Denna observationsstudie utgår från elevers bilder så som de exponeras i tre rum i tre grundskolor. Bilderna kategoriseras som visuella yttranden baserat på semiotikens sätt att se på bilder som betydelseskapande handlingar. FN:s barnkonvention bildar tillsammans med läroplanen för grundskolan och kursplanen för bildämnet i grundskolan bakgrund mot vilken studiens resultat ställs. Tre pedagoger, en från varje skola, är kompletterande informationskällor till elevernas bilder.  Studiens syfte är att försöka belysa hur den visuella yttranderätten i grundskolan ser ut i praktiken och synliggöra hur mötet mellan elevers yttranderätt och undervisningens mål kan se ut. I arbetet ställs frågor som: I vilken utsträckning är grundskolan en plats för visuell yttranderätt? Vilken funktion får elevernas bilder? Var placeras, exponeras, elevernas bil der i de fall detta förekommer? När blir elevernas bilder klotter? Tre bilder producerade av elever har valts ut ur materialet och får representera en samlad bild av yttranderätten vid de undersökta skolorna.Undersökningsresultatet tyder på att elevernas bilder har en svag ställning ur kommuni kationssynpunkt, då bilderna i större utsträckning ses som moment i teknikövning eller bildkomposition än som språkligahandlingar.

In this thesis we present the procedures and outcomes of adopting two roles in a study: the role of a researcher and the role of a designer. The subject is crossmedia design. Crossmedia is a growing and changing trend for media producers of today its design is of great importance. The purpose is to create a concept from scratch that stands out from the crowd and engage people with the use of cross media as the approach. We also aim to investigate if a cross media designer can rely on previous research made within this subject or if the scene has changed.In order to test and to fully understand the process of the subject, we designed a crossmedia concept, based upon previous and related research.

There is a lack of published material regarding designing graphical user interfaces of so called integrated video uploading services. The term integrated video uploading services refers to homepages that do not have video uploading as its primary purpose but which still offers that service to its visitors. The aim of this thesis was to improve the amount of published material about designing graphical user interfaces for integrated video uploading services. This was done by performing a literature study to find general design guidelines which can be applied to design of integrated video uploading services. Thereafter the functionality and design of dedicated video uploading services was analyzed.

Detta är en kvalitativ studie som belyser om den visuella pedagogiska miljön bidrar till en förskola och skola för alla. Den frågeställning som ligger till grund för uppsatsen är; Kan den visuella pedagogiska miljön bidra till en förskola och skola för alla?Uppsatsens litteraturgenomgång har sex huvudrubriker där vi teoretiskt beskriver de grundläggande begreppen för vår frågeställning. Dessa begrepp är; en förskola och skola för alla, inkludering och integrering, delaktighet, kommunikation, visuell pedagogisk miljö samt funktionsnedsättning. Den empiriska undersökningen har skett triangulärt genom kvalitativa deltagandeobservationer, via intervju med pedagoger samt samtal eller samspel med barnen.

The last few decades the development in the field of electronics has been huge. The components performance gets better at the same time as the manufacturing cost decreases. Many of the design moments that have to be done, are done automatically today, but it can get better. Especially for analog circuit design.At Electronic System in Linköpings universitet, research is in progress to develop a tool that can design analog circuits in reasonable time. It means that it has to size the components (transistors, resistances, capacitances etc), so that the circuit can fulfill the performance requirements.

Syftet med denna studie var att genom semistrukturerade djupintervjuer, med särskild fokus på visuella gerillakampanjer, kartlägga de av byråerna benämnda karaktärsdragen för gerillakampanjer samt byråernas arbetssätt för dessa kampanjer.Fem semistrukturerade djupintervjuer genomfördes på respektive respondents arbetsplats utvalda genom ett kombinerat strategiskt och bekvämlighetsurval.Resultaten visade tydliga karaktärsdrag för en gerillakampanj. Utifrån dessa har följande definition tagits fram: en gerillakampanj kännetecknas av att den saknar köpt medieexponering och ofta karaktäriseras av en kreativ, ofta situations- och miljöanpassad, utformning som på egen hand väcker stort intresse eller uppmärksamhet relativt mot den nyttjade budgeten i syfte att skapa djupare relationer med mottagaren.Arbetssätten för en visuell gerillakampanj och vanliga gerillakampanjer skiljer sig inte nämnvärt mot arbetssätten för en traditionell reklamkampanj. Vid framtagandet av en gerillakampanj görs juridiska överväganden om huruvida lagöverträdelser kan komma att krävas. Det framkom även att spridningen i efterhand av en gerillakampanj var viktig för att få så stort genomslag som möjligt genom nyttjandet av traditionell media..

