In the west part of Trelleborg, on previous farmland a new society is under construction. It is situated right next to the ocean and close to the European freeway. Eight types of villages, all with different kind of architecture will be built in the area, one of them is Torns Village built by Skanska and Ikea. A concept called BoKlok. This specific village consists of twelve houses and five apartment buildings. They are all somewhat classical in their appearance with wooden panel, but at the same time they have a modern touch.

Examensarbetet belyser så väl fördelar som nackdelar under utveckling av USB-enheter med PIC processorn PIC16C745 som grund. Processorn används i detta projekt för att möjliggöra en effektiv distansövervakning via USB gränssnittet. I detta projekt har en USB-enhet konstruerats med uppgiften att leverera data från olika givare till en PC. Vidare publiceras dessa data på Internet via en webbserver. Givarna är av typen analoga och binära.

Den föreliggande uppsatsen handlar om läroböckernas framställning av imperialismen i gymnasieämnet historia mellan 1956 och 2003. Genomgången av läroböckerna följer fem teman; diskurs, människan, historiesyner, kunskap och lärande samt anknytning till läroplanen. Dessa fem teman visar att läroplanens mål inte alltid följs, detta beror främst på författarna som ofta har ett idealistiskt sätt att skriva på, förlagens krav på gångbarhet spelar här en viss roll. En lärarenkät visar att lärarna intar en mycket ambivalent hållning till sina läroböcker, de har en stark kritik mot läroböckerna men använder dessa flitigt. Det de mest saknar är mentalitetshistoria, långa linjer den lilla människan och kvinnan.

Efficient energy use in the housing sector is crucial for achieving a sustainable society. The expansion of this sector only represents a fraction of the existing houses, hence it?s within the existing houses the potential for energy savings lie. This potential has been analyzed in order to determine if it?s possible to cut the current energy demand in half.

This thesis has been performed at the system development company Verendus System AB, together with the home care company Basic Care Unit (BCU).The thesis has consisted of developing a web based informationsystem for BCU in which they can administrate their business. At the time of writing this thesis, BCU was using a windows-application to administrate their activities, which was both costly aswell as resulting in an unnecessary burden. The aim the thesis has thus been to create a platform-independent information system that simplifies and streamlines BCUs work by being user-friendly aswell as imposing some simplifying features.The students has been developing the system by the help of a work method they themselves developed. The method consisted of working in several iterations that each had several milestones. The method resulted in the students knowing easily when each iteration was finished or not.The thesis resulted in a working platform independent prototype.

This Master's Thesis describes the design of a new system where a digital signal processor has been added to an existing imaging system consisting of field programmable gate arrays. The new system will offer a higher degree of flexibility by considerably shortening the design time and make it possible to implement more complex algorithms than the existing ones. The choice of system architecture and a test implementation are discussed. The test implementation consists of a program for the digital signal processor and VHDL code for one of the field programmable gate arrays. The code for the digital signal processor was designed for testing on an evaluation board from Texas Instruments.

Ett sjunkande intresse bland skolelever och försämrade matematikkunskaper har presenterats i tidigare studier, (PISA, 2003; TIMSS, 2003), vilket motiverar ämnesvalet: att undersöka kvalitetsarbetet inom gymnasieskolans matematikundervisning med fokus på att främja lärande. Hur undervisningen bedrivs samt samarbetet mellan lärarna har undersökts, men även vilket intresse som finns bland lärarna att utveckla matematiken, med målet att öka elevernas lust att lära. Studien genomfördes HT2006 och grundades på kvalitativa intervjuer med fem gymnasielärare i mellersta Sverige, samt observation av en ämneskonferens. Resultaten visade att majoriteten av lärarna var nöjda med undervisningen, baserad på läroboken, med genomgång och enskilt arbete. Inget genomarbetat samarbete med fokus på kvalitetsutveckling pågick mellan lärarna.

Aim: The study's aim and run-up are to investigate how journalists frame texts, during impact of those standards and values that they have, combined with the organization and in the nation where they work.Method/Material: The study looks on how the authors of articles at the Swedish newspaper "Dagens Nyheter" and the Norwegian newspaper "Dagbladet", uses the concept al-Qaida, in their news rapport, during the period 19:th of mars ? 24:th of august 2003. Two hundred articles were collected and divided into two groups, 1) the explicit group, there the text actu ally treated al-Qaida, 2) the implicit group, there the text e.g. linked to the name al-Qaida and the article itself treated another subject. Is it possible to see differences or resemblances, in the way that journa lists frame their texts? The main theoretical run-up is framing accor- ding to R.

