This report is the result of a degree project in building engineering, at an advanced level. The project evaluated a building from a technical and historical point of view, and focused on its energy consumption, particularly the energy used for heating. The building in question was a small apartment building in Strömsholm, Sweden. It was made in 1902, from vertical logs, a not so common form of the traditional log house. The goal of the project was to evaluate if the energy consumption could be reduced in accordance with building preservation regulations, that is without damaging any of the building?s cultural or historical values.The building was surveyed with the help of archive and literature studies, interviews and inspections.

Vid Industriellt UtvecklingsCentrum i Olofström AB utförs bland annat slitageprov av verktygsstål vid plastisk formning av plåt. Parametrar som undersöks är verktygstålsmaterial, plåtkvalitéer, ytbehandlingsmetoder, smörjning och olika kombinationer av dessa faktorer. Den nuvarande testmetoden upplevs av IUC som icke tillräckligt produktionslik. Därför skulle det vara önskvärt med ett mer produktionslikt slitagetest än det nuvarande. Vårt uppdrag var förutom att utforma ett nytt slitagetest även att undersöka intressenters synpunkter på den nuvarande testmetoden och önskemål om ett framtida slitagetest. Inledningsvis inventerades befintliga slitagetestmetoder för att försäkra sig om att särskilja det nya testet från befintliga testmetoder och kartlägga vilka egenskaper som undersöks. Eftersom önskemål om ett mer produktionslikt slitagetestmetod fanns behovet av att göra en studie för att definiera begreppet mer produktionslik.

Som grund för denna uppsats ligger en tidigare undersökning med titeln Undersökning av mental arbetsbelastning under instrumentflygövningar (Andreas Johnsson, 2004). Denna uppsats utgör en fortsättning på ovan nämnda undersökning. Liksom i Johnssons (2004) undersökning har en subjektiv mätmetod baserad på en niogradig skala använts för att utvärdera svaren på den enkät som använts för att få fram data. I denna uppsats undersöktes samma kurs som i den tidigare undersökningen. Det vill säga studenterna i kurs 03:2 vid Trafikflyghögskolan, Lunds universitet.

Background and problem: The abolishment of the mandatory audit in Sweden resulted in a marketorientation in which the small sized enterprises gained a stronger position. Theaudit firms are faced with the challenge to better meet the clients need and todemonstrate the value of audit now when it is optional. In coherence with thisclient focus it is endorsed to implement a value-based pricing that primarilyconsiders the client?s value and willingness to pay. The value of audit andaccounting services to small sized enterprises is not yet fully investigated, whyit is difficult to implement a value-based strategy.Aim: The aim of this study is to investigate the value of audit and accounting servicesto the small sized enterprises through the study of which attributes theseservices consist of and which priority the small sized enterprises attach to thedifferent attributes.

Hur kan man skapa en fungerande, kostnadseffektiv distributionslösning för direktleverans med en hög servicenivå för att tillfredställa kund- och konsumentbehovet? Problemet kan delas upp i en teoretisk och en praktisk del. Den teoretiska delen är att det inte finns en generell lösning på problemet. Det praktiska problemet är att företaget vi studerar, Lifebox, idag inte har någon lösning.Syfte Huvudsyftet med examensarbetet är att ge Lifebox förutsättningar för en fungerande, kostnadseffektiv distributionslösning med direktleverans med en hög servicenivå för att tillfredställa kund- och konsumentbehovet. Vi har också definierat ett delsyfte vilket är att skapa förståelse för de krav, behov och förväntningar som finns i Lifebox och dess intressenter.Metod För att uppfylla detta syfte måste vi använda oss av en metod som möjliggör att vi kan studera ett projekt i förändring och som samtidigt ger en lösning som knyter an till verkligheten i ett så brett perspektiv som möjligt.

The situation at Plastal AB is following; the plant in Simrishamn has not capacity enough but the plant in Kristinehamn has unused capacity. My task with this master thesis is to build a logistic flow between this two plants, optimize purchase quantities and ensure delivery safety.The production of the Intermediate Section (LS) will be divided between the plants. The LS will be produced in the following way; the injection moulding process will be done in Simrishamn and the assembling and lacquering processes in Kristinehamn, The reason to divide the production is to ensure delivery safety. Plastal AB can not move the whole production of the l.S because the two plants have different processes (moulding res. injection moulding).When the 1.5 has been transported to Kristinehamn following moments are included in this order; lacquering, welding and assembling.

Den här kandidatavhandlingen undersöker fördelarna och begränsningarna med Internetbaserade operativsystem i molnet, så kallade Internet OS, och hur IT-företag ser på ämnet. Internet OS är operativsystem som placerar sina resurser och processorkraft ute på Internet, ofta med hjälp av olika molnettjänster. Det finns problem och utmaningar med Internet OS. Dessa problem kan vara ett hinder för företag att överge de traditionella operativsystemen, som exempelvis Windows, och övergå till Internet OS. Det saknas undersökningar om IT-företag vill eller kan flytta sin verksamhet till molnet. Vi vill ge en tydligare bild och bidra med ny kunskap om företags syn på Internet OS. Arbetet har genomförts med en litteraturstudie som har fokuserats på vad den akademiska världen vet om Internet OS med fokus på Chrome OS. Litteraturstudie går in på fördelar och nackdelar, samt framtida visioner.

