This study was conducted on a property with a thinning machine team. The purpose was to investigate in which machine, the harvester or the forwarder, that caused most damage to the trees in six different stands. Different factors, related to the damage frequency in the stands, were checked out. For example: basal area per hectare, thinning strength, tree diameter and the rate of production. The harvester drivers were also interviewed about how, when and why stem damages occur and how to minimize them. The study stated that 4.3 percent of the trees were damaged. In veterinary medicine, penicillin is the most used antibiotic in Sweden. Abstract We have chosen to figure out why a majority in a home-help service group in west of Sweden is, or has been sick-listed. The purpose with our work has been to investigate our area to be able to come up with different factors which can have contributed to the high numbers of this particular group. We have worked with qualitative method and conversation-interviews to be able to answer our purpose at the best way. We had separate interviews with the ten employees at their work and these interviews we chose to record with a computer. The result we got were that the group had existed for about four years and since then, they have had several different directors.

Abomasal ulcer in adult cattle from abattoir. Abomasa from 291 cattle over 12 months of age slaughtered at Swedish meats in Uppsala during September 2003 were examined. Abomasal lesions were assessed macroscopically. Of the examined abomasa 108 (37.1 %) had lesions such as erosions and/or ulcers. Of these, 75.9 % had erosions, 13.0 % had ulcus and 11,1 % had both ulcers and erosions. The erosions were generally smaller than the ulcerations (90,7 % of the erosions were < 10 mm while 75,6 % of the ulcerations were > 10 mm).
