This project is an attempt at creating a bag that is both functionaland has an interesting and relevant visual appearance. I have found that a bag that is functional usually have adapted certain aesthetics which are appealing only to a very limited target group. At the same time many bags that are more focused on style can be downright disabling to the carrier. I wanted to create a functional bag, and to explore new functions doing this, while working with aesthetics that stayed relevant and interesting to my target group. The bag was designed for the company Åhléns and their label WERA Stockholm, and theircustomers was the target group.

The purpose of this master's thesis is to evaluate whether it is feasible to use the panchromatic band of Landsat 7 in order to improve the spatial resolution of colour images. The images are to be used as texture in visual databases for flight simulators and for this reason it is important that the fusion preserves natural colours.A number of methods for fusing panchromatic and multispectral images are discussed. Four of them are implemented and evaluated. The result is that standard methods such as HSI substitution are not suitable for this purpose since they do not preserve natural colours. However, if only high frequencies of the panchromatic image are used the resolution can be improved without noticeable colour distortion..

In 2013 a new emission standard for heavy trucks was introduced and hence a number of new parts was brought in to Scania CV AB. This created a need for modifications in the silencers flow. The flow is highly complex involving several suppliers, call off methods and different models of silencers. The aim for this project was to improve the existing silencers flow. An automatic control system for calibration of pressure indicators has been constructed. This control system can be used as a complement to the calibration system located at AerotechTelub, division MainPartner, in Linköping. The calibration system used today contains some not wanted pressure changes, which is compensated by hand today. The new system presented in this report automates the calibrating process and simplifies the calibration. Suitable hardware as motor, controls card and so on have been found and software in the form of Visual Basic program has been developed.

Skyltdockor är ett exponeringsverktyg som har en lång historia inom klädsömnadsindustrin, en historia som genom decennierna förändrats och utvecklats för att attrahera konsumenterna på marknaden. Utseendet och skönhetsidealen som symboliseras har diskuterats och väcker idag, år 2012, stora debatter som är högaktuella.Syftet med forskningen är att studera den kvinnliga konsumentens associationer och attityd till skyltdockor på den svenska marknaden. Vi vill bidra till en ökad förståelse för marknadens attityder till skyltdockan ur ett företagsperspektiv, få en överblick över kommunikationskanalen och påvisa hur utformningen av skyltdockan ställs i relation till konsumentbeteendet.Forskningsfrågorna som behandlas i undersökningen är följande, hur ska skyltdockorna på den svenska marknaden utformas för att uppfattas som en effektiv exponerings- och kommunikationskanal. Vilka betydelsefulla argument är intressanta vid utformningen av en kvinnlig skyltdocka. Hur ska skyltdockan utformas för att attrahera den kvinnliga konsumenten och inge positiva associationer.

Allteftersom 3d-animerade produktioner blir alltmer vanliga både i film och i TV-produktioner och datorer blir kraftfullare varje år: så börjar realtidsrendering bli mer och mer aktuellt. I detta examensarbete kommer jag främst att koncentrera mig på att skapa koncept, modellering, texturering, behandling av material och ljussättning av en prototypkaraktär där målet är att se om det går att uppnå en så pass hög kvalité på det visuella, att det går att använda i en professionell produktion och om detta inte uppnås: ta reda på vad som saknas. Resultatet är en karaktärsmodell med en tecknad visuell stil med tillhörande återanvändbart material, som förhoppningsvis ser tillräckligt bra ut för att kunna användas i till exempel ett animerat barnprogram på TV.

Thule Sweden AB utvecklar, tillverkar och marknadsför kompletta och funktionella lasthållarsystem för bilar. De erbjuder en mycket stor bredd av olika lasthållare till över 1500 bilmodeller. De tillverkar lasthållare som cykelhållare, boxar, skidhållare, hållare för vattensport och andra tillbehör. För att en bil skall kunna bära en takbox måste det tillverkas en lasthållare som placeras mellan biltaket och takboxen. En del i denna lasthållare kallas för takbleck och dess form tas fram med en speciell takskanner vilken analyserar biltakets form vid kanterna.Till detta har en mjukvara tagits fram som Thule kan använda för att söka/lägga till/redigera takbleck, istället för att manuellt söka i en pärm bland 700 olika ritningar.

Uppsatsen utforskar legenden om den helige Antonius frestelse och det intryck helgonberättelsen lämnat på konsten. En ikonografisk metod används för att beskriva den litteratur som skapat och utvecklat berättelsen och ur detta systematiseras de motiv som sedan översatts till bildkonsten. Genom att analysera nio olika avbildningar av Antonius skapas en kronologisk följd över hur skildringarna genomgått en transformation sedan 1500-talet..

The thesis examined whether there is a distinct boundary between art and advertising. The collected data showed how art and advertising are linked to each other and also differ from each other, in particular through the latter half of the 1900?s. What was happening in society came to have great impact on what happened in art and advertising. In postwar Germany, capitalism realism evolved from the German pop art where the art was removed from the art gallery and placed on the streets where the people were, in an era that was characterized by a gap between the rich and the poor.

Denna uppsats syftar till att utveckla en förståelse för hur stråkinstrumentundervisning kan bedrivas då syftet är att lära ut en ergonomisk riktig spelteknik som förebygger hälsoproblem. Fokus i studien har varit på nybörjarundervisning samt HUR elever spelar. Studien har genomförts med hjälp av kvalitativ metod. Sex ergonomiskt kunniga och intresserade musiker och pedagoger har intervjuats. Deras specialområden är musikerergonom, sjukgymnast, kontrabasist, forskare, alexandertekniklärare och cellopedagog.

I work with and through glass and it´s from this field and tradition my work springs from. I am interested in how we look at and judge different expressions. I have been taught what visual expressions and shapes that are being appreciated and accepted and how to create objects like that. It should be clean, smooth, simplistic, and utterly pleasing. I recognize these attributes from what is being thought of as beautiful and desirable concerning the body.

Background: The majority of the occupational accidents and work-related diseases at Swedish workplaces occur due to poor ergonomics during lifts and transportation of objects. The most common consequence of poor ergonomic conditions is low back pain (LBP) and the risk of developing LBP increases as the mechanical loading on the intervertebral disks grows. This study has investigated the biomechanical loading in the low back during two different types of patient lifts. The first lift (lift A) is developed by Modern Arbetsteknik (MA) and the second lift (lift B) is a common lifting technique among care workers. Objectives: The aim of the study was to identify any advantages or disadvantages with MA?s lift, regarding shear and compression forces in the L5/S1 disc.

Initiativet till projektet togs av tandvårdspersonal på Specialisttandvården i Halmstad då de upplevde problem vid arbete med oral protetik. Problemet, som projektet även bygger på, innebär att komponenter tappas och på grund av gravitationen samt patientens position riskeras att inhaleras eller sväljas. Detta innebär ett stress- och orosmoment, vilket bidrar till en försämrad psykosocial arbetsmiljö för tandvårdspersonalen. 2008 infördes det statliga tandvårdsstödet i Sverige vilket innebär en reducerad kostnad för protetikingrepp som lett till att fler har råd med oral protetik. Därför blir problemet mer och mer utbrett, vilket gjort kravet på en lösning mer eftertraktad. I projektet har dynamisk produktutveckling tillämpats med stort fokus på involvering av framtida användare. Artikelsökning, observation och enkätundersökning i genomförd produktdefinitionsfas lade grunden till projektet.
