Since the end of the Cold War, foreign aid donors have been using political conditionality to promote human rights, democracy and good governance in recipient countries. This phenomenon has been analyzed and criticized, but mainly from a strictly empirical point of view. In this paper, the legitimacy of political conditionality is analyzed through a normative perspective based on the extrinsic value of efficiency. If the political conditions don?t result in a democratic development, including respect of human rights and good governance, they can not be justified.With at theoretical focus on the donors, based on the unequal relationship between donor and recipient, I am examining the donors? possibility and supposed will to use political conditions in development cooperation.

Syftet med denna studie var att beskriva vilka behandlingsformer det finns för överviktiga barn och barn med fetma samt vilka effekter de har på kroppsvikten.Metoden som användes var en litteraturstudie av deskriptiv ansats och sökningen av vetenskapliga artiklar skedde via databaserna PubMed och High Wire Press. Det var 19 stycken studier som svarade mot studiens syfte och frågeställning och inkluderades i studien.Av de behandlingsformer som presenterades i studien hade kirurgi- och läkemedelsbehandling den största effekten på barn med fetma. Studien påvisade att de kombinerade behandlingsformerna inriktade på beteende och kostförändringar tillsammans med fysisk aktivitet och som involverade hela eller delar av familjen hade den största effekten på barn med övervikt. Pågick den kombinerade behandlingen mer är ett år kunde man se en positiv viktutveckling med en minskning av BMI på de barn med övervikt som deltog.De övriga behandlingsformerna som presenteras visar var och en av dem en god effekt under behandlingstiden men avtar efter avslutad behandling.Slutsatsen författaren drar av denna studie var att de barn som behandlas tillsammans med familjen under en längre tid och lär sig hur man förhåller sig till kost och fysisk aktivitet, har störst chans att slippa gå in i vuxenvärlden som överviktig..

Bakgrund: Palliativ vård är den vård som ges då patienten inte längre reagerar på botande behandling. Att vara närstående till någon som vårdas palliativt kan innebära påfrestningar som aldrig tidigare erfarits. Vilka behov de närstående har varierar beroende på vilken roll de för tillfället befinner sig i, antingen rollen som mottagare av vård eller rollen som givare av vård. Syfte: Syftet var att beskriva närståendes behov vid palliativ vård i livets slutskede, då patienten vårdas i hemmet. Metod: Studien genomfördes som en litteraturstudie och baserades på elva kritiskt granskade kvantitativa och kvalitativa artiklar.

AbstractThis study deals with preschool children's ideas about water in our body. Ten children with the age of four to five were interviewed individually, the interviews were qualitative. The children were also asked to draw their answers and answer questions about a picture that represented the excretory system. The results of my study show that children did not have any knowledge about the water being vital for us. Preschool children had no knowledge of why it is important to drink water.

The purpose of this study is to give a picture of the current status for the recruitment to forest machine operator educations in Sweden, how many the educators are and the outcome of this activity. The three at present different types of education are upper secondary school, polytechnic school and vocational school. The method used for the survey is telephone interviews, pre-broadcast issues were discussed and the responses were recorded. The results are then compiled and presented in linear form. The conclusions one can draw is that education is desirable and important. The purpose of the study is, through literature and interview studies, to analyze and draw attention to critical mindedness regarding news features in a multilateral way. In the interview 16 participants got to see three SVT news features with lack of criticism. Great importance was given to the spontaneous reasoning of the participant. The study is explorative and has given a number of hypotheses and ideas for further research concerning the subject. Den ideella sektorn i Sverige omfattar idag allt från små sällskapsföreningar till stora fackliga organisationer. Huvuduppgiften för dessa föreningar är att generera nytta för sina medlemmar, givare och andra intressenter genom olika verksamheter. Till skillnad mot näringsdrivande företag är pengarna endast ett medel för att kunna utföra verksamheten i föreningarna och inget mål i sig. Syftet med vår uppsats är för det första, att belysa kopplingen mellan den externa redovisningens beskrivning av organisationens mål och eget kapital samt intellektuellt kapital i den del av den ideella sektorn som följer årsredovisningslagen. För det andra, om så bedöms möjligt, ge rekommendationer om hur de ovannämnda kapitalen kan förvaltas för att på bästa sätt uppfylla verksamhetens mål.

This report presents an independent thesis corresponding 15hp and was carried out on Högskolan in Halmstad during the spring of 2014. The thesis is the final course which ends a three-year mechanical engineering program with focus on technical design.The thesis started in an operation which electricians are exposed to every day. The operation in question is cable laying or wiring. The tool they use is called a tension spring and is a long and stiff wire, usually made out of nylon or fiberglass. The tension spring is fed through pipes in the walls and brings the desired cables with it on the way back.

Detta examensarbete är ett utvecklingsarbete av demonstrationsutrustning för enkel visning av fördelarna med M2M-tekniken vid insamling av mätdata och automatisk övervakning. Arbetet består av en praktisk del, som utgörs av demonstrationsväskan, och en mer teoretisk del, som utgörs av demonstrationsprogrammet. Programmet har utvecklats till att med ett mätkort kopplat till en PC samla in mätvärden (spänningar), dessa skickas sedan som ett SMS med ett GSM-modem till en mottagare. Mottagaren kan vara en serviceman som vill ha felmeddelanden från utrustning inom dennes ansvarsområde, mottagaren kan även vara en server som rymmer en databas vilken används för att spara viktiga mätvärden för längre tid, t.ex. loggning av elförbrukning hos något kraftbolags kund.

The large number of surrendered and feral cats is a big animal welfare problem all over the world. Populations of feral cats arise through a large number of unwanted cats which can lead to surrender of these, through cats allowed to roam free outside which can lead to the owner losing these and through the reproduction that occurs amongst these surrendered or lost cats. One aim of this study is to give an account of this problem. It is however difficult to draw general conclusions about these populations of cats since studies all over the world has been carried out on different types of populations, during different conditions and different periods of time. The welfare of many of these cats is presumably low because they are exposed to risks as disease, starvation, climate, traffic, other animals and humans.

The purpose of the rebuild of Notnäs AB timber sorting line is to renew the existing drive and turning ends of the transport chain, which has become old. This means that Notnäs AB have problems to get new parts if the gearbox and chain are worn out. They also require that the rebuild should have a maintenance schedule for the new spare parts that will be used in the rebuild. Maintenance workers placed great emphasis on that in a rebuild it shall be a service-friendly design. The maintenance schedule used in Notnäs AB in the current situation is from Statoil and the report uses SKF formulas and recommendations in order to obtain a lubricating schedule.
