The project was intended to produce a brush simulation plugin to the image processing program GIMP which would use a 6DOF drawing tablet for user input.Too ambitious goals coupled with compability issues between the resources used resulted in that no meaningful software was produced. Experience was however obtained, and this paper is intended to give an overview of relevant concepts for- and the process ofcreating a brush simulation..

GE Healthcare wants to investigate whether additive manufacturing would be an alternative method in their workshops in the Umea? plant. Additive manufacturing is called 3D printing in everyday language and manufactures details by building them up layer by layer in an automated machine. The purpose of this work is therefore to investigate how mature additive manufacturing methods are and how they could be used at GE.The work has been divided into three parts. The first section investigates how additive manufacturing would work in the production workshop at GE.

The aim of this study has been to try to understand the meaning of dikaiosuvnh qeou` in Rom 3:21-26, and how man receives this righteousness.The study has two main parts. The first part is a study of Greek terms and words, where the following terms are examined: First the iJlavskomai word group, and especially the word iJlasthvrion. Nihilism, scepticism of meaning or of concept, constitutive scepticism are other commentators´ different names of the same phenomenon. The philosophy of Wittgenstein accounts for how our words, including the words of mathematics, have no meaning and there are no a priori justified objective facts as to what I mean about a word. We follow the rules blindly and without justification. We are unable to find any facts against this proposal.

The capacity to process and to remember information is a basic condition for language ability and for coming reading ability. Reading ability is strongly connected to phonological awareness, receptive vocabulary knowledge and working memory capacity. In what way hearing impairment in children affects development of cognitive skills and later on reading ability is an area that has attracted minor attention for research.The aim with this study was to investigate changes in cognitive skills and reading ability in children with mild or moderate hearing impairment after one year of progress and furthermore if any connections between any increases of the abilities were to be found. Comparisons were made with results from age adequate normal hearing children. Moreover prosodic ability on word-level was tested this year.

Bankerna kan via sociala medier, såsom Facebook och Twitter nå ut på ett kostnadseffektivt sätt, med sitt budskap till allt större publik på en och samma gång. Detta kan i sin tur förstärka företagets rykte, om word-of-mouth visar sig vara av positiv karaktär samtidigt som det kan snabbt rasera företagets varumärke om spridningen av word-of-mouth är allt för negativ och okontrollerbar. Vi ämnar besvara följande frågeställning: Är Facebook och Twitter en gynnsam kommunikationskanal för banker, eller skulle vissa gynnas mer av att inte tillämpa sociala medier i deras verksamhet?Syfte: Syftet med denna uppsats är analysera hur banker förhåller sig till och kommunicerar via sociala medier.

The aim of this thesis is to, through an empirical study ofthe social tags in the City of Stockholm libraries? OPACwith critical discourse analysis, examine the social tags?linguistic design, usability, and communicative potential? all in relation to the context. It is a linguistic study andit is important to take into account that the tags are extremelyshort texts ? single-word-texts. My starting-pointis that the tags are a form of utility texts.What I find is that a clear majority of the tags are nounsand function as index terms, but that there are differencescompared to authorized index terms.

The smartphone is part of our daily life. Smartphone users type on a screen area that is no larger than the palm of a hand. To help with this endeavor the software known as AutoCorrect was created. However little is known about how AutoCorrect actually change the language and if AutoCorrect users at all perceive the impact it has. This study aims to find out if our test subjects are aware of AutoCorrect?s presence and how much it influences them.

Företag har länge använt sig av samtal mellan människor för att sprida budskap om produkter, tjänster och varumärken. Forskare visade redan på 1950-talet att denna typ av informella konversationer, även kallad word-of-mouth (WOM), påverkar konsumenters köpbeteende och företags försäljning. I och med utvecklandet av Internet har WOM fått ytterligare uppmärksamhet och idag ser vi att fler och fler företag använder sig av kanaler såsom internetforum och bloggar som del av sin marknadsföring. Trots detta finns inte mycket forskning på hur WOM genom kanaler såsom dessa påverkar ett företags försäljning. Denna uppsats syftar till att undersöka om, och i så fall hur, WOM via bloggar påverkar ett företags försäljning, där vi i uppsatsen studerar företaget L8 Nyberg.

Syfte: Syftet med vår studie är att förklara hur sociala medier och WOM har använts utav Spotify. Denna uppsats kommer alltså att vara en fallstudie om företaget Spotify men för att få ett bredare perspektiv och en djupare förståelse så kommer vi även att undersöka hur kunderna har uppfattat WOM kring Spotify. De sociala medierna vi kommer undersöka och titta närmare på är Facebook, Twitter och bloggar. I avseendet WOM kommer vi både att titta på viral marknadsföring, vilket är WOM på internet, men vi kommer också att titta på WOM offline.

Att kundens förväntningar på kundbemötandet uppfylls är viktigt, då det påverkar kundens lojalitet samt ger effekter på butikens lönsamhet. Vi ville därför ta reda på hur butikspersonalens bemötande i just klädkedjebutiker kan påverka kundens tillfredsställelse och lojalitet. Genom att anpassa bemötandet efter vad kunden förväntar sig kan detta uppnås, men för att kunna anpassa bemötandet krävs kunskap om vilka förväntningar kunden har. För att uppnå kundtillfredsställelse och få lojala kunder kan butikerna arbeta efter Zeithamls (2009) kundgapsmodell, som visar kundens förväntningar på bemötandet i förhållande till butikspersonalens uppfattning om hur kunden vill bli bemött. För att ta reda på om butikschefer och kunder har olika uppfattning om bemötandet har vi använt oss av en kvalitativ datainsamlingsmetod, där vi utfört tre personliga intervjuer med butikschefer i klädkedjebutiker i Varberg samt en fokusgrupp med butikernas kunder.

The purpose of this study was to examine the narrative skill of sixyear-olds in terms of macrostructure and cohesion, and its relation tonarrative content, auditory attention, auditory short-term memory and threemeasures of word retrieval. A group comparison of macrostructure andcohesion was also performed between children with and without epilepsy.The material consisted of audio recordings of 44 children (18 with epilepsyand 26 from a reference group) retelling the story Nelli-sagan (Holmberg &Sahlén, 2000). No correlation was found between content and macrostructureor cohesion, but several between the latter two. Auditory short-termmemory and word retrieval without pictures showed several correlationswith macrostructure as well as cohesion. No differences in macrostructure orcohesion were found between the children with epilepsy and the referencegroup.

The aim of this study is to examine and map out the different ways that theconception of information literacy (IL) is used in the governing documents ofthe Swedish elementary school. IL is a controversial concept around which thereis no proper consensus. Despite that fact, the word is used in a vast number ofcontexts. In the school world as well as in the library sphere the different waysof using the concept often appear to overlap although rarely in ways that seemconducive to one another. My work therefore, is aimed at finding out how theconcept is used within these two discourses and if or in what ways the usagescoincide and are compatible.
