Speech anomalies have been described as characteristic symptoms forthe 22q11 deletion syndrome. However, research on speech and Voice in adultswith the syndrome is still scarce. Previous research has indicated that speech andVoice anomalies seen in children with the syndrome might have neurologicalcauses. The aim of this study is to investigate speech and Voice in a group ofadults diagnosed with the 22q11 deletion syndrome, with extra focus onanomalies with possible neurological cause. The researched group consisted of24 adults between the ages 19 to 38 with a verified 22q11-deletion, 16 womenand 8 men.

In the late 20th century there has been some changes in the public sector. These changes are described as New Public Management. When ideas from the private market is transferred to the public sector, for example to regard citizens as cus-tomer. Central in this paper is the use of term customer in the Swedish public sec-tor. There are two questions in the paper; which possibilities has a disappointed customer to effect the public sector, and what may happen with democracy, the common good, when the citizen becomes a customer?To answer the questions I study two different cases, Svedala kommun and the tax department, Skatteverket.

The two swedish unions, Akademikerförbundet SSR and Kommunal, have a majority of female participations who mainly work in the public services. The difference between the unions is that one of them only represents members with academic educations and the other has members with lower educations. The aim of this study was to compare the two unions according to the terms exit, Voice and loyalty, but also participation and influence. There were 142 participants in this study and 8 participants were interviewed in a pre-study. The result of the study shows that Voice is a strong predictor to wellbeing in work life.

Voice onset time (VOT) är en akustisk tidsparameter som reflekterar den tidsmässiga samordningen av talmotoriken. VOT betraktas som det mest pålitliga akustiska kännetecknet på huruvida en klusil är tonlös eller tonande.Föreliggande studies syfte var att studera och jämföra VOT hos svenska barn (8, 9, 10, 11 år) och vuxna för att se hur utvecklingen sker samt för att ta fram svenska normvärden. Ljudinspelningar genomfördes på 150 barn och 36 vuxna vid uttal av de svenska klusilerna i minimala par. Akustiska analyser av materialet utfördes sedan.Resultatet visade att de tonlösa klusilerna föreföll produceras med vuxenlika VOT-värden från och med cirka nio års ålder. De tonande motsvarigheterna producerades med vuxenlik VOT omkring tio års ålder.

This examination paper is a lead in the educational program Industrial Management at Jönköping University. The paper itself contains an analysis of the warehouse organisation and its efficiency at the furniture company Voice AB in Torsvik, just south of Jönköping, Sweden. The report also contains propositions to raise the level of efficiency in the company warehouse and warehouse management.In the investigation of the warehouse a number of possible improvements were found. Examples are lack of a system for labelling shelves and racks, lack of an efficient location system and development possibilities in work routines. For the empirical investigation both qualitative and quantitative methods ware used.

In Sweden surgical treatment of vocal fold lesions in children is fairly uncommon. At Falun hospital they have adapted a more generous attitude towards phonosurgery of children?s vocal folds. The purpose of the present study was to evaluate surgical treatment of organic vocal fold lesions in children and to assess the phonosurgical patient utility. The study was carried out at the Ear-, Nose- and Throat clinic, Falun hospital, Sweden.

Voice onset time (VOT) är en akustisk tidsparameter som speglar den talmotoriska kontrollen. VOT anses vara det mest tillförlitliga akustiska tecknet på om en klusil är tonande eller tonlös.Syfte: att undersöka och jämföra VOT hos barn i åldrarna 3, 4 och 5 år samt jämföra med tidigare publicerade svenska vuxenvärden.Metod: 83 barn (51 flickor; 32 pojkar) ljudinspelades vid produktion av minimala par för de svenska klusilerna.Resultat: medelvärden för VOT minskade genomgående med åldern. Signifikanta skillnader erhölls mellan 3- och 5-åringarna för ljuden /t k b g/ samt gällande användandet av förton för tonande klusiler. Jämförelser med vuxenvärden visade att vuxna i högre utsträckning hade förton för de tonande ljuden och kortare VOT för de tonlösa ljuden än de, i föreliggande studie, deltagande barnen. Inga signifikanta könsskillnader påträffades.Resultaten av föreliggande studie kan användas som referensmaterial vid bedömning av barn med talmotoriska störningar..

Rock singing - five vocal teachers´ experience of the female Voice.The purpose of this study is to find out what different vocal teachers have to say about rock singing and the female singing Voice. The method I have used to gather information is a phenomenographically inspired qualitative interview. The study begins with a few thoughts about my interest in rock singing, followed by a short overview about other research and literature that has been published on the subject. I have interviewed five vocal teachers in this study. All of them with many years experience of singing, both singing themselves and teaching professionally.

Title: Care of the Voice ? one part of the choir singing? The choir conductors work with children's and youths' individual Voices within the choir. The purpose of this study was to examine how four different choir conductors work with children's and youths' individual Voices during choir rehearsal. Further aims of this essay are to shed light upon relevant research within the topic. I used a qualitative method of researching observations with low structure and structured interviews.

En röststörning kan sägas föreligga då rösten inte fungerar eller låter som den brukar så att det påverkar kommunikationen. Prevalensen för röststörningar uppskattas till omkring 6 % av den vuxna befolkningen. När rösten inte fungerar som den ska leder det till emotionella, sociala och funktionella svårigheter för individen och har negativ inverkan på livskvaliteten. Voice- Related Quality of Life (V-RQOL) är ett självskattningsformulär som mäter vilken inverkan en röststörning kan ha på individens livskvalitet. Detta instrument är internationellt välanvänt, men har inte funnits översatt till svenska.

Vi har kommit fram till att chefernas reaktioner inte beror på omorganisationen i sig utan hur förändringsprocessen har gått till. Deras reaktioner speglar ett motstånd mot sättet som förändringsprocessen har genomförts på. Det är personerna i organisationen och inte organisationsformen som är det viktiga för cheferna. Vi tycker att de faktorer som påverkar en lyckad förändringsprocess är medarbetarnas delaktighet, möjlighet till en bra dialog innan beslutet är taget, kommunikation samt känsla av sammanhang..

In Sweden over 10.000 patients annually, mostly children, undergo tonsillar surgery. The most common surgical method is total removal of the tonsil, tonsillectomy (TE). During the last decade partial tonsil resection, tonsillotomy (TT), has been reintroduced and is associated with lower primary morbidity and less postoperative pain. The aim of the present study was to evaluate if and to what extent 4-5 year old children?s Voice function are affected by tonsillar hypertrophy compared to controls and to study the effects of the two surgical techniques on vocal function.
