The emphasize of this study is to evaluate security issues for home users having a personal computer connected to the Internet. It focus on the usage of advantages and disadvantages when using a firewall while connected to the Internet. The hypothesis is that it gives a better protection to install and use a firewall compared not to do so, due to security flaws in the operating system. The prediction was tested on a home user's personal computer. The testwork was divided into two major tests, each of them performed with, respectively without, a firewall.

On March 1, 2012, Google introduced its new privacy policy which is applicable to all Google services. This means that search history may be saved by Google indefinitely and may also be associated with the specific account during the first 18 months. We assume that few people read this policy and we have hypotheses that a deeper knowledge of the contents of the privacy policy affects how users perceive Google as a company and/or the usage of Google services. In this study, we have conducted surveys at the IT University of Gothenburg, to investigate how many participants that have read or possess some knowledge of the privacy policy. We have found that very few participants claim to have read the privacy policy.

This study shows the thoughts, hopes and wishes of two male and two female music teachers, in grades 6 ? 9 from four different cities of Sweden. The emphasis lays on usage of digital tools. As the schools now stand before lots of changes in its curriculums; the use of digital tools was the main thing that caught my interest. How has the schools interpreted what this means? What does this mean in terms of purchases for the schools? We already know that many schools are lacking proper facilities to conduct music lessons so this ads on even larger needs.

Detta examensarbete är utfört på Sandvik Materials Technology (SMT) i Sandviken. SMT har under ett antal år arbetat mot att infria deras två största kunders, Atlas Copco Secoroc och Sandvik Mining and Construction, önskemål om en leveransprecision på 95% och en ledtid på tre dagar för storvolymprodukter av bergborrstål. Idag är leveransprecisionen tillfredsställande medan ledtiden är fem dagar. Examensarbetets syfte är att analysera vad som krävs för att infria Atlas Copco Secoroc's och Sandvik Mining and Constructions önskemål om tre dagars ledtid för storvolymprodukter. Ledtidsreduceringen ska åstadkommas med nuvarande skiftform och utan att leveransprecisionen påverkas i negativ riktning.

Mechanical scaling is one of the most complex operations of all in the mining process. The operators are using both hearing, sight and feel to read the rock and to know where to scale and where to leave. They say they go on gut feeling in great extent, something that comes with experience. The scaling machine is placed into the edge of unsecured and newly blasted rock to hammer off the blocks that has become loose after the blast, but not enough to fall down. It goes without sayingthat it is a risky job.

Detta examensarbete är utfört mot Sandvik Mining and Construction (SMC), på en produktionsenhet i Köping. SMC Köping, som tillverkar och levererar olika typer av gruvborrar till kunder över hela världen, har under en tid upplevt att deras lagerhantering inte fungerar optimalt med en osäkerhet kring lagersaldo och problem med att lokalisera artiklar. Ett väl fungerande arbetssätt på lagret är kritiskt för den interna och externa leveranssäkerheten, något som direkt påverkar företagets möjlighet till att konkurrera. Syftet med detta examensarbete är att genom en kartläggning av nuvarande lagerhantering vid SMC Köping analysera, utveckla och implementera förbättringsförslag för layout och hanteringen vid det befintliga lagret på ett sådant sätt att det säkerställer ett materialflöde till, i och ifrån lagret, med förbättrade interna och externa leveranser som resultat. För att göra examensarbetets syfte mer överskådligt och uppnåeligt har ett antal delmål formulerats, enligt följande: - Beskriva, för denna studie, relevant teori kring layout, arbetssätt och systemstöd för att författarna ska få en bild över hur detta behandlas i litteraturen.

With theories of creativity and aesthetic learning processes as a basis, this study explores the usage of the concept of creativity in the curriculum for the Swedish compulsory school (Lgr11) and in the various syllabi?s commentaries and the assessment guidelines for the subject of Sloyd produced by the Swedish National Agency for Education. The purpose of the study is, to examine to which extent an education and assessment that is directed towards the development of creativity among pupils in the subject of Sloyd, is underpinned and supported for in these texts, and furthermore how these wordings relate to the various other subjects? wordings about creativity. Creativity is a concept around which there is no proper consensus.

