The aim of the following thesis is to examine if the ideology behind the copyright laws of today poses a threat to creativity and the cultural heritage. The organizations Association of American Publishers and Authors Guild are subject to an ideology- analysis which seeks to examine their ideological views on copyright and the possible threat to creativity such a view brings. The conflict between the two organizations and Google Book Search is used as a context where the ideology is being brought to light. Stanford Law School professor, Lawrence Lessigs work is used as theory and an alternative to the examined view on copyright. The result suggests that the organizations see copyright as the only effective incentive to creation and therefore they think stronger intellectual property laws are needed.

The main purpose of this two year master´s thesis is to study patterns, structures and relations within gender studies when combined with Library and Information Science(LIS). Further aims are to determine the character of student work considering, occurrence, gender and main theme, to study the progress of the intellectual base of gender studies within LIS and to evaluate the use of bibliometrics as a tool for researching the development of a discipline. To achieve these aims, a bibliometric study using both publication analysis and citation analysis, is carried out. The studied material contains student work, specifically focused on gender, from the Swedish School of Library and Information Science (SSLIS) from 1985?2012.

Denna systematiska litteraturstudie upprättats av intresse att undersöka hur inkludering påverkar eleverna i matematiksvårigheter. Syftet med studien är att beskriva de utmaningar som läraren ställs inför vid inkludering av elever i matematiksvårigheter. Detta leder även till att det blir av intresse att undersöka sambandet mellan begreppen inkludering och elever i matematiksvårigheter. Resultatet visar på att många forskare ställer sig positiva till inkludering, men menar att lärare behöver mer kompetens på området. Det påvisas även att inkludering inte passar alla elever i matematiksvårigheter.

Our purpose was to examine why and how to start a ?bridge building enterprise? between qualified Chinese human capital and Swedish structure capital. The study seeks to from professionals perspectives describe and analyze the beliefs they have about women with intellectual disabilities and their pregnancy and motherhood. We will also discuss and reflect on the possible support that professionals find important for women to handle pregnancy and motherhood. The information has been gathered through interviews with five different professions that have come in contact with the audience in their work. In our material we found three distinctive perspectives: a child´s perspective, a parent´s perspective and a community perspective. From these perspectives, we could find many similarities in the informants´ perceptions, which resulted in different themes.

Geographical indications designate products which have a specific geographical origin, which can either be national, regional or local. The subject is complicated since geographical indications arises a large number of questions There are EC regulations which regulate the protection of geographical indications, but since the field has not yet been exhaustively harmonized, the existence of national rules of protection is therefore still possible, which can lead to trade barriers between the member states. Consequently, one problem consists in whether it may be legitimate to restrict the free movement of goods by article 28 in the EC Treaty by referring to national rules of protection and to what extent such measures may be justified by article 30 or by the Cassis doctrine. An additional question consists in how the line between geographical indications and generic terms is to be established appropriately. Further, geographical indications are exposed to improper use by other dishonest commercial operators and therefore the possibilities of protection against unfair competition and misleading are also discussed in the thesis.

The goal of this project was to develop a seesaw that is available for children aged 5-12 years; both with and without disabilities. The project has aimed to develop a seesaw that fits everyone in the target group without looking specially adapted.Children with disabilities have difficulty using today's seesaws because they consist of only a seat and a handle on each side. It requires that the user has strong arms and legs and can sit up without support. HAGS Aneby AB would like to change this.To gain knowledge of the target group and on the different types of disabilities information was sought for on the internet including the RBU's and UNICEF's websites.

This study considers the work to development the language done by pedagogues in a special school for mentally retarded children. How do pedagogues work to develop the language in children who are so different and have so different conditions and needs? That is the central aim of this study.

Abstract / introduktionStudiens syfte var att undersöka upplevelser kring aspekter av vuxenblivandet bland adopterade; såsom studier, flytta hemifrån, skaffa partner, bilda familj och arbete. Frågeställningarna berörde även om adoptionsidentiteten, kön och ursprungsland hade någon betydelse för upplevelserna av vuxenblivandeprocessen.Semistrukturerade intervjuer genomfördes med sex kvinnor och sex män födda 1969-1992 i Sydkorea och Colombia/El Salvador. Materialet analyserades med en induktiv och deduktiv tematisk analys. Resultatanalysen synliggjorde att den stora variationen i upplevelser och erfarenheter i stor utsträckning relaterade till familjrelationer och etnisk självidentitet och extern etnicitetsidentifiering. Vuxenblivandet som en positiv respektive problematisk erfarenhet kunde även relateras till individuellt förhållningssätt..

This paper explores the accessibility for patrons with different physical disabilities in regards to materials, service, the library building and its website at two typical, medium-sized public libraries in Sweden.The case study is based on interviews, observations, and document and literature studies. As a theoretical framework for this study, Buckland?s model of information barriers is used to describe, discuss and evaluate how the two libraries work with accessibility. In addition, international and national guidelines are used to measure whether additional actions are required of the libraries to improve the accessibility.The results show that both libraries are well suited in various respects to provide for the different needs and the requirements of patrons with physical disabilities. Some obstacles still exist in both libraries, especially in the lack of literature in accessible formats in different languages.

Studien är en longitudinell analys där syftet är att beskriva ungdomars vardagliga livsföring utifrån de lokala villkoren i Haparanda år 2007, det vill säga efter Ikeas etablering. Ett delsyfte är att synliggöra förändringen i den lokala samhällsstrukturen mellan år 2005 och år 2007 och om förutsättningarna är lika för unga kvinnor och män att skapa sig en meningsfull framtid i kommunen. I studien kombineras både kvalitativ och kvantitativ metod. Intervjuerna utgörs av ungdomar i Haparanda kommun samt en arbetsförmedlare på den lokala arbetsförmedlingen. Enkätundersökning baseras på insamlad data som har gjorts vid två tillfällen, år 2005 samt år 2007, dels för att belysa förändringen i den lokala samhällsstrukturen mellan åren, dels som ett komplement till det kvalitativa materialet.

Denna uppsats beskriver attityder till arbete bland norrbottniska ungdomar, som ännu inte etablerat sig på arbetsmarknaden. Vidare beskriver den i vilken utsträckning dessa ungdomar känner samhörighet med sina hemregioner. Till sist så undersöks också kopplingar mellan olika attityder och samhörighetsgrad till hemregionen eller intresse för internationella utblickar och kontakter. Syftet är pragmatiskt på så sätt att det ger svar på vad arbetsgivare i Norrbotten kan fokusera på för att knyta den framtida arbetskraften till länet. Metoden är kvantitativ och utgår från svar på postenkäter som skickats till alla ungdomar i Norrbotten som gick i nian i grundskolan och i trean på gymnasiet under hösten 2005.

The aim of this study was to understand how three selected football associations in three counties in Sweden work to include children and adolescents with disability in the age of 7-20 in their organization.  For this study we have used a qualitative method. The data have been collected through using semi-structured interviews with coaches and representatives from the board. When analyzing the data, we used Charles Tilly's theory Durable Inequality and research within the area of inclusion within sports, the significance of activities and the inequality within sports. The conclusions of the study showed that there was a stated lack of knowledge in the associations when it comes to their work with young people with disabilities and also in their work with the policies.
