Denna uppsats behandlar det kommunala utjämningssystemet. Dagens system består av en inkomstutjämningsdel, kostnadsutjämningsdel, ett strukturbidrag och en regleringspost, som antingen kan bli bidrag eller avgift beroende på hur mycket pengar staten anslår till systemet. Till detta har använts teorin om konkurrensproblemet, olika teorier om vad kommunerna bör göra, varför kommunerna bör finnas och hur de skall finansiera verksamheten. Två kommuner har valts ut, Vellinge och Trelleborg, för att i två fallstudier studera effekten av systemet för den enskilda kommunen. Slutsatsen är att i dagsläget behövs utjämningssystemet för annars träder konkurrensproblemet till.

This two years master?s thesis consists of a domain analysis on the local Swedish newspaper Gefle Dagblad (GD). The domain analysis was developed by the Danish library and information scientist Birger Hjørland. The purpose of this theory is to understand the information behavior of individuals by studying the social and collec-tive context which surrounds this person. According to Hjørland, four different areas need to be studied in order to analyze a domain.

This study aims to find more knowledge about preschool teachers? point of view on the situation of children living in economic hardship and how it affects them at the preschool. With economic hardship becoming more frequent and common amongst families with young children we find the subject important and in need of more attention. Studies have proven the negative effects of poverty on children?s development and health and since the preschool is a big part of children?s everyday life the study aims to see what perspectives practitioners have on the issue and how they plan activities and learning situations based on the needs of these children.

Uppsatsen analyserar nyintroduktionerna på Stockholmsbörsen mellan 1992 och 1995 och deras prissättning och värdeutveckling på 10 års sikt i syfte att undersöka hur kapitalmarknaden historiskt sett har lyckats med att marknadsprissätta företag som har sökt sig till börsen. Central för analysen är hypotesen om informationseffektivitet vid prissättningen av nyintroduktioner och den därav följande värdeutvecklingen. Resultaten påvisar inga systematiska avvikelser ifrån de förväntade avkastningarna enligt CAPM. Informationen om nyintroduktion i kombination med egenskapar som MV, P/B, betavärden, börsklimat under introduktionsåret eller branschtillhörighet räcker inte för att framgångsrikt tillämpa aktiva handelsstrategier som realiserar signifikanta överavkastningar under något av de 10 åren som följer på nyintroduktionen eller över hela livslängden upp till 10 år..

I denna uppsats undersöks om marknadsrisken och storleken på företagen har en betydelse på investerarnas placeringshorisonter samt om vårt innehav i testportföljen är representativ för den genomsnittliga investeraren. Studieperioden som undersöks sträcker från början av 1999 fram till slutet av 2003. Resultaten konstaterar att marknadsrisken har högst signifikans betydelse där högre risk föranleder till kortare investeringsperiod medan effekterna från börsvärdet indikerar att en investering i storföretag leder till att innehavsperioden blir längre dock med en svagare betydelse för denna variabel. Dessutom visas att vårt aktieinnehav är karakteristisk för den genomsnittliga investeraren och att investeraren har varit riskundvikare och kan således inte beskyllas för kortsiktigheten på aktiemarknaden..

Vårt syfte med uppsatsen är att undersöka om det empiriskt går att påvisa lönsamhet i det nya pensionssystemet dvs. premiepensionen. Med andra ord vill vi undersöka lönsamheten med ett aktivt pensionssparande enligt ekonomisk vedertagen teori. Undersökningsdata omfattar samtliga 854 pensionsfonder som funnits från starten 2000-11-02 till 2004-12-30. Vi har utifrån historisk data tagit fram den lägsta variansfonden för att använda den som riskfri fond i Sharpekvoten.

Sense of coherence amongst employees with reduced work-capacity at Samhall.Sanela Jakupovic TrostekScientific essay in public health, 15 hp, Academy of Health and promoting Working Life, University of GävleThe aim of this study was to examine how employees at Samhall who has reduced work-capacity experienced their sense of coherence (SOC). The study includes gender, age and civil status in the analysis. The study includes 34 respondents which are divided as 20 men and 14 women. To measure SOC a quantitative method with a 29 standardized questionnaire was used.It was found that the employees felt, in general, low SOC, which means more difficult adaptation to their life situation. Noteworthy is that 70 % of the men in this study showed low SOC compared to 35,7 % of the women.One conclusion that can be drawn is that within Samhall, it showed that women had a higher SOC mean value than men which means they are more equipped to handle, understand and find meaning in their work life. Keywords: Antonovsky, Samhall, disability, work-capacity, sense of coherence (SOC).

