Today it is mandatory for every college or university student to pay a union fee to their student?s union. The fee is mandatory and is a payment for writing examinations, receiving grades. The fees purpose is also intended to secure the education quality and student influence. In the presence of the abolishment of the union fee the Swedish student?s unions stand before an uprising competition between themselves and most likely a decrease in membership.

Bruket av tobak har idag blivit en viktig folkhälsofråga eftersom rökning och snusning har negativa effekter på såväl allmänhälsa som munhälsa. Trots det röker nästan var fjärde svensk kvinna och var femte svensk man. Syftet med den här studien var att kartlägga tobaksvanorna bland förstaårsstudenterna på sjuksköterske-, tandhygienist- och folkhälsopedagogiska programmet samt att undersöka vilka kunskaper studenterna på respektive program har om tobak och dess effekter i munhålan. Studien genomfördes som en enkätundersökning där 121 enkäter delades ut till studenterna på de tre programmen. Resultatet visade att 7% av studenterna var dagligrökare och 17% var feströkare.

ABSTRACTParental support is needed because it promotes a positive development in children, because parents ask for it and because it has positive effects on the public economy. Those responsible in Sweden for Child health care have shown an increased interest in supporting parenthood.Aim: The overall purpose of this study was to investigate what kind of support parents today desire from child health care. An additional purpose was to investigate if they feel their needs and wishes are met.Method: The study has a descriptive and qualitative design. The selection was eight parents of children under eighteen months of age: four mothers and four fathers. None of the participants were couples.

In order to experience psychosocial wellbeing well working interpersonal relations and a belief in the future is important. School is an important aspect of the student?s early years in life and therefore it is vital that school health services become important part of the childhood. The school nurse is an important part of student health and he or she is responsible for vaccinations and health check-ups.

Bakgrund: Barnfetma är idag ett världsomfattande problem. Överviktiga barn och ungdomar har större risk att bland annat utveckla diabetes typ II och hjärt- och kärlsjukdomar. Syfte: Belysa arenor för prevention och promotion mot övervikt och fetma bland barn och ungdomar mellan 7-17 år. Metod: Studien som gjorts är en litteraturstudie. Databaser som användes var PubMed, SweMed+ och Cinahl och artiklarna analyserades genom en temaanalys. Resultat: Studier visade att främst på arenor som skolan, hemmet och samhället kan övervikt och fetma förebyggas bland barn och ungdomar.

The aim of this master?s thesis is to investigate the value and impact that reading groups organized by Swedish Public Libraries, have on its participants, role of the librarian and the Library as whole, according to librarian?s conceptions. In literature and earlier research reading groups are described to represent an important reader pro-motion tool for Public Libraries. At the same time the typical reading group member is often described as a per-son with a familiarity of reading. Another purpose is therefore to investigate the contribution of reading groups in promoting reading, according to librarian?s conceptions.

Background: The oral health is a problem for many people with psychical disabilities. The reason for that is among other things that the psychical disabilities could do it hard to handle fundamental routines in the everyday life. Aim: The aim of the literature review was to describe how the nursing staff experienced their situation about their work with oral health in persons with psychical disabilities. Method: The study has been done as an overview and the data has been analysed with content analysis. Result: Two head categories were identified; barrier that influence the ability to perform the work with oral health and barrier that influence the performance of the work with oral health.

ABSTRACTBackground:To work irregular hours, so called shift work, involves a greater risk to develop bad health compared to work daytime. The society today requires availability 24-hours per day which makes shiftwork necessary. We have to find a way to make shift working people remain at a good health.Purpose:The purpose of this study was to examine the self estimated health of shift workers. This study concerns significant differences between self estimated health and: main reason for shiftwork, possibility to decide what to do at work and possibility to decide how to perform work tasks.Method:A cross sectional study was performed in four companies in industrial manufacturing, printing business and service business in the community of Örebro. 113 questionnaires were delivered and 71 persons filled the questionnaires and returned them, the reply fervency were 65 %.Results:In this population almost 80 % of the participants declared their health good, very good or excellent and no one declared their health as poor.

The ever-changing modern health care environment places high demands on leadership skills. The purpose of this study was to describe the causes that effect leadership within the health care services carried out in a municipality. Data was collected by interviewing four health care managers, three registered nurses, eight enrolled nurses and one auxiliary nurse. A qualitative approach based on a content analysis method was conducted in the analysis of the interviews. Latent content deals with relationship aspects and interpretation of deeper underlying meaning of text.

Lack of balance between demands and the ability to handle the workload can lead to reduced work satisfaction, which is an important component for an individual?s performance and commitment. The aim is to investigate experiences in the employee?s psychosocial working environment during change management.

Bakgrund Forskningen om lärares arbetssituation har mestadels utgått från det patogena synsättet och identifierat problem och riskfaktorer. Därför behövs det mer salutogen forskning som lyfter fram hälsoskapande faktorer och uppmärksammar samt ger underlag för att utveckla goda arbetssätt och arbetsformer. Dessa kan sedan underlätta arbetet och därigenom förbättra hälsan och välbefinnandet i arbetslivet för lärare. Syfte Syftet med studien var att utifrån teorin om känsla av sammanhang (KASAM) identifiera arbetsrelaterade faktorer och processer som lärare uppfattar som stärkande och hälsofrämjande. Metod Tre fokusgruppsintervjuer, varav en i en gymnasieskola och två i en grundskola i södra Sverige, genomfördes med sammanlagt tio lärare. Materialet analyserades med deduktiv innehållsanalys med teorin om känsla av sammanhang som analysmatris. Resultat Arbetsrelaterade specifikt stärkande resurser för lärare har identifierats och analyserats in i KASAM-teorins tre komponenter begriplighet, hanterbarhet och meningsfullhet. Meningsfullhet finns inbyggd i lärarnas uppdrag.

Background: In studies about Romani people?s health, it becomes clear that the Romani inseveral countries have a poor health and avoid seeking health care.Objective: The purpose of this study was to explore Romani men's experiences of treatmentin the Swedish health care.Method: A qualitative interview study was conducted with respondents about theirexperiences in individual interviews. Seven male Romanis were elected with a purposefulsample. A content analysis by systematic text condensation on the data obtained was made asdescribed by Granheim & Lundman (2004).Results: The summed up impressions of the responses was perceived to be good, however,many men believe that the information is inadequate. Mer än 200 miljoner barn i skolåldern är överviktiga. I skolan har skolsköterskan en viktiguppgift att identifiera barn med övervikt i ett tidigt skede. Syftet med litteraturstudien var attbeskriva skolsköterskans möjligheter och begränsningar i det hälsofrämjande arbetet gällandeövervikt och fetma hos skolbarn i åldern 6-12. Metoden var systematisk litteraturstudie meddeduktiv ansats. Studien innefattade 13 artiklar som analyserades med kvalitativinnehållsanalys.
