The purpose of this study was to gain a deeper understanding of teacher´s motives to engage in outdoor education in their teaching. A qualitative approach through interviews was used and a total of eight teachers were interviewed. The result showed that there were several motives to engage in outdoor education. These motives were divided into three main categories which were: to engage in outdoor education from teacher`s interest, to engage in outdoor education based on teacher`s perceptions of children's needs and to engage in outdoor education based on external factors..

The aim with this study is to investigate how the role of the teacher has changed and how society has influenced the teachers' situation in the 1960s and 2010s, with a focus on teaching in secondary school. Starting in the late 1980s when the concept of profession was introduced to the Swedish teachers, many claim that a deprofessionalization for teachers started at this time. Others say that already in the 1960s, the teachers status in the society started to decrease.The method I have used is a rethorical analysis of articles in Swedish Teacher Union Journals. I have also availed myself of one article in the newspaper and articles in online magazines. The rethorical analysis aims to investigate whether the articles give an enthusiastic or dystopian approach to the teaching role, in a similar way as Thomas Karlsohn have used the concepts..

Title: Belting in teaching. A study of views and teaching-procedure.The purpose of this study is to map how the singing teachers at a Swedish college of music describe and implement the vocal technique 'belting' in their curriculum. This study is based on watching and interviewing six different teachers. The theoretical part deals with voice physiology and four different theories surrounding belting. The results show that the descriptions of belting vary between teachers and experts alike.

The education in Swedish schools today should be for all children. This means that even if a pupil has reading and writing disabilities the education should be in the classroom with the rest of the pupils. The education should include every one.The aim of my study was to investigate the education with pupils that have reading and writing disabilities. I wanted to get a deeper knowledge about working methods that are used for pupils with these problems.In my study I have used qualitative research methods. Syftet med studien är att undersöka hur sångpedagoger beskriver att de arbetar med röstregister i sin undervisning, vilka olika röstbegrepp informanterna använder sig av samt hur de förklarar dessa för eleverna. Med denna studie vill jag få en bild av hur terminologin påverkar undervisningen när samma register förklaras på olika sätt. Jag har utgått från kvalitativa intervjuer för att på så sätt få en mer utförlig bild av sångpedagogers uppfattningar och handlingar. Jag har intervjuat fyra sångpedagoger i olika genrer för att se om det finns någon skillnad i val av begrepp utifrån vilken genre de arbetar inom. För att kunna tolka och försöka förstå informanterna på ett djupare sätt har jag använt mig av ett hermeneutiskt förhållningssätt.

Forming teacher teams is currently the standard way of organizing teachers in Swedish Compulsory Schools. This is the result of a process that started in the 1970s.Traditionally the culture of teaching has been one of isolation. Once the door to the classroom is shut, what happens behind the door is up to the teacher to decide. Over the past thirty years a lot of time has been dedicated to making fundamental changes in the way teachers interact with their colleagues. Today the idea of teachers forming teams is generally accepted but still the core of a Swedish teacher?s job is that of a lone worker.

AbstractThe purpose of this study is to deepen my knowledge in how teachers can teach pupils with reading and writing disabilities, and also find out how a co-operation with remedial teachers can look like.The study is based on qualitative interviews with two teachers and two remedialteachers.The study shows that the two teachers´ co-operation with the remedial teacher appeared to bedifferent. The teacher who had the longest work experience was the one of the two that had a co-operation with the remedial teacher, the other teacher who graduated in 2007 did not have any co operation at all with the remedial teacher.The study also showed that the teachers and the remedial teachers in the study had different opinions about what method to use for pupils with reading and writing disabilities, and that the LTG method was the one most frequently used .All the participants in the study agreed that reading and writing disabilities is a large area, andthat there is a large variety in difficulties among the students . Some of the difficulties the participants had experienced were problems with decoding, pupils that had problems with learning the letters..

The goal of this study is to examine what five teacher?s impression of the teacher?s role is in their previous years. How important the ?joy at work? is in relation with the educational progress? And what aspects that contributes to the? joy at work? and what obstacles that stops them. The essay will also go through the concepts of a teacher role, with connection to the theoretical perspectives of Csikszentmihalyi?s Flow and Antonovsky?s Salutogenesis (KASAM).The method I used was interviewing five teachers and I used Larsen?s chapter of ?content analysis? as a basis, I also used Flow and KASAM as theoretical references in my analysis.

My aim with the experience-based essay is that I want to explore the implications of mathematics on children's development. I also want to examine my approach in relation to the various mathematical tasks. Why do we think that mathematics is important for pre-school children? Meeting the pupils at work it is important to endeavor an adjustment of the education with the purpose of developing the individual person. To make this possible it requires, except for the intentions of teaching with an individual adjustment, the teacher to make oneself acquainted with the schools work and liability. This is especially important in the work with students with difficulties. for this group of students perhaps an alternative form of education would be to prefer.As method of investigation I used a qualitative case study with a teacher who uses, what I would call, an alternative way of teaching. as a teacher you should pay attention to, and be aware of, how you effect your pupils and with this as a starting point conduct oneself.

The interactive whiteboard (IWB) is to be found in many classrooms in Sweden, and its number is growing rapidly. There is a lack of research of the use of the IWB in Sweden. The Swedish National Agency for Education refers to English research where the investment in the IWB in school is huge. In this study I will investigate how the IWB can be used as a mediating tool in the learning process. My study examines how interaction pattern appears when the teacher teaches with the IWB as a tool.

The population over 65 years of age is increasing and health in elderly has been a subject of research for decades but voice function and vocal health has not been prioritized. The purpose of this study is to obtain reference value for the Swedish version of Voice Handicap Index (RHI) and the Throat Scale among people over 65 years of age and assess voice function and vocal health for this age group. The questions were as followed:1) What is the reference value of RHI for people over 65 years of age? 2) What is the reference value of the Throat Scale for people over 65 years of age? 3) Is there a correlation between a self-rated VA-scale on the perceived degree of voice problems, and the self-rated RHI-/Throat Scale result? 4) Does age, gender or previous profession matter for the self-perceived voice?In total 100 individuals participated in the study, 50 women and 50 men, between 65 and 92 years old. The reference value of RHI for people over 65 years of age was 13,4 points and the reference value for the Throat Scale was 7,7 points.

The main purpose with this study was to get an insight in how to best be able to help children with language difficulties, and learn to see those who are in need of extra help and attention.The study is the result of three separate interviews with a speech therapist, a preschool teacher, and a teacher for children with special needs. The other information that my study is built on comes from books.The answers that I got from the interviews questions, have I built my discussions from.Since I only have done three interviews, can´t I do any general conclusions, from my findings.The answers that I got shows that it`s not always the same answers from the speech therapist, preschool teacher and the teacher for children with special needs, are the same. But most of the answers had a similar conclusion. The most important finding in my study, which also the literature agrees with, is that. The purpose of this essay has been to identify a couple of different factors that matter when a teacher chooses method and raw material for teaching his students. The person interviewed is a man, whose lesson I also observed. The result shows that there are several factors of great importance for his choice. My conclusion of this is that this teacher?s choice depends on the school as institution with all the people that operate there, the composition of the students and the school?s curriculum, but this teacher?s pedagogical basic view also has a great importance for his teaching..

This exam work project strives to investigate different roles a teacher can adapt to in classroom situations. The focus is on three different types, gained from a dissertation made by Evelyn Säll where she has investigated teacher students? opinions about the teacher?s role. These types are:the Dramatist, the Director and the Illuminator, and five teachers are defined accordingly. Questionnaires and observations are used as a tool in order to come to a conclusion.
