Bakgrund: Stroke är en sjukdom som innefattar olika skador som uppstår i hjärnan som orsakas av en emboli eller en trombos som täpper till kroppens blodkärl där en förträngning finns. Detta gör att hjärnans celler inte får syre. Cellerna dör och en skada uppstår. Tre av fyra som insjuknat i stroke får kommunikationssvårigheter i form av afasi som resulterar i svårigheter att tala och förstå. Tidigare forskning har visat att personer som har afasi är beroende av den icke-verbala kommunikationen.

This essay investigates and compares the readability in two different schoolbooks: Eko Historia (the primary school grade 4-6) and Epos Historia (the upper secondary school). The questions of the survey are:- Which differences in linguistic and layout can be found between books meant for the primary school and books meant for the upper secondary school?- Are the texts easy to read according to the former research in readability?In order to answer the questions structural dimensions as lexicon, syntax, bounds between sentences and narrative voices have been studied. Also the texts disposition and typography have been examined.The results demonstrate that the book designed for the primary school has a verbal structure with an explicit vocabulary, lots of verbs and short sentences. A clear narrative voice gives an impression of spoken language.

 This bachelor?s thesis purpose is to examine how library staff experiences the meeting with non-Swedish speaking users of public libraries, and how they solve different situations. Today there is not much research on this subject but we find these questions important to study because we think it is good to be aware of the situations that can arise and discuss how to solve any problems. To have a basis for this qualitative study we conducted group interviews with library staff, where they are asked about their experiences with non-Swedish speaking users. In the analysis the results of the interviews are compared to previous research and related to communication theory, which is the theoretical framework for this study.

Syftet med studien var att söka ökad kunskap och förståelse för vad som sker i samspel mellan häst och människa. Syftet var också att belysa hur detta samspel kan ha en inverkan på psykosocial ohälsa genom att intervjua flickor med egen erfarenhet av fenomenet. För att uppfylla syftet ställdes följande frågor: Vad innebär samspel med en häst? Hur erfar flickorna samspelet mellan sig och hästen? Vilken betydelse upplever flickorna att samspelet haft/har för deras psykosociala ohälsa? Studien genomfördes med hjälp av kvalitativa djupintervjuer med flickor utifrån en temainriktad intervjuguide. Resultatet analyserades med hjälp av tre olika teorier inom psykodynamiskt perspektiv - objektrelationsteorin, anknytningsteorin och självpsykologin ? samt med hjälp av systemteoretiskt perspektiv.

Vi har utgått från sociokulturell teori där människan ses som formad av sin miljö men också själv är med och förändrar den.

The award-winning Norwegian novelist Karl Ove Knausgård achieved great success with his latest book, Min kamp. Both commercially and critically, the novel was praised for its seemingly successful attempt to transcend the boundary between fiction and real life. Focusing on the auto-fictional narrator?s struggle to balance his daily life with his ever so demanding aesthetic ambitions, the novel gives high-detail descriptions of the most basic day-to-day chores, intimately mixed with philosophical reflections on topics such as painting, literature and postmodern civilisation.This essay proposes an alternative perspective on the realism of the novel. Instead of relying on a correspondence theoretical view, which highlights the level of correspondence of a particular representation with reality, I seek, inspired by Martin Heidegger?s thoughts on works of art, to trace a poetics which sees the verity in a work of art as the ?unconcealment? of the world, or the coming-to-being of objects.

Studien handlar om demokrati och delaktighet i grundskolans tidigare år. Syftet är att se hur lärare och elever samspelar i samband med verbala arbetsformer. Hur ser lärarens roll ut i samband med verbala arbetsformer i klassrummet? Hur ser elevers kommunikationsutrymme ut i klassrummet? Vilka kommer till tals? Finns det någon könsordning? Frågeställningarna som styr uppsatsen, innebär att genus såväl som en demokratisyn genomsyrar hela studien. Undersökningen tar plats i en skola, i en förort till en större stad, där alla elever tenderar att ha liknande social och ekonomisk bakgrund.

