Våga vara ung chef, en studie om skillnader i chefers välbefinnande och arbetskrav

Syftet med den här uppsatsen var att få en förbättrad förståelse av hur unga chefer upplever sitt arbete inom offentlig sektor och hur det psykiska välbefinnandet påverkas av arbetsbelastningen. Undersökningen har gjorts utifrån semistrukturerade intervjuer med fyra enhetschefer om deras upplevelser av arbetskrav samt psykiska välbefinnande där analysprocessen samt grunden för studien följer den fenomenologiska ansatsen. Resultatet visar utifrån chefernas upplevelser att det finns starka samband att det psykiska välbefinnandet påverkas negativt av för hög arbetsbelastning. De tydliga faktorer som skapar ohälsan är arbetsansvaret, arbetstiderna och också de höga ambitioner som chefer kan ha. Studien konstaterar hur yngre chefer har större tendens till stressrelaterade sjukdomar till följd av arbetspressen som unga chefer anses ha.

The use of information technology (IT) is exploding. Today, it is in our daily routines to use some kind of information technology. The increase of users increases the number of cyber crimes, ie, crimes that in some way involve IT. As the cyber crimes grow in numbers, the Workload for technical investigator increases, these are called digital crime investigators. The thesis is about how police digital crime investigators work and what problems they may encounter during an investigation.

Sjuksköterskors upplevelse av stress i arbetsmiljön

Studies have shown that stress is common in the nursing profession.Purpose: The aim was to investigate nurses' experience of stress in the work environment at the University Hospital in Uppsala and how nurses deal with this stress and whether the perceived stress experienced affect patient safety and in what way. Method: The study had a descriptive, qualitative design based on nine interviews. The selection criteria for the study was that participants were nurses and that they had worked at least one year within the profession and that they had experienced stress in their work environment. Data from the interviews was analyzed using the qualitative content analysis method by Graneheim and Lundman. Results: The analysis resulted in three categories: "Stress in the workplace?, "stress management" and "patient safety? and showed that all participants had experienced stress repeatedly in their workplaces.

Administration ombord : - En kvalitativ studie om den administrativa situationen ombord på svenska Ro-Pax fartyg

Vi har i detta arbete undersökt hur arbetssituation, med hänseende på de administrativa arbetsuppgifterna, ser ut för befälhavare inom den svenska handelsflottan och hur arbetssituationen har förändrats sedan införandet av ISMkoden. Det talas mycket inom sjöfartsbranschen om de ökade administrativa arbetsuppgifterna ombord och hur detta har påverkat arbetssituationen. Detta fick oss att vilja undersöka hur det egentligen ser ut och i vilken utsträckning en eventuell förändring har påverkat arbetssituationen både ombord och iland. Vi har i vår undersökning intervjuat befälhavare och rederirepresentanter på fyra Ro-Pax-rederier som trafikerar svenska hamnar om hur deras arbetssituation har förändrats under de senaste 15 åren med hänseende på den administrativa delen av arbetet. Undersökningen visar att det administrativa arbetet har ökat markant både ombord och iland, framförallt som ett resultat av nya regelverk och förbättrade möjligheter till kommunikation mellan fartygen och landorganisationen.

Arbetsförmedlarens arbetssituation i förändring - en studie av ett pilotprojekt om förbättrad service

This study has been executed at the Public Employment Office, an institution that has beensubject for much debate during the last couple of years. The government has instructed theLabour Market Board to change the Public Employment Office toward a more effectiveorganization. This study examines one of the Public Employment Offices that are included in apilot project that aims to improve and develop work methods with the objective to become amore service minded organization. From this starting point we have investigated which effect thisorganizational change has had on the employee within this organization and within the pilotproject. In addition we investigate whether attitudes of the unemployed has an effect on thestaff´s work situation.

Att planera ett storskaligt krishanteringsprojekt : En fallstudie om MSB:s ebolainsats i Västafrika 2014-2015

In 2014-2015 a large-scale Ebola epidemic occurred in West Africa. The Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency was given the order to conduct the Swedish response. The purpose of this case study was to investigate the impact on project planning of the three factors: the nature of the crisis, political initiative and developing countries. In this case study the crisis was an epidemic, and the project was initiated by the Swedish Government and conducted in two developing countries. The results were intended to contribute to developed understanding and recommendations for future project managers in similar projects.

The purpose with this report is to give structure to the storage area betweenproduction and packaging at Spaljisten AB in Åseda. The purpose is also to givesuggestions for improvements of work tasks and thereby simplify and improve thematerial handling at the packing process.The background of the task is that Spaljisten AB is going to increase theirproduction and thereby they also need to increase the packing rate of theirproducts. They will manage this by installing a new automated packing line andincrease the efficiency of the old manual one. The theoretical background ismostly obtained from literature which contains relevant facts for our report.The storage area has been studied visually in order to search for improvements oftoday?s layout.

En fallstudie inom en organisation av Security Operations Center (SOC): Utmaningar och utforskning av Agil och Traditionell metodik : A Case Study in a Security Operations Center (SOC) Organization: Challenges and exploration of Agile and Traditional Meth

This study focuses on a specific organization of a Security Operations Center (SOC) as a case studyto first identify specific challenges related to the work process, preceding with identifying whichprinciples from various process models, such as agile and traditional methodologies from softwaredevelopment companies, can be implemented. Initially, the study presents relevant research on agile and traditional process models as well asresearch on SOC. Subsequently, six semi-structured interviews are planned and conducted withemployees within a specific SOC-type organization to identify the current work process and thechallenges affecting the organization?s work process. The results of this study indicate a description of the current work process in the organization aswell as a variety of challenges related to technical and organizational issues.

Aim: The aim of this study was to describe the nurse?s work at an emergency department trough a perspective of caring.Method: A literature review has been made of twelve studies published between the years of 2002 ? 2012. The focus of all the studies was on Swedish emergency departments.  Results: The researchers found four themes that they choose to use as a way of describing the nurses work in the emergency room as detailed as possible. These themes were: ?The emergency room?, ?the nurse?s job assignments at an emergency department?, ?the patient?s experiences? and ?lifeworld and communication?.

Adaptive QoS Management in Dynamically Reconfigurable Real-Time Databases

During the last years the need for real-time database services has increased due to the growing number of data-intensive applications needing to enforce real-time constraints. The COMponent-based Embedded real-Time database (COMET) is a real-time database developed to meet these demands. COMET is developed using the AspeCtual COmponent-based Real-time system Development (ACCORD) design method, and consists of a number of components and aspects, which can be composed into a number of different configurations depending on system demands, e.g., Quality of Service (QoS) management can be used in unpredictable environments. In embedded systems with requirementson high up-time it may not be possible to temporarily shut down the system for reconfiguration. Instead it is desirable to enable dynamic reconfiguration of the system, exchanging components during run-time.

It is importantthat this equipment can be used by different people. An operator on a military vesselshall be able to handle information about hostile threats, navigation and the steering ofunmanned vehicles. A operator console should therefore be constructed in such a waythat the operator can handle a large flow of information.