Some energy saving methods that were considered were suspend to RAM, suspend to disk, frequency scaling, and methods for saving energy in the modem, Ethernet, USB and display backlight. The functions were grouped into levels and an interface was specified for controlling the energy level.It proved possible to get known properties within the defined energy levels, even though the paritioning of functions into these levels proved to be sub-optimal in a typical application usage scenario because it was designed for mainly energy consumption, not usage.The final result is a number of energy saving functions grouped into levels, which are controllable via an application interface. Each of the levels have a known energy consumption in both loaded and un-loaded mode..

Open pit mining creates huge amounts of tailings and waste rock deposits. Due to it's content of sulphide minerals, predominantly pyrite (FeS2), there is a risk of oxidation and formation of acid water containing heavy metals, known as Acid Rock Drainage (ARD). To prevent the process of oxidation, the tailings and waste rock have to be reclaimed. The most commonly used methods of reclamation are a coverage of water or soil. Mining also results in a large-scale interference in the landscape that will make an eternal change of its appearance.

Underjordsbrytning används ofta vid höggradiga malmkroppar som ligger under jord. De finns många olika metoder men två av de vanligaste är skivrasbrytning och igensättningsbrytning. Som används av Boliden AB och LKAB.

Syfte: Syftet med denna uppsats är att analysera utvecklingen av användandet av elektroniska business-to-business auktioner, utifrån ett kundperspektiv i fordonsbranschen. Metod: Denna uppsats präglas av den kvalitativa metoden, för att därigenom ge en ökad förståelse kring utvecklingen av användandet av e-auktioner. Inledningsvis har en litteraturstudie genomförts, varpå intervjuer med representanter för företag i fordonsbranschen gjorts. Slutsatser: Som utgångspunkt har vi valt uppskattningen att e-auktioner skall motsvara 25 procent av den elektroniska B2B-handeln i fordonsindustrin 2002. Det råder en övertygelse om att en betydande missräkning gjorts.

Inom svenskt näringsliv har det under senare tid uppmärksammats att svenska företag i allt större utsträckning väljer att insourca delar av sin verksamhet. För att en insourcingprocess ska lyckas och för att den ska bidra till att företaget ökar sin konkurrenskraft gäller det för företaget att ha bra kännedom om det nätverk i vilket det är en del av. Det är också viktigt att företaget har en klar bild av sin kärnkompetens och av karaktären på den aktivitet som eventuellt ska insourcas.Syftet med denna är att undersöka vilka orsaker som kan ligga bakom ett insourcingbeslut samt att studera effekter som kan uppstå i samband med insourcing. Både Sandvik AB Mining and Constructions och Atlas Copco AB Construction Mining Technique har valt att koncentrera produktion från utlandet till Sverige och det är deras insourcingprojekt som analyseras i uppsatsen. Båda företagen räknas som världsledande aktörer på marknaden för maskiner och komponenter till gruvindustrin.

Projects of all kinds generate documentation that needs to be organized and stored for future use. Well adapted tools, together with a unified modus operandi need to be available for both the project members and those having a more organizing role if an organization is to be effective.A study of the tools available to project members at Svenska Kraftnät have been performed along with an analysis of the guidelines for the tools' usage. The study has focused on the needs of the project members, not the organization as a whole, thus providing a bottom-up approach to the problem instead of the more organizational top-down approach. Interviews of around 20 project members, whose roles include project leaders, technical experts and documentation supervisors, have been conducted to get an idea of the practical problems that exists.All systems, except for a local network storage device, were found to at least meet Svenska Kraftnät's current demands. The usage guidelines, however, covers only the general process that a project should follow and lacks detailed information on a per system level in several areas.