The outset of this thesis is to raise questions on how we design for the mobile context and the capabilities of smartphones. Not only the presentation but also the use of input and interaction between a service and a user.This work evolves around sign up forms and answers the question: How does the sign up process affect the holistic perspective of a digital service regarding usability and user experience? This thesis consists of a case studies, and design experiments conducted on Twitter, Instagram and Randos sign up processes to explore if and how the usability, and the user experience could be affected and im- proved.This concluded some important aspects to be considered when designing sign up forms for a digital service.The usability, and the user experience is not only affected by user interaction, and the choice of input method but it?s also affected by which data the service is requesting, and more important; if that data is motivated to request by the service..

The purpose of this paper is to apply the Dual-Effect hypothesis in Pritmani, Shome and Singal paper (2003), in order to analyze the exchange rate exposure on firms listed on the U.K. market. The study will examine if the foreign involvement of the firm will affect the share price of the firm.In addition to evaluating the Dual-Effect hypothesis in Pritmani et. al. (2003), we will evaluate the effect of foreign interest rates impact on U.K.

Kra?nkande behandling och mobbning a?r ett stort problem i skolorna idag, na?got som ba?de Skolverket (2002), Myndigheten fo?r skolutveckling (2003) och barnombudsmannen Lena Nyberg (2005) har uppma?rksammat. Syftet med studien a?r, mot denna bakgrund, att underso?ka na?gra fo?ra?ldrars erfarenheter av samverkan med skolan i arbetet att fo?rhindra kra?nkande behandling och mobbning av deras egna barn. Studien syftar a?ven till att belysa fo?ra?ldrars roll som en resurs i va?rdegrundsarbetet generellt.

Uppsatsen är en kvalitativ studie med utgångspunkt i intervjuer med fem socialarbetare som på olika sätt i sitt arbete kommer i kontakt med flickor/kvinnor utsatta för hedersrelaterat våld. Syftet med denna studie var att beskriva hur man på socialkontor i Stockholm arbetar med flickor/kvinnor från patriarkala familjer utsatta för hedersrelaterat våld. De forskningsfrågor som har legat till grund för studien var: Hur definierar socialarbetarna hedersrelaterat våld som är riktat mot flickor/kvinnor från patriarkala familjer? Hur arbetar socialsekreterare med flickor/kvinnor utsatta för hedersrelaterat våld som vänder sig till socialtjänsten? Vad upplever socialarbetarna som hinder och vad som behöver förändras i arbetet med flickorna/kvinnorna? Har arbetssätten på socialtjänsten i arbetet med flickor från patriarkala familjer förändrats sedan 2003? Resultaten analyserades utifrån den tidigare presenterade forskningen samt teorier som ekologiska systemteorin, empowerment och några tankar om organisationens betydelse. Resultaten visade att arbetet med flickor/kvinnor utsatta för hedersrelaterat våld har förändrats till flickans/kvinnas bästa sedan 2003.

The aim of this thesis is to examine how mirrors were hung and used in decorating a room during the gustavian period (1770-1810) and the functionalistic period (1930-1939) in Sweden. I have compared the two styles and the way of decorating with mirrors. Based on the comparison I deduced the differences and similarities. The material which the thesis is based on are three drawings and one painting depicting four gustavian rooms containing mirrors. To illustrate the functionalistic period I used four photos from the catalogue from the Stockholm exhibition in 1930.

Den här artikeln behandlar vad de bakomliggande orsakerna till popup-annonsers kraftiga nedgång under de senaste åren berott på. Popup-annonser på Internet väcker stor irritation hos många användare och få uppskattar de annonsfönster som kommer upp framför dem på datorn. Ett svar på att annonsverktyget är föga uppskattat var när Microsoft lanserade Service Pack II till Windows XP som innehöll ett popup-filter. Vid lanseringen av popup-filtret sjönk antalet visningar i Europa med cirka 35 procent. Men även innan filtret kom märktes en nedgång av antalet visningar på grund av restriktivare användning från portaler till följd av klagomål och kritik från besökare.