This thesis of 15 hp has been implemented at Halmstad University, in collaboration with Saab Dynamics in Linköping. Saab Dynamics is a company operating in the defence industry where competition is tough. This necessitates new ways to increase efficiency in the company, which is the basis for this thesis. Saab Dynamics wants to introduce simulation driven design. Since Saab Dynamics engineers have little experience of simulation, required a user methodology with clear guidelines.

This examination work is the final work in our education to become a Bachelor of Science inMechanical Engineering by the University of Lund.The main purpose with this work has been to develop a new effective material handling system for TPPM AB in Lund since the existing system starts to become out of date. The future system that is going to be installed shall have the capacity to support all machines with unit-, semi- and finished goods during full production. The work has also included studying the possibilities to change the material flow in a positive way between the storage and the production when one is using existing buildings.During our work we have been used a simulation program called AutoMod, performing company visits, interviews and reviewed internal and external information to create a picture of what the best conclusion can be. During the work we have contacted five suppliers to receive system solutions and quotatioris. The suppliers, which have been contacted, are Swisslog, Moving, Rocia, Christensen & Hansen and ABB.

Problem: Hur har dessa förändringar påverkat transporterna hos Postens kunder? Behöver de idag åka kortare eller längre för att komma till ett serviceställe eller till kassaservice? Har de bytt transportsätt?Hur har detta sin tur påverkat miljön i fråga om avgaser och utsläpp, framför allt koldioxidutsläpp?Har det medfört en positiv eller negativ förändring i miljöpåverkan?Syfte: Syftet med detta examensarbete är att undersöka hur transporterna och dess miljöpåverkan hos Postens kunder har förändrats i och med omstruktureringen i två serviceområden, Gävle, representerat av Gävle kommun, och Halmstad, representerat av Falkenberg och Halmstad kommuner. Detta görs genom att genomföra en postenkät.Metod: Efter att ha fått problemformuleringen gjordes en postenkät. Denna skickades ut till 1000 personer i tre olika kommuner. Utifrån de svar som kom in på enkäten gjordes en analys med hjälp av ett statistikprogram och resultaten analyserades sedan för att få fram ett svar på problemformuleringen.Slutsatser: Beteendet hos Postens privatkunder har inte förändrats mycket.

The study also consists of a valuation of what an emballage supplier can offer to add value to their services.Method: The study is based on interviews with people who are working at Volvo Logistics and Volvo Car Corporation. Volvo Logistics provide their customers with standard packaging material, which they own and administrate. Volvo Car Corporation is one of their customers.

This degree project deals with the concept of creativity and the creative output based on howSwedish upper-secondary design teachers within the Technical Engineering Programexperience this from a student's perspective. The project discusses how the concept creativityis interpreted and how the creative output is regarded by educationalists and professionaldesigners and how this then can be related to literature on the subject and in the steeringdocuments. The purpose of this degree project is to visualize the interviewees' viewpoint oncreativity and the significance of experience, skills, and environment for the creative outputand within the field of design. This in order to, in the pedagogic and didactic situation, enablethe improvement of teaching so that creativity and its output come to show. Moreover, theproject aims to create a ground for discussion of the view of the importance of these skills inthe pedagogic/didactic situation.In order to reach this aim, I have read literature on creativity from several perspectives andcarried out eight qualitative structured interviews: both with three educationalists withoutexperience within the design profession, and with two educationalists who are or have beenactive within the design profession, as well as with three professional designers.

This degree project has been carried out by Carolina Rapp and Jenny Tauson, students at Innovation and Design Engineer program at the Faculty of Technology and science at Karlstad University. The project was carried during Spring of 2009 and took 15 weeks of full time work.  Doppelmayr/Garaventa Group is an Austria/Switzerland corporate group and its associated company Doppelmayr Scandinavia lies in Sunne, Sweden. Doppelmayr/Garaventa Group is the world quality and technology leader in ropeway engineering. The degree project goal was to develop a new shaping of a surface lift. There are two kinds of surface lifts, platter and T-bars. The two kinds of surface lifts have some variation in design but only minor differences.

Purpose: Our ambition is to study consumers brand loyalty for daily groceries, with the purpose to understand how loyalty starts, how it can be strengthened, and how it can be broken.

This essay deals with ruins from the perspective of their cultural values ??and the impact of add-ons, protective add-ons and caring actions affect these values. The issues in the essay are; What are the cultural values of a ruin?  How have ruins been used?  How are ruins treated today?Initially the definition of the concept ?ruin? is discussed, what is a ruin? A building has an architectural biography: the creation, destruction, change and the decay. The concept of ruin is considered to be a state of this decay, rather than a dead building.
