Allas bibliotek? En fallstudie om tillgänglighet utifrån exemplet Sundsvalls stadsbibliotek
The aim of this master?s thesis is to examine the accessibility for persons with disabilities to service, materials, and the library building in one Swedish public library, and also to see what guides the development of accessibility at this library. In order to do this we have studied guidelines and political documents to se how this library responds to them. To our case study, data have also been collected by qualitative interviews, and observation of what this library offers impaired persons at the library?s web site, in special materials, facilities, and the functionality of the library building.

Resemagasinens paradoxala verklighet : En studie om webbaserade resemagasin
The purpose of this study has been to examine online travel magazines as an information source and as a virtual service scape. The traditional travel magazines are facing a change due to the technological development and the web has become an important platform for both customers and companies. The virtual service scape opens new opportunities for interaction and we found a great interest in examining which possibilities and limitations travel magazines are facing. This study is based on a qualitative approach because we wanted to gain a deeper understanding and a complete picture of our chosen subject. We have completed six interviews; three of them were consultants, one publishing director, one editor and a research student.
Preaching to the choir? A Comparison of Fiscal Forecasts by Governments, Fiscal Policy Councils and the European Commission in the European Semester Framework
The high debt levels experienced in European Countries have lead to academic interest in the deficit bias -the tendency for governments to run budget deficits and accumulate debt. In part one of this thesis a surveyof the economic literature on the origins and solutions to the deficit bias are conducted. The proposedinstitutional solution to the deficit bias in the form of Fiscal Policy Councils (FPC) are outlined and existingEuropean FPCs presented. Based on the works of Calmfors and Wren-Lewis (2011) the EuropeanCommission (EC) is defined as an FPC. Based on this survey, two hypothesis are formulated: (1) theforecasts of future macro-economic events and fiscal performance will differ between the national FPCs andthe national government.
Val och kompensation : En studie av lärares arbetssätt med materialet ABC-klubben
This study, based on the socio-cultural theory of the book as a mediating tool, examines how four teachers say they work with the reader ABC-klubben. This is done with a focus on how they reason about choosing the level of readers for the pupils and about what compensation, if any, they make for pupils who read the simpler book and therefore miss the more difficult words and expressions. The result shows that all the teachers say that they take the pupils? motivation for and pleasure in reading as an important ground for the decision as to which reader a pupil should use, and that this decision is taken with a focus on the individual. When it comes to compensation for the pupils who read the simpler book, the teachers do not describe consistently focused work on this, but they describe a similar way of working whereby they nevertheless acquaint these pupils with the more difficult book and the harder words and expressions.

Forming teacher teams is currently the standard way of organizing teachers in Swedish Compulsory Schools. This is the result of a process that started in the 1970s.Traditionally the culture of teaching has been one of isolation. Once the door to the classroom is shut, what happens behind the door is up to the teacher to decide. Over the past thirty years a lot of time has been dedicated to making fundamental changes in the way teachers interact with their colleagues. Today the idea of teachers forming teams is generally accepted but still the core of a Swedish teacher?s job is that of a lone worker.
Kundlojalitet : En studie om hur man skapar lojala kunder inom mobiloperatörsbranschen
The cellular market is today suffering from great customer dissatisfaction. Simultaneously, the services offered by the different cellular providers are very homogenous, causing strict competition where various price strategies have been the main mean of battle. From a business perspective, implementing pricing strategies, to keep up with increased network investments, is a short term solution.In a market characterized by lacking customer satisfaction and harsh competition, research has shown the importance of highlighting customer relations in marketing. This type of marketing, which one could refer to as relationship marketing, is considered an efficient, economic, and strategic method of showing the importance of customer loyalty. To get insight in the relationship between the customers and the cellular providers, as well as to show the importance of relationship marketing, this study has used qualitative interviews to find what develops strong customer loyalty.The results showed that increased customer loyalty is achieved when an emotional bond is created.
Gerillamarknadsföring : konsten att nå konventionella mål med okonventionella metoder
I början av 1980-talet myntade reklammannen Jay Conrad Levinson uttrycketgerillamarknadsföring. Den nya termen var skapad för att beskriva en marknadsföringstaktikför framförallt mindre företag där kreativitet snarare än en stor marknadsföringsbudget skullevara nyckeln till framgång. Genom att använda sig av okonventionella medieval kunde ävenrelativt billiga kampanjer få ett stort och mycket kostnadseffektivt genomslag. Vartefterkonkurrensen om konsumenternas uppmärksamhet ökat har även större företag anammattaktiken. Tidigare forskning på området har främst undersökt gerillamarknadsföring ur ettföretagsperspektiv.
Sociala medier inom resebranschen
Resebranschen är en marknad som speglas av hård konkurrens och en marknad där synlighet och tillgänglighet är en avgörande faktor. Under de senaste åren har resebranschen stått inför en del förändringar när det kommer till hur resorna säljs. I dagens läge säljer resebyråer fler biljetter online än vad de gör i sina fysiska butiker och möjligheten att använda sociala medier i marknadsföringen har uppstått.Med hjälp av sociala medier skapas ett möte mellan resebyråerna och konsumenterna och de kan skapa relationer via Internet. Med den rådande utvecklingen ses tydliga mönster på hur fler företag inom resebranschen börjar satsa resurser på att utveckla och använda sociala medier i sin marknadsföring. Denna uppsats undersöker, och jämför hur och varför resebyråerna Ving, Apollo och Fritidsresor använder sig av sociala medier i sin marknadsföring.

