This thesis describes the development of a tank insert for diesel cars, from idea to a prototype. The idea is to design an insert which makes it impossible to refuel petrol in a diesel car. The insert shall be installed in the existing tank opening on diesel cars. The tank insert is designed for the Swedish company SverigeGrepen AB located in Vänge, just outside Uppsala. Their main product is a pitchfork that is ergonomically designed and durable.A pre-study were performed in which information relating to fuel caps, tank openings, petrol- and diesel nozzles were collected.

Webbaserade system har tidigare kunnat beskrivas som relativt okomplicerade webbsidor och utvecklingsarbetet har många gånger varit ostrukturerat. Systemen har med tiden blivit mer komplexa och webbmiljön har övergått till att bli en plattform som kan stödja alla aspekter av organisatoriskt arbete. Vi vill i denna uppsats ge en inblick i utvecklingen av webbaserade system. Litteraturen beskriver olika faktorer som påverkar utvecklingsprocessen. Vi kommer att belysa ett antal av dessa faktorer samt åskådliggöra hur utvecklaren arbetar för att ta hänsyn till dem.

Målet med denna studie är att utveckla en adapterprototyp mot en öppen energiplattform och dokumentera utvecklingsprocessen. Fokus ligger på att integrera Philips Hue, ett system för styra trådlösa lampor mot plattformen Elis (Mobile services for energy e ciency in existing buildings). Inom en begränsad tidsram så ska vi sätta oss in i två främmande system till en sådan grad att vi kan skapa kommunikationen mellan dem. Inledningsvis krävs det att vi läser dokumentation och att vi jobbar fram en arbetsplan. Vidare kommer vi lösa den adaption som krävs för att värden mellan det två systemen överensstämmer och fungerar.

For systems with multicore processors contention for shared resources is a problem that occurs when several memory-intensive processes are executed in parallel within the same memory domain. This contention has a direct influence on the performance of the system and is a complex problem that has been recognized for a long time. An attractive and actively studied way to minimize this problem is by using a process scheduler adapted to allocate processor cores in a way such that contention for shared resources is minimized.With the introduction of multicore NUMA-systems (Non-Uniform Memory Access) the situation has become even more complex. In these systems the access time for processor cores to different memory domains vary depending on factors such as distance and load. Thus, the process scheduler also has to consider where the memory of each process is placed to minimize the distance and balance the load on each memory domain.This report presents a user-level process scheduler for a NUMA-system based on the multicore processor Tilera TILEPro64.

The use and attention given to the certification system ?Miljöbyggnad? has increasedin recent years. The system is completely Swedish and was initiated in 2005 by theBygga-Bo-Dialogen. Miljöbyggnad aims to create a healthy indoor environment, reduceenergy consumption and discourage the use of hazardous chemical substances. Thegrades that can be obtained are Classified, Brons, Silver and finally Gold.The work has been to examine three different models and conclude how the designof the models affect the grades in the certification system Miljöbyggnad.

Transcending sound design is possible. There are unseen possibilities and a great potential for improvement and development in sound and music design ? but there is a great difficulty penetrating the obstacles that lies in the way for such development to take place and to exist. The difficulties in being negotiable and productive lies more within the limits of the audience it has to gain, than in itself. It is as though music and sound design has to evolve very slowly, in an almost evolutionary style; one step at a time, to be accepted.

Denna uppsats redovisar huruvida användarmedverkan kan ses som en kritisk framgångsfaktor i införandet av ett ERP-system. ERP-system kan sägas vara en vidareutveckling av Informationssystem (IS) och i tidigare avhandlingar och uppsatser har det framgått att användarmedverkan är en kritisk framgångsfaktor vid införandet av olika IS. I samband med detta kunde därför följande hypotes formuleras:Borde inte användarmedverkan vara viktigt även i införandeprocesser av ERP-system?Med hjälp av denna hypotes så har uppsatsens frågeställning specificerats enligt följande:Kan användarmedverkan ses som en kritisk framgångsfaktor i samband med ERP-system?Vad innebär i sådana fall användarmedverkan i samband med införandet av ett ERP-system?Hur och med vilka hjälpmedel kan man involvera användare vid införandet av ERP-system?Syftet i denna uppsats är att skapa en uppfattning om, och i sådana fall varför, användarmedverkan kan ses som en kritisk framgångfaktor i samband med införanden av ERP-system. This thesis has been carried out in collaboration with two students at the Department of Dental Medicine at Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm, Sweden. The aim of this project was to construct a computerized decision support system to facilitate diagnosis of changes in the Oral Mucosa using information collected by the above mentioned students. A program which poses specic questions to the user was constructed with the Java programming language. Depending on how these questions were answered, one or more possible diagnoses were presented by the program. In order to conclude whether or not this program was of any use in terms of time savings, a series of tests were run and timed both when using the program and when not.

Net-based criminal activity is a challenge for society as it uses hard proof technologicalsafety measures to avoid the law. Silk Road is the most prominent example, an online illicitmarketplace where drugs and illegal substances are being traded based on conventional e-commerceconcepts. This paper argues for trust as an important factor for the survival of illicit online trade andapplies existing theories on e-commerce and virtual communities. To identify patterns of trust andcommon trust-based issues among Silk Road users, a netnographic study was conducted on the site?sdiscussion forum.