Bakgrund: Telefonrådgivning är en vårdinsats vars innehåll har blivit allt mer utökad och det krävs en högre kompetens för sjuksköterskor som arbetar med det. Sjuksköterskan måste kunna tolka och bedöma icke-verbal kommunikation samt lyssna aktivt. Kommunikationen mellan den vårdsökande och sjuksköterskan har en central betydelse, för att sjuksköterskan ska kunna bilda sig en uppfattning om symtomen och göra korrekta bedömningar. Syfte: Syftet med studien var att belysa vårdrelationen vid telefonrådgivning sett ur sjuksköterskans perspektiv. Metod: En systematisk litteraturstudie genomfördes med totalt åtta vetenskapliga artiklar som inkluderades efter kvalitetsgranskningen, varav sju kvalitativa och en kvantitativ.

How a speaker can use their posture, gesture, facial expression and voice to create a strong ethos, pistis and sense of trustworthiness is, in this paper, associated with charisma (the power of leadership or authority).Verbal and nonverbal expressions from three particular speeches by Martin Luther King, John F Kennedy and Bill Clinton have been analyzed in depth. The results show that patos as well as strong nonverbal expression are factors in inspiring devotion or creating enthusiasm. Personal magnetism and radiance is also found to develop through figures of speech and rhetorical devices, including metaphors. Results show that facial expressions, pitch and other prosodic information are not always consciously taken in. Nevertheless, it is questioned whether such information can affect the ethos and pistis developed.

Syfte med denna studie var att identifiera måltidssvårigheter hos patienter med sjukdomen demens, belysa relevanta omvårdnadsåtgärder och att studera betydelsen av kunskap och utbildning hos vårdpersonal. Metod: Studien genomfördes som en litteraturstudie och baserades på 13 vetenskapliga artiklar. Artiklarna hämtades på Högskolan Dalarna biblioteket med hjälp av sökmotor ELIN och i databasen CINAHL. Sökorden som användes var dement*, nursing, eating, problem*, mealtime, apraxia. Artiklarnas kvalitet och evidensgrad baserades på modifierad version av granskningsmallar enligt Willman, Stoltz, Bahtsevani (2006) och Forsberg & Wengström (2008).

The aim of the study was to gain a deeper understanding of the expectations that assistant nurses in the elderly care have on unit manager's leadership and the consequences if the expectations are not met. To answer the purpose of this paper a qualitative research was conducted with interviews with six assistant nurses in municipal elderly care. To analyze the empirical material communication were used as a theoretical concept. Communication includes codes, signals and messages to be interpreted by the parties in a conversation and they can be both verbal and nonverbal. This means that communication is complicated and can cause confusion if it is interpreted wrong.

Background: Human interaction by touch plays a central role for our health and well being throughout life. When people touch each other our bodies release a hormone called oxytocin into the bloodstream, this gives the body a soothing effect. Touching on the other hand can be perceived as unpleasant if it is not in accordance with the patient?s norm or wishes. From biblical times and through to today human touch plays a central part of nursing.

The thesis was performed at the lighting company Zpecta AB. Zpecta needed to develop alternative attachment of their LED-luminaire Capella. Today Capella attaches in metal ceilings with four magnets. Zpecta got indications from their customers that there was a need for other attachments. The purpose is to determine the customer?s requirements and the interfaces that are considered for Capella.During the thesis, Capella was only on the market for testing and evaluation.The thesis was initiated to create a specification.

Vi intervjuar läraren för att se vad hon säger om teori och undersöker vad i lärarens praktiskaverksamhet som går att koppla till teorin. Vi har ett särskilt fokus på verbal kommunikation i klassrummet ochhur läraren leder och styr lärandet. Vi har utgått främst från Lev Vygotskijs och Michail Bakhtins begrepp ochnutida forskare, då främst Olga Dysthe och Roger Säljö.I resultatet framkom att läraren hade kännedom om vissa delar av sociokulturella perspektiv, men iobservationerna framträdde även sådant som hon inte pratat om i intervjun. En undervisning byggd kring attelever lär av varandra är återkommande i intervjun med läraren och tydligt under observationerna.