This study analyzes how civil society contributes to the democratic development in a Nicaragua governed by the sandinist party FSLN. The empirical focus lays at the relationship between state and the civil society. By using a conceptual framework outlined by Caroline Boussard, the civil society is being analyzed as an actor with a democracy-building potential that is supported or constrained by a political context.The civil society is divided between traditional social movement and more newly borned NGOs. Social movements tend to approach the government comparatively to NGOs, which adopt a highly critical attitude. In contrast to NGOs, the traditional social movements are improving their democratic functions as a counterpart while NGOs confine its democratic potential to an agenda setter drawing attention to democratic deficits.

Prosody can be characterized as the rhythm and the melody of speech. Prosodic features convey emotions, thoughts and geographic origins of each individual. Spoken language without prosody would be monotonous, without variations in loudness and rate. Children with cochlear implants perceive speech in a different way than children with normal hearing. Consequently the speech produced by a child with cochlear implants may sound different.The purpose of this study was to examine prosodic skills in Swedish children with cochlear implants and to compare them with the prosodic skills in Swedish children with normal hearing.

According to the EC fuel regulations 2 % bio fuel has to be blended in all fuel by the year 2005, and 5.75 % by the year 2010, which means ethanol for gasoline driven vehicles, so there will be a substantial demand for ethanol. Brazil already has an established industry for producing ethanol and is the leading producer and exporter of fuel ethanol. My purpose with this paper is to investigate why Brazil decided to develop ethanol production on a large-scale operation and to find out today?s situation. Focus will mainly be on ethanol production with sugarcane as a feedstock.

This thesis focuses on Chinese?Swedish code-switching of bilingual children in Sweden. The purpose is to, through a case study, study what Chinese?Swedish code-switching looks like in daily conversations between bilingual children and their parents. Three main questions are formulated from the purpose of the thesis, foucusing on the types and frequencies of code-switching, the grammar of code-switching, and the motivation of code-switching.The linguistic material comes from voice recordings of naturally occurring conversations between three children and their parents, which are transcribed afterwards.
Språkutvecklande arbetssätt : En kvalitativ studie om hur lärare arbetar med halvspråkiga elever
The purpose of this study was to examine how teachers conduct their teaching to be language developing, and how they in a practical way work with semi-speaking students who have language deficits in the Swedish language and / or their native language. To carry out this study, I used qualitative interviews as a method and I have interviewed six teachers working at a high school.The school that these teachers work at execute a language developing teaching throughout all the courses in the school. All teachers have a similar idea of what language developing work is, however, how they go about and what is emphasized most in the teaching differs. The reason for this is because these teachers have different experiences with the language developing teaching. These professionals agree that this approach is very important and that all teachers, regardless of subject, should work in a language developing way, in parallel with the rest of their subjects.

Syfte: Uppsatsens syfte är att ta reda på likheter och skillnader mellan stora och små hotellkedjor i sättet hur dessa marknadsför sig via sociala medier.Till detta syfte har vi arbetat mot tre frågor:Hur använder sig hotellkedjor av sociala medier i sin marknadsföring?Hur ser interaktionerna ut mellan hotell och deras följare via sociala medier?Har storleken på hotellkedjor någon betydelse i sin marknadsföring via sociala medier?Metod: För att komma mer på djupet inom ämnet har vi valt att använda en kvalitativ forskningsmetod samt en observation. Det empiriska material vi samlat för arbetet är från fyra respondenter från fyra hotellkedjor som är insatta och har betydande roller i det vi valt att studera. Alla har vi intervjuat ansikte mot ansikte och observationen är genomförd i form av sammansatt matris.Slutsats: Vi har genom utförda intervjuer och analys identifierat hur små och stora hotell förhåller sig till sociala medier. Utifrån detta har vi även funnit likheter och skillnader mellan stora och små hotellkedjor i sättet hur dessa använder sig av dem sociala medierna som marknadsföringskanaler.
