthe same way in which Livia is portrayed?? Are there any other aspects that have not been treated equally in the past by authorsand researchers, in which new questionable guidelines can be made?As is very important to point out, this work and essentially all others alike will not evenassume to solve the final question if empress Livias was guilty or not of murdering herhusband, Emperor Augustus and/or his adoptive sons.

Organizations over the world increasingly start to realize the possibilities of the use of a social intranet, also known as Enterprise 2.0. The social intranets can be used to collaborate and communicate with colleagues in the workplace. Both Cook (2008) and Coope (Barnett, 2011) say that Enterprise 2.0 is about to fundamentally change the way organizations communicate. But do companies know how these tools can be used?The study emanates from three questions:How can social intranets be used in business?How can internal communication and collaboration get easier through the use of a social intranet?What are the possible risks with the use of social intranets?In this study we have in a qualitative manner been interviewing two companies that currently use social intranets in their daily activities ? Securitas and Skåneme-jerier.

I den inledande fasen till denna studie läste författarna en magisteruppsats ifrån Lunds Universitet. Uppsatsen behandlade just ämnet kvarboendeprincipen, men med perspektiv utifrån människans elementära behov. Författaren till uppsatsen presterade en mycket omfattande studie med tyngd i människans sociologiska och fysiologiska önskemål och behov i senare delen av livet. Under avsnittet ?Förslag till vidare forskning? föreslog författaren att det vore intressant att undersöka kommunerna och deras argument vad gäller kvarboendeprincipen och om det finns konkreta handlingsplaner i dessa argument.

The aim of this master?s thesis is to examine how male and female stereotypes are used to describe the characters in modern detective stories for children. We have analyzed six books in the aforementioned genre written for children between the ages of 9 and 12. This essay examines which inner qualities, appearances, activities and professions are used to describe the persons? character in the analyzed books and if these stereotypes agree with the person?s biological sex.