Bakgrund:Obehandlad postoperativ smärta kan leda till ett flertal komplikationer och försenat tillfrisknande. För adekvat smärtbehandling bör smärtan utvärderas regelbundet med en smärtskattningsskala som patienterna informerats om i det preoperativa skedet.Syfte:Studiens syfte var att undersöka hur patienter upplever smärtskattning postoperativt samt att undersöka om patienterna ansåg att de fått tillräckligt med information preoperativt om visuell analog skala (VAS) för att kunna tillämpa den postoperativt. Syftet var även att undersöka om ålder och genus har någon inverkan på smärtskattning.Metod:Enkäter delades ut på fyra vårdavdelningar på Akademiska sjukhuset, Uppsala. Det var 38 patienter i åldrarna 18-80 år som deltog i studien.Resultat:Tre patienter av 38 fick såväl muntlig som skriftlig information om smärtskattning preoperativt. Yngre patienter upplevde att informationen var tillräcklig i större utsträckning än de äldre patienterna (p=0,04).

This thesis is basically a design project aimed to find a safe and reliable automatic safety device, which is designed to be suitable for highly automated industrial situations. This device fits with ABB / Jokab Safety?s fence systems. These are built up around machines to create safety distances. The automatic protection device assist the operator in situations when loading or going in and out of the danger zone.

In this project an iPhone application for storing food and drink experiences was developed with focus on an easy interaction design. The already existing market of similar applications were studied and evaluated to extract their positive and negative features. Interviews with experts within the food and drink business where made in the pre study to get a good perception of how to divide and categorize the sections in the application. To optimize the usability, workshops with potential users with different technical experiences where continuously held during the development of the design.During the development two variants of development environments where evaluated. The final result of the application was developed in the environment that made the best impression and seemed to be the best alternative.The resulting product has a thought out design meant to be easy to understand, even for the first time users.

As organizations are generating more business intelligence in their systems, more employees need access those systems. As a result some sort of permission management needs to be implemented to ensure the information remain safe. Access Control Matrix (ACM) is one way of managing permissions and is widely used among organizations. The issues that comes with ACM is that the matrix itself gets difficult to manage and overview as its complexity increases with the number of permissions. The study utilizes Action Design Research to develop a tool for visualizing permissions.

SUMMARYThe demands on the public environment are big and in particular on the environment of communication which we spend a lot of time in on our way to work, school etc. The city-approach is a road section that leads from the periphery of the city to the centre of the city, often through boring and meaningless industrial areas that displays the back side of the city to the voyager on the city-approach. The intentions of this thesis in landscape architecture has been to study one of the two city-approaches to the city of Luleå, the close surroundings and contextual position in the city and not at least give suggestions of ways how the city-approach can be changed, clarified and improved. The study of the city-approach has been made by studying literature that concern city-approaches and the architecture of roads in general. Studies of different analysis methods has been made to find appropriate approaches to work with the specific study of the city-approach to Luleå.

The thesis is a case study that deals with public space based on how people use them. Public spaces are an important part of our city life and everyday life. Quality public spaces and places are due to its design and use, which are the primary aspects of this study. Hässleholm has been the location for the case study inventory items. Five different methods have been the basis for the study, and through them it has been possible to study what makes a room usable and unusable and what criteria is necessary for people to want to stay in the public rooms.

I denna artikel ämnar vi, genom att studera olika modeller med stöd för olika designsituationer, att skapa en modell som specifikt stöder design av crossmediaproduktioner då en sådan inte existerar i dagsläget. Genom att själva arbeta med en crossmediaproduktion för Non smoking generation fick vi chansen att på nära håll studera designprocessen och kunde på så sätt identifiera dess beståndsdelar och aktörer. Baserat på dessa och i kombination med teorier om design och crossmedia kunde vi skapa en egen modell som kan stödja framtida designers och producenter i deras arbete med designen av crossmedia..

In a world where conditionscan change as often as daily, being well prepared increases the opportunities to stayflexible and decrease negative effects of the changes.This study has been done in association with Skanska Foundations district North inStockholm in order to investigate how visual planning can be used in the productionmanagement to optimize the coordination and the quality.The history of Lean started at Toyota, but the concept are now spread over theworld and are used wide outside of the car industry nowadays. What?s challengingabout Lean in foundation projects is to embrace a long-term perspective and invest insolutions that are profitable in the longer term, instead of solve problems by onlytreating the symptoms.A holistic perspective is crucial in order to truly understand Lean.

This degree project aims to investigate the potential and possibilities for conceptual energyanalyses in the early stages of the design process. Many key decisions are made in theearly stages of a project regarding the shape and orientation of the building. Conceptualenergy analyses can provide the architects with insight regarding different design option?srelative energy performance.As the demands for more sustainable buildings increases, so does the need for earlyenergy analyses.