The intention with this essay has been to examine how the public instances working with cultural heritage in Sweden deals with the housing built under the period of the so called miljonprogrammet (?the million programme?) during 1965-75. The interest in the built environment from the 1960s and 70s has increased in the last ten years within the field of cultural heritage. The purpose with this study is to examine which cultural values that are assigned to the housing of the million programme. The purpose is also, as mentioned before, to study how the field of cultural heritage deals with this type of built environment.

The background to this report is the author?s ambition to understand individuals? work situation, how it?s formed in interaction between the individual and factors in the work-setting. Such an ambition is well in line with the concept of Human-Technology-Organization (HTO), a cross-scientific approach that puts a system-oriented perspective on how human, technolog-ical and organizational factors interact within work systems.The aim of this report was to explore managers? work-situation and generate an understanding of it from an HTO-perspective by using an organizational model as a framework for an interview guide and to analyze the work situation from an HTO-perspective following the ques-tions at issue:1. The thesis strives to reveal the dynamics between a central and a peripheral shopping area in Kalmar, Sweden. The establishment of larger shopping centers has become a hallmark of postindustrial cities. Cities globally are at risk of creating an urban economic rift between the central and peripheral shopping areas. By establishing major shopping venues around the traditional central business districts, cities hope to create a larger customer hinterland and thereby also increased economic growth. The aim of this thesis is answered by two research questions regarding collaboration and competition between two shopping areas; the central Kvarnholmen and peripheral Hansa City Mall.

The Picture book - text and image in interaction. A study of Tove Jansson's picturebook: The Book About Moomin, Mymble and Little MyThis study examines Tove Jansson's picture book The Book About Moomin, Mymbleand Little My, to show relationships between text and image in the narration of thestory. This is done through an analysis based on Ulla Rhedins dissertation The picturebook - towards a theory where the conclusion is that the picture book as book mediumcan be divided in three different picture concepts. The various concepts are; the epicpicture book, the expanding text as well as the genuine picture book. This study hasperformed a text and image analysis showing that the image colors, the differentspreads, landscape scenes and characters' placement, et cetera play a role in placingthe picture book in its concept.Tove Jansson used more than text and image to work out the story of theMoomintroll, Mymble and Little My, there are holes in the picture book that have animportant role, which the analysis will show.

The overall aim of this study is to achieve the increased knowledge of the use of the counselling methods in the student counsellors' work and to find the possibilities for development. Two questions are used as guidelines:Which counselling methods do student counsellors use in their work in schools?How can the current education for the student counsellors be supplemented?The analysis of the interviews with six counsellors in Stockholm's administrative province showed that even uneducated counsellors use the same counselling methods as the educated ones. All these methods which are used remind of the known counselling methods that are the part of the current education for the student counsellors.In general counsellors experienced that the education for the counsellors should be supplemented within the field children with special needs and that conversation's methodology is the essence of the counselling work..

Studien har undersökt huruvida insynspersoner i svenska bolag tar till vara på den möjlighet till överavkastning som uppstår på grund av informationsasymmetrin mellan insynspersoner och utomstående. Vidare studeras utomståendes möjlihet att göra överavkastningar genom att analysera publicerad information rörande insynshandeln. Resultatet visar på att överavkastning är förekommande, samtliga eventfönster visar på överavkastning för köptransaktionerna. Säljtransaktionerna däremot ger vagare signaler och en mer ingående analys måste genomföras för att kunna använda sig av informationen. Analysen visar på att transaktionsstorleken är av störst vikt för uppmätt överavkastning, men även bolagets storlek är av betydelse.

The thesis is written on behalf of Pallco AB, which is an engineering company that performs subcontracting, surface treatment, and assembly of components, mainly in steel and aluminium. The thesis focuses on identifying and analyzing the customer order fulfillment process of three customers at Pallco AB.The main objective of the thesis is to distinguish time differences in the company?s administrative work for each of the three customers. Furthermore, Lean thinking is following as a thread through the whole thesis.

Work has a great influence on most of individuals in society. It influences both identity as well as the structure of the day. Unemployed people are often affected in a negative way through economic and psychological problems. In order to help people with reduced work capacity back to the labour market and decrease unemployment, the Labour Market Board works with vocational rehabilitation. The aim of this study is to investigate experiences of vocational rehabilitation within the Labour Market Board among unemployed people.
